Snowed In for Christmas by Jaqueline Snowe is the perfect holiday rom-com! With sizzling tension, witty banter, and the classic grumpy-sunshine charm, this book had me hooked from the start. Becca’s relentless optimism is the perfect foil to Harrison’s gruff demeanor, and their forced proximity creates so many laugh-out-loud moments. Becca’s bright and colorful personality, along with her love of hot chocolate, adds so much warmth and charm to the story. Harrison may be grumpy, but his connection with Becca is undeniable, and watching them navigate their feelings against the backdrop of the holiday season made for such a fun read. The chemistry between them was instant, and while the tension was undeniable, their playful banter kept things lighthearted and full of laughs. The moments they shared were touching, and of course, the spice added some extra heat to the romance! This book would make the perfect Hallmark Holiday Movie (minus the spicy moments, of course). If you love a Christmas romance with humor, heart, and sizzling chemistry, Snowed In for Christmas is a must-read!

What a cute rom-com. It’s hard to make a holiday romance really stand out but I enjoyed this one and the characters. I love myself a good bookworm FMC.

Becca Fairfield had one plan for the holidays: a solo Christmas, a stack of books, and a firm do not disturb policy. What she didn’t pencil in? A record-breaking blizzard, a power outage, and getting snowed in with the one person she’s been actively avoiding—her broody, football-coach neighbor, Harrison Cooper. After a steamy kiss two years ago and a spectacular ghosting, their dynamic is frostier than the weather outside. But when circumstances force them into close quarters, sparks start flying, and Becca realizes that maybe, just maybe, there’s more to Harrison than his scowl and a well-timed exit strategy.

Jaqueline Snowe serves up a holiday rom-com full of sizzling tension, witty banter, and the classic grumpy-sunshine charm. Becca’s relentless optimism is the perfect foil to Harrison’s gruff demeanor, and their forced proximity creates plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and slow-burn chemistry. That said, the plot leans hard on the miscommunication trope—sometimes frustratingly so—and the resolution ties up with a bit too much holiday magic to feel completely earned. But if you love a cozy, snowy setting and a romance that’s equal parts sweet and snarky, this one delivers.

At 3.5 out of 5 stars, "Snowed In for Christmas" is the literary equivalent of a Hallmark movie with just enough spice to keep things interesting. It’s fun, it’s flirty, and it’s best enjoyed with a warm blanket and a cup of cocoa—preferably while side-eyeing your own grumpy neighbor for potential main-character energy.

Thank you to the publisher for the review copy! I just couldn't get in the mood for this one, but I do love this author!

Cute story. It was enjoyable, at times predictable. Good old forced proximity and grumpy/sunshine. Thanks to the publisher for my copy.

Cute premise, but kind of feel flat for me. I feel like this story could have been more "angsty" - they were enemies to lovers real fast! I feel it could have been more developed.

Becca, a sorority mom is never taken seriously by guys, but when Harrison football coach and her next-door neighbor starts taking notice things change. In the past, they went on one day, but they never went anywhere.. now it might be more than just sex. Now they have to decide the real thing or not.

Jaqueline Snowe’s Snowed In for Christmas is a delightful holiday romcom that perfectly blends sizzling chemistry, laugh-out-loud humor, and a generous dose of Christmas cheer. Fans of grumpy/sunshine pairings and forced-proximity tropes will be absolutely charmed by this festive debut.

The forced proximity during the blizzard is the perfect setup for romance. As the snow falls and power outages force Becca and Harrison to hunker down together, their walls begin to crumble. Snowe masterfully builds tension, balancing banter, heartfelt conversations, and moments of undeniable heat. The chemistry between Becca and Harrison feels authentic, and readers will root for them as they navigate their undeniable connection and the emotional baggage holding them back.
What sets this book apart is the balance of humor and heart. Becca’s witty inner monologue and her ability to draw out Harrison’s softer side bring levity, while the exploration of their vulnerabilities and fears adds emotional depth. The holiday setting—complete with cozy fires, hot cocoa, and snow-covered scenery—wraps the story in a festive glow, making it a perfect seasonal read.

Snowed In for Christmas is the kind of book that feels like a warm hug on a cold winter night. Becca and Harrison’s story is proof that sometimes, love can thaw even the iciest hearts.

I really loved this! A perfect Christmas book with characters that grabbed my attention right from the start. They were quirky and well developed and this was a feel good book perfect for this time of year.

This was cute! It was a little long- the "snowed in" portion could probably have been cut down a bit. Also the miscommunication was very annoying, especially towards the very end. But overall was a fun cute romance with some spice!

Thank you Forever for a copy of Snowed in For Christmas!

“A fun and festive romcom featuring a grumpy/sunshine duo who find themselves stuck together over the holidays, where the weather outside is frightful—but inside, things are heating up in this sexy holiday story.”

Perfect for fans of The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood and those who generally enjoy the sunshine/grumpy trope and forced proximity set during Christmas time! Unfortunately, the story just did not work for me and I found the author was doing more of a “telling” rather than “showing”. It also had that classic “she’s so fragile and petite” (eyeroll) which really put a damper on my enjoyment of the book lol. It is fast paced and easy to read; plus, the forced proximity is cute!

A sweet, steamy little winter romance.

I really liked the main character and her unique job. I loved that she was labeled as "too much" and she was unashamed. I loved how silly and over the top she could be. The grumpy neighbor and the misunderstanding was okay and I rolled with it. I did an audiobook and the steamy scenes had me blushing in the breakroom at work! Cute, sweet = I thought it was a great wintertime read!

A huge thank you to the author and publisher for providing an e-ARC via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book.

I can't care about Becca or Harrison for some reason. I've picked this up like 4 times and it isn't for me.

I generally love a snowed in forced proximity!

Thank you to netgalley, forever for the arc

I adored this story! Snowed In for Christmas by Jaqueline Snowe is a grumpy-sunshine contemporary romance about two neighbors stuck together during a snowstorm. Sorority mom Becca Fairfield is looking forward to having a two-week break alone in the house over the holidays, however she severely underestimated the snow storm that is moving through. Without power and a broken window upstairs, the house is more like a giant freezer than shelter. Thankfully, her neighbor, the college’s football coach and a guy she dated once, offers for her to shelter with him. What’s the worst that could happen?

I like Becca. She is comfortable in her own skin, and she is done making apologies for her quirks. Most people see her as “too much.” Becca doesn’t take that judgment to heart though. She just shrugs it off (and that person) and moves on which has led her to her swearing off of men. Why should she change to make a man like her more? Cannot agree with that sentiment more!

Harrison Cooper is the football coach and neighbor who after one date two years prior blew off Becca. However, unbeknownst to her, it was unintentional and with very good reasons behind it. Harrison is the grumpy to her sunshine. He’s introverted and shy for a football coach, but it works for his character. I love how it is in contrast to Becca. Becca helps him come out of his shell some and even improves his coaching abilities.

Overall, I really enjoyed Snowed In for Christmas. The romance was sweet with some spice. Becca’s willingness to overlook Harrison ghosting her two years prior sets the stage for their story. If you are looking for a spicy romance surrounded in snow, I highly suggest this one.

There might be a blizzard brewing outside, but things are getting quite steamy in romance author Jaqueline Snowe’s first holiday novel, Snowed in for Christmas! Snow coming down, a fire burning bright, a football coach and sorority house mom who have been avoiding each other after a failed first date two years prior … it’s the makings of a hot and heavy holiday love story.

Becca is ready to spend the holidays alone in the sorority house that she manages, but when a blizzard blows in, she finds herself seeking shelter from the storm with her hot neighbor, university football coach Harrison. Normally, Becca wouldn’t protest cozying up with a wildly attractive man, but Harrison is THE man. The man who hurt her badly two years ago, ghosting her after their first date. Becca is used to guys thinking that she is too much, and while she tends to just brush it off, it has been difficult with hot Harrison living right next door.

As the pair take refuge in Harrison’s home, they learn that maybe they both had the wrong idea about what went down between them after their first date. And if they can see past their differences, is it possible that a future may be lying in wait for them? With the wind and snow picking up outside, things are heating up indoors with Becca and Harrison no longer able to deny their mutual attraction for each other.

While I generally do not prefer steamy Christmas stories, Snowed in for Christmas was so cheesy, yet cute, that I didn’t mind the high level of heat this book cooked up. This novel is an easy, light-hearted read that doesn’t get bogged down with a lot of minutiae and long-winded conversations. Around the holidays, I am usually looking for fun reads that don’t require me to think about all of the world’s troubles, and Snowed in for Christmas is absolutely a book that you can pick up when you want to shut down your worries for awhile.

This book does have a lot of steamy open door love scenes and corny bedroom talk, which is generally not my thing, but I tolerated it well with this novel because I liked both of the main characters. While I wouldn’t hold these two up as a pinnacle of relationship idolatry - it seems that the foundation of their love story is built on insta-chemistry - this “blizzard buddy” fling provides enjoyable escapism.

Read this one when the weather is frigid!

A cute, feel-good holiday romance. I liked the setting and that it was a little different from a typical holiday read.

Cute and spicy forced proximity romcom. It’s always a good time when two people who are attracted to each other get stuck alone and need to use each other for body heat. Definitely more of a winter rom-com than a Christmas rom-com. I was expecting it to be more of a sports romance since he’s a football coach, but the sports are sparse. Overall, it’s a fun and easy romance read perfect for cold winter nights.
