Snowed in for Christmas was the perfect sexy Christmas romance! It was so tropey and just wonderful. You will find yourself falling in love with sorority Mom, Becca, and grumpy football coach, Harrison. This second chance romance is the perfect mixture of sexy, cozy and cute.

I love how weird and odd Harrison and Becca were.. Becca in particular was just absolutely hilarious, she was like a talkative unicorn. Plus the sheer amount of tropes that the author managed to fit into this story was just absolutely perfect!

It is a little frustrating how long Harrison takes to pull his head out of his butt, and I wish I had a little bit more romantic Harry. There are some deeper topics covered, so as always, make sure to check any trigger warnings.

This was such a fun romcom! Such a great Christmas read. I will have to check out more works by this author.

This is the kind of Christmasy romcom that you know what will happen and you love every second of it anyway. Becca is so sweet and exuded color off the page, which made her the perfect foil to Harrison's grumpy gray.
It made me happy to get through this one in a Hallmarky kind of way. The characters were way better than Hallmark characters but the situation was. Still I couldn't put it down.

This was a delightful rom com with laughs and feel good moments that will put a smile on your face. The story is a well written second chance romance that fans of gumpy-sunshine books will love. The story flows smoothly from page to page even with a horrible winter weather at the forefront. You will easily fall in love with the amazing characters as they are fun, realistic and relatable. These 2 main characters are wonderful together and I couldn't help but love them as they learn to open up and let love in. This was a very enjoyable read.

Becca is my favorite type of character. The one that gets ghosted and never gets a second date but she ends up ending up in forced proximity with her grumpy handsome neighbor.
Loved how they helped each other with their families. Also there may have been some hypothermia concerns so they had to keep eachother warm. It got pretty spicy.

Read if you like:
❄️dual POV
❄️opposites attract
❄️grumpy football coach x sunshine sorority mom
❄️only one bed (mattress)
❄️forced proximity: stuck in a blizzard together

Thank you readforeverpub for the e-ARC for my honest and voluntary review.

After being told by dates that she's a bit too much for them to handle, the heroine decided to stop dating for now and just focused on her job, the heroine prepares to be alone during the holidays. Yet an unforeseen situation before a major blizzard prompted the heroine to ask the help of her neighbor, the hero who ghosted her years ago. And as the storm raged on, the hero and the heroine must face their past and their simmering attraction for each other in this Jaqueline Snow book.

This book has a nice cover and title that definitely grabbed my attention. Though the book is set during the holiday season, the vibe doesn't reflect the holiday cheer so much as being mentioned in the story. The hero and the heroine are reflective of the grumpy/sunshine trope, which is one that I love to read about. I would have liked some more details added in the story, including a bit more about the hero to give a better image of this character in my mind. It would have also been nice if the story had shown the first meeting between the two main characters, rather than being told about it. Therefore, the book is an enjoyable read but it does feel like it needs a bit more to the story.

Snowed In For Christmas is the story of a woman (a house mom for a sorority) who is staying on campus for winter break and ends up sheltering place during a blizzard with the football coach for the university. This is the coziest holiday book. These two had instant chemistry so lots of swoonworthy and steamy moments but also lots of perfectly placed pop culture references, cozy vibes and feel good moments. It was grumpy and sunshine with forced proximity. So many romcom tropes that made it a cute winter read.

this book was so cute! if you love forced proximity, blizzards, grumpy/sunshine, and second chance, this is for you!! in this we are following sorority mom becca and college football coach harrison as they are snowed in days before christmas. they actually briefly dated in the past, so we’re seeing them talk through that and get a second chance together! absolutely recommend for your holiday tbr!

thank you to netgalley and forever (grand central publishing) for this eARC! this book is out now!

Thank you Forever for my copy! All thoughts are my own.

From the title alone I knew I NEEDED to read this book. It was super cute, very spicy, and festive. However, it lacked a groundedness I was hoping for so while I loved the tropes and the vibes, it didn’t leave a lasting impression on me.

I will say, I loved that it felt like a little bit of a spin on Legally Blonde. Becca was such a sweet and quirky main character and I liked Harrison too, I just wanted a little bit MORE from them so they felt a little more real.

Synopsis:

“Sorority mom Becca Fairfield is used to guys not taking her seriously. She’s too blond, too quirky, or Just. Too. Much. So she’s ditched dating to focus on her job and a house filled with drama and plenty of tea. Now with the holidays and a major blizzard on her doorstep, Becca has everything she needs to survive the next two weeks on her own. Hot cocoa, plenty of books . . . and the memory of a steamy kiss with a certain sexy, grumposaurus next-door neighbor to keep her warm.Only Becca’s seriously underestimated this Snowpocalypse. So when the power goes out and Harrison Cooper—football coach, master crank, and the guy who acted mega-awkward after said steamy kiss—offers her shelter, it only makes sense to accept. They’ll just be Blizzard Buddies. Hang out, stay safe, and maybe indulge in a little R-rated cuddling. Becca knows that Harrison isn’t the dating kind, and what happens during the storm lasts only as long as the storm. But are they keeping warm . . . or playing with fire?” —NetGalley

What I Liked:

The Tropes—”Snowed In” has to be one of my favorite tropes of all time. The stakes are so high! I just love it.

The Energy of the Characters—Last year I really liked “Tis the Season for Revenge” which was Legally Blonde inspired and I felt like this was Legally Blonde meets The House Bunny in a Hallmark movie. It was super cute!

Festive Vibes—It was super wintry and cozy but not too cheesy Christmas.

What Didn’t Work For Me:

Felt Two Dimensional—I just was missed a deeper connection between the characters. Everything felt a little surface level in my opinion.

Disjointed Meet Cute/Beginning—This is sort of a second chance romance because the characters go on one failed date two years before the novel begins, but it just didn’t feel that way. And the beginning was so strange, it felt like we were starting and stopping until about 30%.

Character Authenticity: 2/5 Spice Rating: 3.5/5 Overall Rating: 3.25/5

Content Warnings:

divorce, car accident, drunk driving

I received an eARC for my honest opinion.

What would you do if you were stuck in a blizzard, and you really didn’t know what to do to stay safe? Would you go with your sexy neighbor, remember though he did you dirty after that one and only date you had. Or would you really try to stay in your own house and handle everything all by yourself?

I really liked this romcom a lot. I thought the plot was well developed, the characters were likable and easy to relate to, and the world building was believable. If you like romcoms with opposites attract, grumpy meets sunshine, a little of found family vibes, one bed, great characters, and some steamy moments I recommend this book to you.

I thought Becca was the perfect character for being the sunshine person. She has flaws and things that most women can relate to feeling and not understanding or knowing what happened after a date. I loved her personality; I really could see myself being friends with her in real life. She is just so bubbly and understanding. She helps out anyone that needs advice or a nudge in the right direction to show them what she sees when she looks at them. Now not everyone can handle or understand her quirks and I think this is why the story gets better because you see him understanding her more and more throughout the book and she has a way that brings Harrison out of his shell and gets him talking.

I like Harrison, he is a typical football coach but at the same time he still wishes for more. He just doesn’t think he is worth it or that he can do it right in his life and just has learned to accept it, even though he doesn’t want to. In his book you will really see the character growth from Harrison and it’s just like an onion he has layers and layers that you see the transformation from his old self to a better one. I liked the fact that he was able to be silent near her and she understood that it’s just who he is and when he had time to think things through, he would then talk about it. She really helped him understand and step up by expressing how and why he feels things.

There were a lot of things that I loved about this romcom, the forced to share a bed, the steamy moments, the romance, the humor, and the serious talks in the book. I will read more from this author for sure and I hope my review helps you to pick up this book.

I want to thank NetGalley and Grand Publishing for the opportunity to review this book.

I really enjoyed the premise of this book. I love when a character doesn't have a "typical" job and therefore really enjoyed the idea of Becca being a house mom for a sorority. Lord knows I like a quirky heroine but Becca was just a little too much at times and I found myself skimming paragraphs where she rambled on, which makes me feel bad because part of her issues in the book stem from being too much/not quite enough. However, Harrison loved that side of her so it was nice to reinforce the idea that there is someone for everyone and that everyone is worthy of being loved for exactly who they are.

In general I like both Becca and Harrison and think they were good for each other. However, a lot of the steamy scenes were awkward and kind of cringey. I also had trouble reconciling that they were neighbors but avoided acknowledging how Harrison ghosted Becca after their great date two years prior and then not getting a full explanation about what Becca misheard after the snowstorm ended that made her assume they were over. Also, despite the word Christmas in the title the story taking place over a few days at Christmas, there was a lack of festive feels and therefore felt more like just a winter romance.

Overall, I just didn't fall in love with this story but I wouldn't necessarily steer anyone else away from reading it. I can totally see where people will really enjoy it.

This cover is everything I love. I need all the Christmas things. I just love the grump/sunshine and one bed trope!! I feel like I relate to Becca so much. I am weird and love it too! The story was sweet and so spicy. Harrison was such the grump with a big heart. I will definitely be reading more by this author. Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

What a delightful second chance holiday romcom! I loved every minute of this book and read it in one sitting.

The book is set just before Christmas in a central Illinois college town during a blizzard. High winds and below zero temperatures make losing power, and thus heat, a life threatening situation. Losing power during a blizzard with no source of heat is one of my greatest fears living in rural Illinois, so the setting really hit home for me.

Becca is the house mom for a sorority and is staying in the house alone while the girls return home for the holiday break. Becca is totally my girl! I saw so much of myself in her and could relate to her quirkiness and clumsy moments. She is perfect for the job of house mom; empathetic, invested in the lives and wellbeing of the girls, and dedicated to continued learning and improving on her leadership skills. I don’t recall Becca being characterized as neurodivergent, but her anxiety spirals, coping strategies during stress, and the dismissive comments that made her feel she didn’t fit in, make me wonder.

Head football coach Harrison Cooper ghosted Becca after promising to call her following an amazing kiss after their only date two years ago. Even more frustrating to her, he lives in the house next door. She’s been able to avoid him as much as possible, but a broken window and clothes blown about by the gusty winds of the incoming blizzard and onto Harrison’s porch make her luck run out.

Thank you NetGalley and Forever for the advance digital copy. My review is honest and voluntary.

This is a new to me author and for whatever reason I expected a cute, Hallmark movie type story (like some of the last few I've read). As expected, it WAS a cute, fun story with an over the top, quirky character (who kind of reminded me of...me -- too much for some people lol) and a closed up character who seems to be more lost than found. However, it was NOT a Hallmark movie type story lol. This puppy had steam...nicely appointed steam. Or as my bestie called it "Smutty Hallmark". Most of the book takes place from right before Christmas through New Years so I would absolutely consider it a holiday story (despite other reviews to contrary). The general themes of love, respect, forgiveness and giving run throughout. I will absolutely read more from this author in the future.

Christmas and a blizzard!

Sorority house mom Becca Fairfield was looking forward having a break and catching up on her reading after all of the girls go home for Christmas with a blizzard coming and a broken window. Becca plans change when the power goes out and her only neighbor is Harrison Cooper, the football coach next door that ghosted her after their only date two years ago.

Snowed In for Christmas is definitely opposites attract with Becca being full of sunshine and wanting everybody to be happy and Harrison being the grumpy coach thinking that he might be fired if the team continues to lose and now he has to deal with Miss Sunshine until they the power comes back on.

Snowed In for Christmas is a fun read where you will want a cup of hot cocoa to warm up with while you read about Becca and Harrison.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Snowed in for Christmas by Jaqueline Snowe
Contemporary romance. Grumpy sunshine troupe. Opposite attracts.
Becca Fairfield has the school holiday planned with hot cocoa and plenty of books. As soon as all the girls leave for home, she’ll have the sorority house to herself along with a break from her job duties as house Mother. What she didn’t plan for was a broken window, a once-in-a-century blizzard and a power outage.
When the power goes out, Harrison Cooper offers Becca a place to stay warm at his house next door. He has plenty of chopped wood for the fire and lots of blankets to keep them warm in front of the fire. He will need to apologize for not calling her after their date two years ago. He wasn’t ready for a relationship then. Now keeping warm in the blizzard may require some skin to skin heat. You know. Just to keep warm and pass the time.

A romance that will warm your heart. Becca is cheerful and helpful and driven to help people. Even though Harrison disappeared and disappointed her, she’s willing to be friendly and helpful to him. Maybe that means she needs to teach him a few things. And she does end up helping him see his current coaching method isn’t bringing his team together with any goal beyond winning. Her acceptance of his silence also makes him step up and do a better job of expressing his thoughts. I loved how she brought out his words.
It’s also a romance that is very hot and steamy. Sexy times three.
His sister and her family were bonus “aww” moments.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley and the publisher.

If you are looking for a spicy, forced proximity, grumpy meets sunshine, Hallmark winter romance. This is the book for you. I liked the book but I didn't connect with the characters. Especially the weather inaccuracies. Like negative sixty degrees or wind gusts of 40 mph breaking houses.

This book was positively adorable. The characters were quirky and awkward in all the best ways, the forced proximity trope was great, especially given their past and I really loved the found family-esque vibe to be heartwarming and beautiful.

Becca was such a dork and I absolutely loved this about her. I think I felt so many parallels to how I often feel as a nervous rambler and someone who isn't always very secure with herself... I loved watching her find someone who really celebrated her oddities, not just dealt with them.

It was a bit angsty with the push and pull and uncertainty of their relationship on both sides, especially when the miscommunication came into play... But I still found so much enjoyment reading this cozy Christmas story. I love Jacqueline's writing so much and I can't wait for what's next.

This was a cute second chance romance! I loved the idea of the blizzard and being snowed in, adding the much beloved forced proximity trope.
Becca was so much fun. She reminds me of Jess from New Girl. She definitely dances to the beat of her own drum. Plus the grumpy Harrison who slowly melts his icy heart for her. #+ Swoon
So this is labeled as a "Christmas" romance...but I think it's really more of a Winter romance. They do spend Christmas together but I feel like it's not a major plot point.
Also, if you're looking for a Hallmark movie "sweet vibe" this one isn't for you. It does have spice in it! By the fireplace, nonetheless
