This was a cute and spicy holiday romance. When I read that this was a grumpy sunshine story I had to read it! I flew through this book in less than a day! Becca is all rainbows and roses and Harrison is a grump that ghosted her after a perfect date two years ago. After a freak snow storm hits they are forced to house together. Nothing like a little forced proximity and a fling to make these two realize they are perfect for each other. I really enjoyed this book and the relationship that Becca and Harrison had. It was funny, sweet, and heartwarming. I’m looking forward to reading more by this author!

Rounded up from 4.5
Becca is quirky sorority mom who loves her job. When she tries to repair a broken window at the start of the Holiday break, she gets unexpected help from Harrison, the football team coach. But a blizzard is coming, and she may need more help than just for fixing a window...
This grumpy sunshine, forced proximity, romance is totally Hallmark Christmas movie worthy! You'd have to cut out the "blizzard buddy" spicy scenes, but still. I was gobbling it up and loving it so much... until the third act break up, which was based on such a stupid misunderstanding. And I get that Harrison had other things on his mind, but it took him a while to realize Becca was gone for a guy who was so completely head over heels for her, and he didn't even realize it on his own. That was dicey at best. And then it takes him forever to even start trying to patch things up. Anyway, Becca was an amazing character, so bubbly and clumsy and awkward and I recognize so much of myself in her. And I loved how Harrison admired that. If your looking for a fun and spicy holiday read, I highly recommend that one.
I received an advance review copy of this book for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I really enjoyed this one - Snowed In for Christmas tells you right in the title two of the main themes… that it takes place over Christmas, and that the couple gets snowed in together. Hard to go wrong with that, and it’s a solid 4-star working of this plot.

Jaqueline Snowe has also thrown in that they are neighbors and coworkers - at the same college, Harrison is a football coach and Becca is a sorority house Mom. They previously had one disastrous date and he’s barely acknowledged her since - and now the storm knocked out the power so they’re forced to shack up and even snuggle to stay safe and warm throughout the storm.

It’s a very sweet, quick and definitely enjoyable read - a definite recommendation for those looking for a good time with a fairly predictable ending but looking for something without angst or drama or emotional baggage to get there. I can certainly say this will be a great Christmas read for this year!

I received an advance copy from NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing), and this is my honest feedback.

I love a good grump/sunshine trope and this one did not disappoint! Such a cute, fun holiday read! The ending was absolutely the best! I hope the author continues the story with a sequel.

Snowed in for Christmas was my first experience reading a book by Jaqueline Snowe and I loved it! Becca is a sorority mom and takes her job seriously. Her neighbor next door is the grumpy football coach who she shared one smoking kiss with two years ago before he ghosted her and never called again. As the Christmas Break starts, Becca finds herself in the sorority house alone with no heat or power from a blizzard. Harrison can't stand to think that she might be there by herself and invites her to ride out the blizzard with him. They try so hard to keep their distance and not discuss what happened after the date two years ago. Maybe they can just be blizzard buddies instead and go their separate ways after?

Becca is quirky and oftentimes told that she's too much. Her parents are constantly trying to set her up with men who either friend zone her or find her annoying. Harrison is married to his work and has a failed marriage to prove it. He has really difficult dynamics with his parents and younger brother. He really liked Becca two years ago during their date was afraid that he wasn't in a place to have a relationship with someone like her. From then on, he tried to avoid her. I love forced proximity books and this one was so cute! It wasn't super heavy on the Christmas theme which I appreciate. I enjoyed getting to see another side of Harrison at his sister's house. His sister making them stay in separate bedrooms had me laughing so hard. I look forward to reading more books from Snowe. It was a super quick read that had a funny but deep storyline without being overly heavy.

Tropes included: not like other girls, forced proximity, grumpy sunshine, sports adjacent romance, only one bed, let's huddle together for warmth, second chance, nursing back to health, strained family relationships, blizzard buddies, let's just bang it out of our system, snowed in, he falls first, holiday romance, quirky "too much" heroine

Thanks so much to NetGalley, Jaqueline Snowe, Forever Grand Central Publishing for this eARC. All opinions expressed are my own. #netgalley #jaquelinesnowe #forevergrandcentralpublishing #SnowedInForChristmas

This was like a spicy Hallmark Christmas movie. I enjoyed the grumpy/sunshine dynamic. I enjoyed the plot and mostly enjoyed the characters. The first 30% was pretty repetitive- the failed date and the “I’m quirky” FMC story line. Luckily after that it picked up and was a fun read. I appreciated the character growth, especially the MMC.

I read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I found this book hard to rate. Whilst I liked Becca, I wasn't sure about Harrison. I also found the timeline a bit too long. Two years is a long time to not discuss the date, especially after kissing. How long had he been divorced as well, as he still focused on that too? I felt maybe he spent too much time analysing his issues instead of working through them.
The bedroom scenes had chemistry though, so I can see how they eventually fell for each other.
3.5 stars

Thank you @readforeverpub for a copy of this fun forced proximity story. Becca is a sorority mom and is snowed in during holiday break and is forced to stay with Harrison, the hot football coach. They had 1 date awhile back and it never went anywhere. This story went from 0-60 real quick with the snow storm. There was some fun parts with their interaction but their love story felt rushed.

For those seeking a steamy holiday romance, this book might be a perfect choice. Becca's bubbly and colorful personality shines through, and her role as a sorority house mother adds a sweet touch to the story. The 'blizzard-buddy' fling between Becca and Harrison is passionate and filled with explicit details. Despite some initial reservations, the characters find themselves in a steamy and lighthearted romance.

A big thank you to Netgalley and Jaqueline Snowe for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

If you’re looking for a hallmark with spice Christmas book, I recommend reading. It was very fast paced and easy to read. The story follows 2 neighbors stuck together from a terrible snow storm during Christmas. Harrison the grumpy football coach has offered refuge to frat house mom Becca. Forced proximity, lots of tension, grumpy vs sunshine. Thank you to Net Galley for an early digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

To all the spicy lovers out there, this cute romcom is for you!

This was such a cute holiday romcom! Becca’s character was adorable and Harrison sounded like a burly bear.

I loved the banter between the MCs, Becca’s random facts she shared, and that this book touched upon the subject of toxic family.
The dual POV really helped the reader understand what was holding each character back, what stopped them from saying how they felt/what was on their mind.

And coming from someone who almost exclusively reads books about dead bodies and things that go bump in the night, the steamy scenes had me clutching my pearls! Oh my, Harrison!

My best guess at the tropes:
Grumpy/sunshine
Opposites attract
Forced proximity
One bed
Second chance - maybe? Not sure if this would qualify based upon google’s definition of the trope lol

DNF. I really liked the premise but the writing did not work for me at all. It wouldn't be fair to the book if I finished reading and gave it a low rating.

Snowed in for Christmas follows Becca as she prepares to shelter-in-place for a record breaking blizzard. Becca is fiercely independent as a Sorority House Mom, but when a window at the house breaks hours before the blizzard is set to start even she can’t refuse the help of her handsome neighbour, Harrison. The only problem is that Becca and Harrison went on a date 2 years prior and Harrison ghosted her.

Becca tells readers that throughout the past 2 years she has been on countless dates where she has been described as too quirky, too much, and straight up annoying. It’s hard to disagree with those assessments. Becca was difficult to like since she was annoying with all her nervous ramblings and difficult to take seriously because of her job. If Snowe wanted to show a different side of a Sorority House Mom she shouldn’t have gave Becca stereotypical personality traits then do nothing to subvert them.

Harrison is a bland love interest. He’s grumpy and stoic, which gives him almost no personality throughout the book.

The romance between Becca and Harrison felt forced and, at times, awkward. They were supposed to have some residual chemistry from their date 2 years prior, but Snowe spent her time telling readers about their chemistry rather than showing readers through a flashback. The spice is fire hot, but, like mentioned previously, felt forced.
I would hardly classify Snowed in for Christmas a Christmas novel despite the name. There were only a couple chapters that actually dealt with Christmas and those lacked the Christmas cheer I was looking for.

Overall, Snowed in for Christmas had an interesting premise, but the annoying characters and lack of Christmas cheer made the novel difficult to enjoy for what it was.

Perfect for if you want to curl up with a warm drink and dream about the holidays. Becca and Harrison are forced to spend time together when a Xmas blizzard hits.
A bit heavy on inner dialogue and slowly paced, but a good holiday romance,

I really liked the premise of this book - a man and woman who have a past (he had ghosted her after a first date two years ago) are snowed in together during a blizzard. Sets the scene for a perfect second-chance romance.

The romance between the two main characters, and the characters themselves, fell a little flat for me. There was a lack of real depth to the characters, and I didn't buy their chemistry. This one just wasn't for me.

3.5 rounded down. Really cute story overall. Loved the premise. Kept thinking there was no way it was written by someone that actually lived somewhere cold and with snow. Got to the acknowledgements and saw she lives in Arizona. Several things not realistic. Also thought too many family drama issues with both characters, and thought the coach and team leadership storyline was a little too after school special. But overall enjoyable and cute.

This book was the sweetest most fast paced book I could’ve hoped to read. I love a good grumpy/sunshine book and this one was no letdown. Harrison’s character was grumpy but he wasn’t an asshole. I fell in love with Becca’s happy go lucky personality and it reminded me so much of my own, especially with the books and knitting. Harrison and Becca’s story was adorable, I could really feel the genuine love between these two and their character development was so well done. I loved the protective nature they had for one another. This is the perfect book for the holiday season. It is extremely bingeable, lighthearted, spicy and full of Christmas antics!
