So I drug my feet starting this book because I am very much in the Halloween spirit and not quite ready for Christmas vibes yet but once I sat down to start it, I flew through it in two sittings! This is definitely one you should add to your December tbr if you enjoy:
❄️ Enemies to lovers
❄️ Grumpy x sunshine vibes
❄️ Second Chance Romance
❄️ Forced proximity
This book was very sweet and had some well written spice! I really enjoyed the banter and how easy of a read this romcom was! My only complaint was how over the top quirky our FMC was. It felt a little like Jess from New Girl and that stereotype really drives me crazy.
Other than that this was a fun snowed in romance with low stakes and good development! A great first Christmas read of the season!

Thank you NetGalley for granting me access to a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. It was sweet and gave me the nostalgia for Christmas that I crave as soon as October hits. The last three months of the year are so much better when you're dreaming about Christmas trees. I feel like I do that all year, and here's the proof.
Christmas movies have always been such a weakness of mine. I'll watch them anywhere, anytime, no matter what the world looks like outside. I've lost a bit of that as I've gotten older, found it more difficult to stay in the magic of the holiday, so picking up Christmas stories has become a hobby of mine as well. When I got accepted for this arc, I was overjoyed. Mostly because I hadn't found the right one yet.
In this one, I absolutely did. It's light hearted and steamy... even if it's getting colder outside with every passing day (thank goodness). There's forced proximity, a very cold world outside, and a misunderstanding that changes a life that could have started two years ago. It's sweet, it's funny, it's absolutely everything I wanted.
I think what I liked best is that just because Becca is a stereotypical happy-go-lucky girl, it didn't mean she couldn't be a smart, capable, woman as well. It made me think of my favorite person in the world, and best friend. It's always so lucky when you find a friend in a book.
I can't wait for you all to read this!
The absolute knockout for this book was the spice. It was probably Jaqueline’s steamiest book and the spice was done incredibly well! This book was fast-paced and an enjoyable holiday story.
Becca is a sorority house mom who’s in the house alone before heading off for her holiday plans. Harrison is the college football coach who’s not preparing for a playoff game so he’s home for the first time in a few years. When the blizzard of the century comes through, Becca and Harrison are forced to stay together— and confront the fact that he ghosted her after their date.
I struggled a bit with liking the main characters. I did NOT hate them but even by the end I didn’t find myself attached to either of them. I also struggled with the chemistry. It felt forced at times, and unnatural.
I also wish there was a bit more holiday. It’s a winter story that takes place right before Christmas, but I think they could’ve done some makeshift holiday celebrating during the blizzard that could’ve established chemistry.
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Becca and Harrison are pure sunshine x pure grump, however, Harrison is also a cinnamon roll under his grumpy layers. I loved every minute that I spent reading their story.
This is their second chance romance that is brought on by a freak blizzard int he Midwest that has them blizzard buddies - finding ways to keep warm when they are bunked at Harrison’s house & without power.
I loved that both characters were complex and working through their own personal issues and growth - but also supporting the other on their growth.
I wasn’t happy about the miscommunication that was thrown in but I really appreciated how it was handled and the certain things that came into consideration that caused the miscommunication. It didn’t feel like miscommunication from the characters but outside sources that led to it.
Overall, I really liked this book and I would definitely add it to my recommend list for those that are looking for cozy winter books - even with Christmas in the title, it didn’t feel Christmas centric, but more so happened at that time of the year.
Thank you to NetGalley & Forever for the E-ARC and thank you to Forever for the finished copy in exchange for my honest review.
A really fun, quick read! It’s more “forced proximity because of a blizzard” than straight up Christmas novel, but there’s enough Christmassy details to tie in the holiday. Harrison and Becca are the quintessential opposites attract, and it was fun watching this stoic, grumpy man fall for human sunshine.
A major plot point is that they went on a date two years earlier and he ghosted her when he said he would call. I understood his hesitance to be in a relationship (the MMC who’s not looking for commitment right now is a trope for a reason!) but their history just nagged at me. The scene where he finally explains and she gets over it felt too easy? That’s two years of resentment, and I guess I thought he should have to try a little harder to win her over
This book was incredibly atmospheric. It was sunny and 75 as I was reading but I kept looking outside expecting to see a blizzard in full swing. I found the story and couple to have a cozy and sweet arc. The miscommunication trope lingered throughout which is not my favorite. However, this book is completely swoon worthy and a lovely lighthearted Christmas read. I recommend you make a cup of hot cocoa and turn on the fire for this read.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy. I hate to give bad reviews, but this book was very much not good. It is billed as a Christmas romance, but there were almost zero holiday scenes. The main characters were both annoying and the dialogue was equal parts cheesy and painful. I can’t recommend this to anyone.
Snowed In for Christmas by Jaqueline Snowe is such a fun and fantastic holiday romance.
I love forced proximity trope with grumpy/sunshine love interests.
This steamy romance hit all the right notes for me.
I love a good stuck in a blizzard with no power trope (okay maybe not a trope but should be)!
Becca is sunshine and Harrison is the definite grumpy football coach who lives next door.
Becca ends up under his roof during the storm. I think this is really a second chance romance as the two had a perfect date two years ago before he ghosted her.
Becca is a sorority house mother and I loved this and how much she loved her girls.
I loved the chemistry. This was such a fun holiday romance that I really enjoyed.
Getting snowed in with a guy who ghosted you two years ago?? What a fun plot! We have dual POVs from our quirky and unapologetic MFC and the grumpy and quiet MMC which I think was extremely important to how we felt about the characters. I personally loved that the plot was happening during the holidays but was a subplot in comparison to the blizzard and trying to survive the intense conditions! Also, the "blizzard buddy" component is equivalent to friends with benefits, which makes it easy to understand our character's misunderstanding that feelings could be at play too. With that, the spice was phenomenal (I was hoping for it and was thrilled with it). Lastly, our main character's devotion to their careers and the college students they support was very heart warming. My only complaint would be the insta-love that happened at the end. The reasoning made sense but it just not my favorite. The epilogue was very sweet though! Overall, I'm giving this book 4 stars and will be recommending for the holiday season!
Snowed in for Christmas sounded like just the book I was looking for to give me holiday vibes and great characters but sadly for me it did not have anything that would make me want to read this book again. I did not feel any connection between Becca and Harrison at all. I would read for awhile then go back to the book hoping the chemistry was finally there for me between them. This was the dullest holiday romance book I have read in long time.
Thank you NetGalley, Jaqueline Snowe and Forever for the ARC of Snowed In for Christmas. This is my personal review
Thank you to Forever Paperback & NetGalley for an ARC of this book, in exchange for my honest opinion.
A story about the college Football coach, and a Sorority House Mom… say no more because I am invested!!!
I loved this story so much!! This was one of the best Grump next door meets Sunshine tropes I’ve ever read. And the spice was soooo good, with a perfect epilogue!
Harrison and Becca had a date two years ago, and shared an amazing kiss, but that was it. Because afterwards as Becca looked forward to hearing back from Harrison, he just ghosted her. And it definitely didn’t help that the football coach lived right next door to the Sorority House Becca lived in.
But when a massive and dangerous blizzard blows in during Winter break, the two end up hunkering down together. Rather than stay alone in the sorority house without power or fire, Becca stays next door with Harrison. It would be putting it lightly to say that sparks were flying in both the bedroom, and the fireplace. Becca and Harrison spend several blissful days together during the blizzard, but when the roads clear, the snow stops, and the power comes back on what will happen between them? Will Harrison ghost her again? Or was this simply a convenient hookup to pass the time during the blizzard?
Wow, this was like walking in a modern day Hallmark movie! I loved that the story was set up on a college campus, but Maggie and Becca weren't students but "faculty" almost. This was second chance romance with a forced proximity due to a winter blizzard. This was such a fun and heartwarming novel. I loved that Harrison accepted Becca and her full personality.
Becca is the sorority house mother. For those unfamiliar, she is the "adult" of the house making sure the girls in the sorority are following the rules and keeping the house in tip top shape. Her grumpy neighbor next door is the university's head football coach, Harrison. Becca and Harrison have had chemistry from day one, but after one date and one passionate kiss - Harrison ghosted her and avoided her at all cost. Mind you, they're neighbors, so that's a little bit to accomplish.
When the power goes out due to a blizzard and the two join forces to survive the power outage and winter weather, they become Blizzard Buddies and release all the tension that has built up between them in the last few years. As the storm rages on, feelings begin. to grow. Will Harrison and Becca admit that they may be more than Blizzard Buddies when the snow settles.
Jaqueline Snowe's Snowed In for Christmas is forced proximity, grumpy/sunshine lovliness mixed with holiday vibes at its finest! Becca, a unique sorority mom, was ghosted two years ago by Harrison, the hot football coach who happens to be her neighbor, after a fantastic date and steamy kiss. She's avoided him since. When a blizzard rolls into town during Christmas break she finds herself alone in the big sorority house until Harrison comes knocking on her door, insisting they face the blizzard together at his house. Not only does she find herself very near him at his house, but there is definitely cuddling involved to stay warm (because surival is priority, right?!). This is all the perfect formula for an adorably sizzling Christmas romance. If you're a fan of Christmas reads, make sure to check this one out this Christmas season!
Thank you to Jaqueline Snow, Forever, and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.
A very cute Holiday romance. Is like a hallmark forced proximity. Neighbors who went on a date once, he ghosted her and they are forced to share space because of a snow storm.
Harrison had like a lot of familial issues and that's the reason he ghosted her. I don't think I will reread this book but it did give me the christmas vibes I needed. '
Thank you NetGalley for the e-arc version of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thank you Netgalley and Forever Publishing for this ARC. This book was so cute! Becca is a sorority mom who lives next door to Harrison, a football coach. They went on a date two years ago but Harrison never called Becca back. Becca was upset and heartbroken because she thought it was great date. Fast forward to two years later, there is a huge blizzard during Christmas break where the power goes out and Becca is forced to stay with Harrison until the power is restored. They spend their Christmas break together, reconnecting and discussing what happened two years ago during their date. Overall, this was a cute and fast paced romance and I would definitely recommend!

Well, I thought I would enjoy this novel. But unfortunately it turned out to be a disappointment. The narrative simply did not resonate with me. And it's probably due to the writing style which came across like a "cheesy" soap opera.
I didn't particularly care for the characters, Harrison and Becca. They both didn't appear to be fully developed. And Becca's personality started to annoy me with her child-like behavior.
The plot follows a second chance romance with a touch of enemies to lovers trope. Not much happens except the two-step as Harrison and Becca dance around the awkwardness of their situation. And at 34%, I just didn't have it in me to forge on. An unfortunate one star DNF.
I received a DRC from Forever (GCP) through NetGalley. The review herein is completely my own and contains my honest thoughts and opinions.
Snowed In for Christmas was the perfect book to start getting into the Christmas spirit. (I start early, SUE ME!) I loved how Becca and Harrison got a second chance at love from Snowmageddon hitting and having to stick together to brave the storm. I loved the communication they had throughout the book especially after Harrison ghosted her two years ago and how he changed a lot since then.
Also, the steamy scenes were amazing and actually dealt a lot with consent, which I LOVE! Of course, I also loved how Snowe included Harrison’s football team and Becca’s sorority girls into the book and how having them in their lives effected their relationship and that they both accepted that. It definitely had some found family vibes! I highly recommend getting this book when it come out OCTOBER 3!
A cute story.
Becca is a little flighty and eccentric and Harrison is the brawny football guy. Do they have anything in common?
A horrible snow storm forces them to be creative and they begin listening to what was there all along.
It’s cheesy, cutesy, and utterly charming.
3.5 STARS
In this delightful holiday read, a cheerful sorority house mom and a grumpy college football coach are unexpectedly thrown together during the festive season due to a campus power outage caused by a snowstorm. The twist? They went on a single date a few years ago and have barely exchanged words since.
This book is an absolute gem for the holiday season. It's incredibly binge-worthy (I devoured it in just a few hours), filled with light-heartedness, and brimming with Christmas cheer. While the romance may develop quickly, the two main characters share a fantastic chemistry and banter that makes their relationship genuinely believable. As someone who cherished their sorority house mom, I easily connected with Becca and appreciated her quirky personality. If you're a fan of holiday romances, this one is a must-read.

Picked this one up on a whim and IT WAS GREAT! Grump and Sunshine plus forced proximity? Perfect.
The book was super cute and an easy fast paced read. The characters were so sweet (just like the hot chocolate that was consistently mentioned) and they paired so nicely together. I was happy that it wasn't enemies to lovers and that the two got along pretty quickly. Their quick interest in each other made me more excited about the story.
I loved that it felt christmas-y and nostalgic while still having a bit of spice. It wasn't too saccharine that I couldn't finish, it felt like a warm hug. Highly recommend
