This is a really cute Christmas read. As a girl who lived in a sorority house for two years I can say that house moms are absolutely not late 20 somethings who are your older sister like bestie lol but it did bring back many a wonderful sorority house memory.
Becca and Harrison are the epitome of grumpy sunshine and each have their own family drama to work through. I enjoyed the blizzard/snowed in together aspect. It felt far more real than most “snowed in” books. I did feel like they were both a bit too over the top in their characterizations but it was still a fun, sweet, quick Christmas read.

Happy Pub Day to Snowed in for Christmas!

There are different types of holiday books - those about the holiday, those set during the holiday, and some are a combo. This book is set during Christmas and it’s a perfect read with twinkling holiday lights, some cocoa, and snuggly blanket - especially if you live in an area that gets snow (like me)!
.
I love that the author lets you know that she got to know her (now) husband while being snowed in with him…and it was the inspiration for this story.
.
Becca is a sorority house mom and Harrison is a coach at a college. They went on a previous date and he pretty much ghosted her after. Becca is clumsy with a huge heart. Harrison is grumpy, a thinker vs a speaker, and completely hot for Becca.
.
It’s a romance full of grumpy/shine, opposites attract, forced proximity, (kind of) second chance romance, and full of steam! With Christmas break being the backdrop of the story. I have to say, I am here for all of it!

The biggest thanks to @netgalley and @readforeverpub for the opportunity to read Snowed in for Christmas!

This book had such potential and sounded so good!!! Neighbors get snowed in together when a big storm blows in, giving them a second chance at love. However, it felt very surface level, with lots of gratuitous banging. I wanted more emotional depth to this story and was left wanting more if I'm completely honest. A good first attempt and I would still read more by this author, but her debut was a bit disappointing for me. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

A holiday read where the two main characters are stuck together in the middle of a blizzard, without power and forced to tough it out together - yes please!
I loved this Christmasy read so much and drank in all the fun banter, Becca and her bright and colorful spirit, her hot chocolate obsession and quirky ways. I enjoyed the unfortunate incidents that brought the main characters even closer and obviously the spice. The only thing I did not care for was the miscommunication, especially when it had been drug out for far too long. Thankfully the story didn’t falter too much due to it and in the end this was a great holiday read 💖🎄
Thank you Forever, NetGalley and Jaqueline Snowe for the copy of this book 💖

First, I'm impressed the copy I got was an unedited version. There were very few errors and I loved that! This book was cute, steamy, and feel good. I loved that he loved and appreciated every quirk she has and didn't try to make her change. Both lead characters were great. The only thing I didn't like was all constant misunderstanding and lack of communication. All in all, this was a great Christmas romance. Thanks for the chance to read this!

Meet Becca- the vibrant, loving house mom to a sorority of 50 girls. She fills the world with color and can make anyone feel at home.
Cue Harrison- the grumpy, shut off football coach that lives next door. He always has a chip on his shoulder and feels his team crumbling out of his control.
After a hopeful first date, Harrison ghosted Becca and they haven’t talked much since. That is until a blizzard hits over Christmas break forcing the two to be snow buddies. Will the forced proximity break the tension or is Harrison’s heart too cold to melt?
This is one that started off slow for me but then really took off halfway through. I enjoyed Becca’s character and loved her honesty! This book definitely had more spice than I was expecting (like as early as chapter 10 spice!) overall, it was a cute read to start off my Christmas spirit!
You’ll enjoy this one if you like
grumpy x sunshine trope
forced proximity
second chance romance
rated R hallmark vibes

Cozy Christmas came early with this one! Was this a bit on the nose? Sure, but it was such a warm hot cocoa delight that I didn’t care. A grumpy-sunshine pair is perfect for the holiday season and Becca and Harrison were perfect MCs and brought out the best in each other. I don’t need my Christmas rom-comes doing too much so this was the perfect distraction and start to the holiday season!

This was a perfectly fine holiday romance. I thought the chemistry between the two main characters was really good and I enjoyed their interactions. I did feel like the third act conflict was a bit clunky and didn’t fully make sense. Overall a fine read that will get you into the holiday spirit.

In the mood for a snowed-in, forced-proximity, sweet and steamy, grumpy-sunshine, holiday romance? Have I got the book for you!
I loved this story. It's funny, awkward, emotional, sexy. It gave me so many feels on so many levels. Becca is a quirky, out-of-the-box character who is humiliatingly aware that some people find her annoying and "too much." Shoot, Harrison (who ghosted her two years ago after one date) admits he did so because he thought she was high maintenance. Also, because his head wasn't in a good place at the time but still...he ghosted her! Kudos to the author for not glossing over that. I loved how Becca held him accountable for it, how they brought it into the open, how they communicated, that Harrison owned up to his behavior and sincerely apologized. There were many behaviors (between the main couple) that I was happy to applaud in this story.
This book has all the ingredients for a light, fun, steamy rom-com - and there's plenty of that - but Snowe takes it deeper and I am here for it. I love Harrison's growth, the fact that he becomes open to it, in both his personal and work life, and that it's initiated by the time he spends with Becca. I appreciate the time taken to show the toxic results of actions by certain members of his family and the changes that occur when he finally stands his ground. Becca is a character I admired and happily cheered on. She readily admits she's not everyone's cup of tea but I found her endearing, admirable, and bubbling over with life, love, and the right priorities firmly in place. These two match like the last two pieces of a puzzle. They just needed a "snowpocalypse" to force them to look below the surface of who they thought the other was and discover the endearing complexities that make them the perfect fit for each other.
I had not heard of Jaqueline Snowe before reading Snowed In for Christmas (twice) but you can bet I'll be checking out her back list immediately. I love her writing voice and am excited to read more of her work. This one has my enthusiastic recommendation.

ARC received from publisher via NetGalley. Fair and unbiased review.

I loved the premise of this book., but sadly it didn’t work for me. There was so much promise for a fun forced proximity romance. I mean snowed in during a record breaking snow storm, yes please. But the characters felt very immature and aside from all of the steam I would have thought this was a YA. I felt like the author was trying to hard with Becca’s character. She was over the top, which I know is supposed to be part of her personality, but it just came off as cringy. Harrison is emotionally unavailable and seemingly stuck on his divorce. The relationship between them just didn’t feel believable. Plus, it was missing the holiday vibes for me. Sadly, this just wasn’t the right holiday romance for me.
Thank you Forever for the eARC to read and review via Netgalley.

Unfortunately Snowed In for Christmas was a DNF for me.
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for the opportunity.

When the book starts out with how the FMC got suckered into an hours long HGTV marathon I knew this was going to be a great book. It's a torrential downpour thunder and lightning day in the PNW and this was a perfect read while I'm waiting for some holiday baking to be done in the oven.
Becca and Harrison are snowed in over Christmas at the college they both work at (her sorority house mother, him a college football coach and her next door neighbor) after a date years ago and her being ghosted, they were corridial but when a snowpocolypse brings them together as, we'll, blizzard buddies, they make the most of their time to say the least (🌶🌶🌶). With plenty of heart to hearts and huddling for warmth they both fell first and fell hard, leading into one heck of a heartwarming epilogue.
While this took place over Christmas break, highly reccommend for a snowy or rainy day anytime of year!! 🥰
Thank you Netgalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the ARC in exchange for my review!

What a perfect way to start the holiday season! Snowed In for Christmas was a super cute and super steamy holiday romance. Just what you need on a cold winter night!
This was an amazingly fun grumpy sunshine Christmas book.I really loved the chemistry between Becca and Harrison, and their banter was the greatest!
Definitely add this one to your holiday reading list!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are my own.

The elusive holiday book with STEAM - I’ve found one for you!! This is literally the ultimate snowed in at Christmas story! Besides a touch of annoying miscommunication, I ate up every second of these “blizzard buddies” nearly freezing to death (but, finding creative ways to stay warm 😜😜😜).
What to expect::
•Grumpy x sunshine
•Opposites attract
•Snowed in/forced proximity
•College football coach
•Sorority house mom
•Felt more wintery than Christmasy
•Central Illinois setting (I need to know where!)
•Some serious moments and family drama thrown in
•Dual, first person POV

Snowed in and without power two neighbors unexpectedly spend the holidays together. I really enjoyed the dual point of view and grumpy/sunshine trope. I would have liked a few more holiday tradition elements throughout the story. I think someone looking for a steamy Christmas romance would love this one.

I wanted to like this one so badly. A blizzard, stranded neighbors with one ill-fated kiss years before… what’s not to love? But halfway through I still didn’t find it compelling. The characters weren’t terribly likable and the set-up felt incredibly long without any real chemistry building.

This was such a fun grumpy sunshine Christmas book! I really liked the chemistry and banter that the two main characters, Becca and Harrison had throughout the whole story. I loved how the blizzard itself was almost a character! I liked the supporting characters, especially Harrison's sister! I think forced proximity is such a fun trope and it was done really well in this book!
This miscommunication near the end of this book I found extremely frustrating and somewhat unnecessary. I feel like it could have been resolved sooner by both main characters. This did bring my rating down a little bit. I also read over 100 books a year which are a majority romance so the miscommunication trope has to be done extremely well for me to really enjoy it in a book.
If you are looking for a sweet, quick holiday book than pick this one up!

A Blizzard for Christmas? Here are reasons to read the historical fiction book:
College Neighbors - Becca and Harrison are neighbors on a college campus
Sorority mom and Football Coach - she is a sorority mom and he is a football coach
Christmas Blizzard- but when a blizzard hits during christmas break, they are forced to spend some time in the same house even though they had a disastrous date previously
It was a cute holiday story. It was a lot about how they kept their time in the house, which as you can imagine got a little steamy. I thought it was a really nice story to read on a cold day, cozy by the fire. Both the main characters have issues they need to work through of course, but overall it is one that is just okay.

Truly enjoyed the story of the Miller family—their interactions and individual stories. The characters were well thought out and loved the humor. Thank you for one of the best books I’ve read so far. Truly enjoyable!

Thank you ForeverPub for the eARC--all thoughts and opinions are that of my own.
the weather outside is frightful, but the fireplace is so delightful... and steamy

Sure, Halloween and Thanksgiving are coming soon here but like CHRISTMAS! And Jaqueline Snowe! Like come on.
This needs to be on your Christmas Spirit reading list. Honestly even if you don't celebrate Christmas and want some warmth from the impending cold weather look no further.
My word did it get steamy... Ironically--so hot. But it went the extra steps and also made it so emotional as well with difficult families.
Becca was so much fun and her quirks weren't left to die after the beginning. She is who she is the entire way through.
Harrison has a lot to work through in this book and he does. His melting (ha ha) within the book and how he is gone for Becca is adorable.
I also appreciate how much they encourage each other throughout their weaknesses. Sure this takes place over a few days, but everything was really realistic in progression.
It's a perfect weekend read. Add hot chocolate and maybe some wine (or whiskey). The plot is perfectly set up and everything is tied up at the end!!
I highly recommend picking this book up. Especially if you've read other books by her (and if you haven't--please do so! they're sooo good!).
