Thank you Forever for a copy of Snowed in For Christmas!
“A fun and festive romcom featuring a grumpy/sunshine duo who find themselves stuck together over the holidays, where the weather outside is frightful—but inside, things are heating up in this sexy holiday story.”
Perfect for fans of The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood and those who generally enjoy the sunshine/grumpy trope and forced proximity set during Christmas time! Unfortunately, the story just did not work for me and I found the author was doing more of a “telling” rather than “showing”. It also had that classic “she’s so fragile and petite” (eyeroll) which really put a damper on my enjoyment of the book lol. It is fast paced and easy to read; plus, the forced proximity is cute!
A sweet, steamy little winter romance.
I really liked the main character and her unique job. I loved that she was labeled as "too much" and she was unashamed. I loved how silly and over the top she could be. The grumpy neighbor and the misunderstanding was okay and I rolled with it. I did an audiobook and the steamy scenes had me blushing in the breakroom at work! Cute, sweet = I thought it was a great wintertime read!
A huge thank you to the author and publisher for providing an e-ARC via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book.

I can't care about Becca or Harrison for some reason. I've picked this up like 4 times and it isn't for me.
I generally love a snowed in forced proximity!
Thank you to netgalley, forever for the arc
I adored this story! Snowed In for Christmas by Jaqueline Snowe is a grumpy-sunshine contemporary romance about two neighbors stuck together during a snowstorm. Sorority mom Becca Fairfield is looking forward to having a two-week break alone in the house over the holidays, however she severely underestimated the snow storm that is moving through. Without power and a broken window upstairs, the house is more like a giant freezer than shelter. Thankfully, her neighbor, the college’s football coach and a guy she dated once, offers for her to shelter with him. What’s the worst that could happen?
I like Becca. She is comfortable in her own skin, and she is done making apologies for her quirks. Most people see her as “too much.” Becca doesn’t take that judgment to heart though. She just shrugs it off (and that person) and moves on which has led her to her swearing off of men. Why should she change to make a man like her more? Cannot agree with that sentiment more!
Harrison Cooper is the football coach and neighbor who after one date two years prior blew off Becca. However, unbeknownst to her, it was unintentional and with very good reasons behind it. Harrison is the grumpy to her sunshine. He’s introverted and shy for a football coach, but it works for his character. I love how it is in contrast to Becca. Becca helps him come out of his shell some and even improves his coaching abilities.
Overall, I really enjoyed Snowed In for Christmas. The romance was sweet with some spice. Becca’s willingness to overlook Harrison ghosting her two years prior sets the stage for their story. If you are looking for a spicy romance surrounded in snow, I highly suggest this one.
There might be a blizzard brewing outside, but things are getting quite steamy in romance author Jaqueline Snowe’s first holiday novel, Snowed in for Christmas! Snow coming down, a fire burning bright, a football coach and sorority house mom who have been avoiding each other after a failed first date two years prior … it’s the makings of a hot and heavy holiday love story.
Becca is ready to spend the holidays alone in the sorority house that she manages, but when a blizzard blows in, she finds herself seeking shelter from the storm with her hot neighbor, university football coach Harrison. Normally, Becca wouldn’t protest cozying up with a wildly attractive man, but Harrison is THE man. The man who hurt her badly two years ago, ghosting her after their first date. Becca is used to guys thinking that she is too much, and while she tends to just brush it off, it has been difficult with hot Harrison living right next door.
As the pair take refuge in Harrison’s home, they learn that maybe they both had the wrong idea about what went down between them after their first date. And if they can see past their differences, is it possible that a future may be lying in wait for them? With the wind and snow picking up outside, things are heating up indoors with Becca and Harrison no longer able to deny their mutual attraction for each other.
While I generally do not prefer steamy Christmas stories, Snowed in for Christmas was so cheesy, yet cute, that I didn’t mind the high level of heat this book cooked up. This novel is an easy, light-hearted read that doesn’t get bogged down with a lot of minutiae and long-winded conversations. Around the holidays, I am usually looking for fun reads that don’t require me to think about all of the world’s troubles, and Snowed in for Christmas is absolutely a book that you can pick up when you want to shut down your worries for awhile.
This book does have a lot of steamy open door love scenes and corny bedroom talk, which is generally not my thing, but I tolerated it well with this novel because I liked both of the main characters. While I wouldn’t hold these two up as a pinnacle of relationship idolatry - it seems that the foundation of their love story is built on insta-chemistry - this “blizzard buddy” fling provides enjoyable escapism.
Read this one when the weather is frigid!
A cute, feel-good holiday romance. I liked the setting and that it was a little different from a typical holiday read.
Cute and spicy forced proximity romcom. It’s always a good time when two people who are attracted to each other get stuck alone and need to use each other for body heat. Definitely more of a winter rom-com than a Christmas rom-com. I was expecting it to be more of a sports romance since he’s a football coach, but the sports are sparse. Overall, it’s a fun and easy romance read perfect for cold winter nights.
Loved this book so much! The plot, the characters, all of it. With Christmas and winter right around the corner I will definitely be adding g this to my list to recommend to others
This lighthearted romance is perfect for the holiday season. Becca, a goofy and colorful girl, finds herself under the same roof as Harrison, a grumpy football coach who ghosted her two years ago. Despite her insecurities, Becca remains true to herself and works as a sorority house mother. However, the blizzard-buddy fling and language make the story feel forced and surface-level. The potential for emotional depth is missed, with multiple open-door scenes and explicit details.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for this advanced copy for an honest review.
This had many tropes I love! I love holiday romances where the MCs are snowed in, and I also love a good grumpy curmudgeon. The characters were well developed and the plot was super engaging. Loved!
This holiday romance novel is a cozy, heartwarming tale that perfectly captures the spirit of the season. Set against a backdrop of festive decorations and winter wonder, the story follows two characters who find themselves thrown together in unexpected circumstances. Their initial differences spark tension, but as they navigate holiday traditions and shared experiences, a charming romance begins to bloom.
"Snowed In for Christmas" by Jaqueline Snowe is a festive holiday romance filled with warmth, humor, and just the right amount of drama. The story centers on two characters who, thanks to an unexpected snowstorm, find themselves stuck together during Christmas. The forced proximity leads to a charming romance that unfolds naturally, full of witty banter and heartfelt moments.
I love the cozy, small-town setting, which adds an extra layer of charm to the story. The chemistry between the main characters is palpable, making their journey from strangers to lovers believable and enjoyable. The book also touches on themes of self-discovery and overcoming past hurts, giving it depth beyond just a simple holiday romance.
While the plot is somewhat predictable, it's the kind of predictability that feels comforting, like a warm blanket on a cold winter night. The supporting characters add to the festive atmosphere, making this book a delightful escape for the holiday season.
This was such a cute winter time read!
Becca and Harrison had one amazing date and then he never called. Two years later, a blizzard gives them a shot for a second chance.
I loved that Becca learned to love and accept herself quirks and all. She’s comfortable in herself, but has let other people’s opinions way her down. And poor Harrison, divorced and dealing with family issues. He was definitely a grump. But I liked how he listened and valued Becca. His growth was great and he went from grump to total sweetheart.
I enjoyed the college campus type setting but the characters weren’t students. The side characters added to the story. This was a fun book and great for anyone wanting some spicy winter vibes.
I got about half-way through the book and stopped, I just couldn't get into it! I did like the female main character, but the book just wasn't for me, unfortunately.

Snowed In for Christmas by Jaqueline Snowe is a standalone holiday romance that made me swoon. I absolutely loved it. I laughed and felt so good reading this. I think this will be gifted to my friends this year so they can have some feel good time too.
That’s not to say there isn’t depth to this book because there is. The story is fantastic and the characters are so relatable. I loved it!
This happened to be my final book for Christmas in July 2024 and I couldn’t have found a better book to end the month with. (I may have to revisit it for Christmas 2024 too!)
If you love Hallmark Christmas movies, you should totally read this one! If you happen to be Hallmark Christmas….please make this a movie!!!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thank you to NetGalley & Forever Publishing for the eARC.
I’m typically a big fan of grumpy/sunshine & second chance romance but unfortunately I didn’t love the way it was done in this book. Becca is so sunshiney that at times it comes across a little too over the top & cringey to be lovable. I had trouble buying into the love story between Becca & Harrison & the connection they had years ago. Harrison’s reasons for not calling Becca just didn’t make sense to me. It seemed overly dramatic & hard to believe. There were cute moments but overall it just didn’t work for me.
Snowed in for Christmas by Jaqueline Snowe had well-developed characters and a plot that was engaging. This book was a great read. I highly recommend!

This was a fun grumpy/sunshine, snowed in romance!
Becca was a sweet heroine who is tired of people telling her she's too much or too different. She also hates running into her neighbor Harrison who ghosted her after a date a couple of years ago. When a huge snowstorm forces them to stay together they realize there's a real connection between them.
The story moved at a good pace and I thought they both had nice character growth as well. They each had issues with their family that informed their views on relationships, and I liked how they both faced those issues as their relationship grew.
This was a nice read and I'm so glad I finally picked it up!
I felt like this one had a lot of potential, but unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. It took me a long time to figure out how to review this one. I wanted more for the story. The misunderstanding/miscommunication was just a little too much.
When Becca Fairfield and Harrison Cooper find themselves stranded together during a major snowstorm, the story shines through their evolving relationship. Initially, their bond starts with a memorable kiss and some tension, but as they face the storm together, their connection deepens in surprising ways. Becca's initial doubts about Harrison's commitment give way to moments of genuine intimacy, revealing the complexities of both characters.
The chemistry between them is well-crafted, with each interaction adding depth to their relationship. The setting—a snowy backdrop and a cozy shelter—adds to the charm of their developing romance. Though the plot follows familiar romantic tropes, the heartfelt and believable growth of Becca and Harrison's relationship makes the journey worthwhile. Their shared experiences during the blizzard lead to a satisfying and endearing holiday romance, making it a perfect read for the season.
