Jaqueline Snowe crafted the perfect holiday romance novel. Forced proximity due to a blizzard which just so happens to cause quirky sorority mom Becca to spend a few nights with her grumpy next door neighbor Harrison. There's family drama, hot chocolate making, staying warm in the only bed in front of the fireplace, taking care of each other, and hilarious banter. Think your favorite Hallmark movie but make it spicy.

Becca and Harrison love next door to each other. Will a blizzard forcing them to spend time together be enough to give each other a chance? A fun festive read.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
Snowed in for Christmas is the perfect steamy Christmas read that I've been looking for! Read this one if you love:
- Grumpy/Sunshine
- Second chance
- open door/steamy
- snowed in/one bed
Be sure to add this one to your Christmas TBR!

This fun winter/Christmas book had me remembering some of the epic blizzards and ice storms I've experienced over my lifetime, albeit none of them involved being snowed in with my hot, grumpy neighbour and falling in love!
This new book from Jaqueline Snowe (the last name is so appropriate) is a fun new book that will be great for the winter season. It has some Hallmark-esque qualities (I'm not complaining; I adore Hallmark movies) but also goes a bit deeper with each MC doing some personal work to grow as people, Harrison in particular.
I thought that having Becca as a sorority 'mom' was a fun twist and really helps to set her up as a nurturing soul, someone who can be tough but also patient as Harrison works through his issues. Her cheerful, colourful attitude and wardrobe are in stark contrast to Harrison, the college football coach who is bitter, angry, dejected, and comes across as close to losing all hope that things could go his way. Becca inspires him to want to change, to do things differently, and to be different. In turn, Harrison helps Becca to understand that she is lovable and wonderful just as she is.
I wish we had gotten a bit more info in the epilogue about Becca's new direction in life (apart from being with Harrison, of course), but that's really all I would change about the book.
Thanks to Berkley, NetGalley and the author for an eARC of the book.

A fun read, and definitely one to add to your TBR if you're looking for a wintery, christmassy romance!

Snowed in For Christmas is a wonderful book to read this winter if you are stuck inside with the snow. I do love that the book is written by someone with the last name Snowe. Makes me feel like she knows what she's talking about :)
The book features Becca and Harrison. She’s the quirky, talkative sorority house mom and he’s the quiet, grumpy football coach that lives next door. They went on a date two years ago but he ghosted her. They are now facing a massive blizzard. When the power goes out, they decide to hunker down together. They resolve the ghosting quickly and become Blizzard Buddies. This book gets pretty spicy and I'm honestly surprised that they didn't melt the snow outside with the heat.
The book does feature mainly the two of them but they are enough to carry the story with just the two of them. Harrison has some hard things in his life and I understand the grumpiness but he is a big teddy bear underneath. Becca is the ultimate sunshine character who is so much fun.
Thank you to NetGalley, Forever Publishing and Jacqueline Snowe for the eARC. This review is my own opinion.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ebook. This book was so cute and such a easy and fast read. I loved Becca with all her insecurities and I loved Harrison and all his grumpiness. Halfway thru this book I was like this is like the movie with Ann Farris just because of the whole Sorority Mom vibes and I was into it.

Becca is a bright and quirky house mother to her sorority girls. She enjoys guiding and supporting all the girls and especially loves the holidays. After being ghosted by her hot football coach neighbor Harrison she tries to avoid him at all costs. But with a major snow storm about to hit she can’t avoid Harrison any longer. Broken windows and cancelled travel plans cause Becca and Harrison to brave the blizzard together. Long talks in front of the fire airing out their past and cuddling to stay warm, Becca and Harrison soon become close. But are they just “snow buddies” or do both Becca and Harrison want to give their relationship a real shot?
I adored this holiday romance, very sweet but also sexy! I connected with Becca in feeling the odd woman out and wondering why I haven’t met my person yet. I also get Harrison since I also tend to be an introvert and feel weird in social situations and tending to avoid them. I loved these two characters and how they learned to support each other and their differences. What a cute read!

This is a lighthearted second chance open door winter romance. Cute enough with all its tropes, this is low stakes and fun. I found that the main character talked/rambled so much that I would zone out at times but was still able to keep up!

DNF Details:
How far did I get? About 40%, then I did some skimming just to give it the benefit of the doubt.
Why did I stop? It really, really wasn’t working for me. Lots of repetitive thoughts from the characters, who both harbor lingering feelings about a failed date from two years ago yet refuse to discuss the situation. They felt like college students, but were actually full-on adults, so it came across as juvenile. I also thought some of their internal thoughts were contradictory, which had me confused. My ARC copy definitely needed some work before it was ready for game day. But the bones of the story just weren’t working for me – I’d already lost interest before they embarked on their “blizzard buddies” fling, which certainly didn’t help the situation. Just not a win for me.
Was I enjoying it initially? No. I’ve heard good things about this author’s work and have been meaning to check her out, so a holiday romance seemed like a great fit. I love a snowed-in romance, and forced proximity is always a plus. But it did not take long for me to get a feel for the vibe, and I would’ve set it down much sooner if I didn’t have an ARC.
Would I finish this? No interest in doing that.
Who would I recommend this to? It’s a cute wintery romance with a lighthearted feel and lots of spice, so I’m sure there’s an audience for it. It would probably appeal to New Adult lovers the most, because it’s not a NA romance but it’s set on a campus and has a younger feel.

Snowed In for Christmas is a second chance romance between a sorority house mom and the football coach next-door. One date two years previously ended in Harrison ghosting Becca, but when a terrible blizzard hits their area, they end up "blizzard buddies" for survival. While there are a LOT of miscommunication issues in this book, many of them are just due to two people needing to learn each other better. I especially appreciated how Harrison changed in communication for all areas of his life and how he took Becca's advice seriously. His sister and her family are cute side characters for the few scenes they are in, but the blizzard forces most of the action to be just between our two main characters.

This was a fun and cozy holiday read! We follow Coach Harrison and Sorority Mom Becca in stuck in his house for a winter blizzard during Christmas. These two had previously been on a great date and then nothing ever happened which was a bummer for Becca. The sparks sure flew this time and neither of them expected it. The ease with which their relationship grew was so genuine and natural but they had their reservations. Them overcoming their pasts, insecurities and choosing happiness was so sweet. It was all the warm feels that you get from a hallmark movie but in spicy book form, so I would highly recommend for the upcoming season!

This book tells the story of Becca, a college sorority house mom, and Harrison, a college football coach at the same university, who find themselves stuck together after a major blizzard and power outage over winter break. Becca, who was ghosted by Harrison two years prior after (what she thought was) a great date and first kiss, still harbors some resentment (and maybe embarrassment) over the incident, but when a window breaks in the sorority house, and she finds herself with no power and very little wood for a fire, she reluctantly agrees to stay with Harrison until power is restored.
I love Becca’s character! She is fun, unique, and confident without projecting “I’m not like other girls” vibes. She knows that she can be “a bit much” for some people but refuses to make herself any less. I did think the first spicy scene seemed a bit rushed, and I kind of expected Becca to wake up saying it had been a dream. However, I think that overall their love story seemed to mesh well, and the miscommunication seemed to resolve itself well enough. I would recommend this for a sweet, quick Christmas read!
Thank you to Forever and NetGalley for the ARC, which in no way impacted my review!

Snowed in for Christmas is author Jacqueline Snowe’s 25th novel, all with a tie of some sort to the sports world. In this story, Harrison Cooper is a college head football coach at a Midwest university. Becca Fairfield, his next door neighbor, is an upbeat sorority house mom. Although they shared a lovely date two years ago, he has ghosted her ever since. As a result, Becca has avoided him!
Then comes the first day of winter break and the advent of a Snowpocalypse. Harrison comes to Becca’s aid as the power goes out and brings her back to his smaller home with a well stocked fireplace and supplies to wait out the storm. But perhaps, what is offered will turn out to be so much more.
This is a delightful second chance story. I very much enjoyed this book and I do recommend it.

Loved this! Fun, festive, heartwarming, with great characters and some depth. Great holiday read! Will definitely be recommending for holiday reads!

Oh, what a wild ride this book was! Picture this: Becca, the house mom for a sorority, brings a dash of quirkiness that's off the charts. I mean, the girl can talk! Sometimes, she talks so much that I found myself in a paragraph-skipping marathon. But hey, that's part of her charm, right? And Harrison, oh boy, he's smitten with her over-the-top persona, proving that there's a lid for every pot, even if it's a lid with a lot of quirks!
Becca and Harrison, they're like peanut butter and jelly – an unexpected combo, but it works! But let's talk about those steamy scenes. You know what they say, sometimes awkwardness can be endearing, right? Those scenes had me cringing and giggling, all at once.
Now, about the whole "neighbors with history" thing – they were neighbors, alright, but they conveniently ignored some major history. Harrison's disappearing act after their epic date? That was a head-scratcher. And don't even get me started on the snowstorm misunderstanding – the lack of explanation left me as puzzled as Becca.
But here's the kicker: despite the Christmas in the title and the snowy backdrop, the festive feels were MIA. It was more of a winter romance than a full-blown Christmas extravaganza.
In the end, this story didn't quite make my heart do somersaults, but I won't stop anyone from diving in. I can totally see how some folks might fall head over heels for it. After all, in the world of romance, there's a reader for every book, just like there's a lid for every pot – quirks and all!

Jaqueline Snowe is a must read for me. This contemporary, forced proximity, holiday romance was a delightful getting ready for xmas treat. Becca and Harrison had that blizzard time fun most women dream of. If this as close to the experience as I can get, then its the perfect consolation prize. Highly recommend.
Thank you to Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and NetGalley for providing an eARC for a honest review.

This was a cute, festive Romcom however it was a little too open door for me with explicit scenes and language that made me cringe.

Just as the campus empties for the holiday break, Snowpocalyspe is coming in strong. Becca Fairfield, sorority house mom, believes she is ready and can take it on while she enjoys a quiet holiday break from her girls. She also has time to avoid her mom’s continued bad date set-ups. However, the first morning of the blizzard, Becca wakes up to cold weather inside and the power off. Knocking at the door is her worst nightmare and potential savior all at the same time. The football coach, Harrison Cooper, is at her door making sure she is okay and suggesting she wait out the blizzard at his house. This way they can shelter together and make sure they are both safe. Being Blizzard Buddies was only for their safety. Becca reluctantly agrees and knows that nothing will happen because she has already been through Harrison’s ghosting and knows he isn’t the dating kind. However, she’s doesn’t take into account the power of a blizzard and the need to stay warm in front of a fireplace. It might only be a couple of days, but things get heated quickly for Becca and Harrison, but are they being just those Blizzard Buddies or are they just playing with fire.
With the amount of steam in this book, I am surprised they didn’t just melt that blizzard away. I read through this on some flights and definitely might have been snickering a time or two. Just hot. I mean, hawt. I have experienced being snowed in during a blizzard and my experience was nothing like Becca and Harrison’s. I enjoyed those two and their steam filled romance. This was my first book by Snowe and she knows how to bring that heat. It was a quick romance that would be perfect for that snuggle up in front of a fireplace.
Thank you Net Galley, Forever Publishing and Jaqueline Snowe for the advanced copy for my honest review. This one was published on the 3rd, so no need to wait to snag this one for your TBR.

I've been so burned by contemporary romances this year, that I was pretty hesitant to read Snowed in for Christmas. But it hit all the right notes and the length of the story was perfect. Becca was the perfect ray of sunshine with a heart of gold and Harrison was the perfect curmudgeon that needed to let the sunshine into his cold dark life. The forced proximity of the blizzard ensured that these two had to COMMUNICATE and it was nice to see adults acting like adults for once. I enjoyed every moment of the story and the end was a satisfying payoff.

Unfortunately, this one didn't work for me. I enjoyed the main chrwfyrrs, but their constant misunderstandings of each other started to wear on me. I needed more plot and more holiday cheer. May have happened it I had made it all the way through, but alas.....
