The perfect spicy Christmas in July read. The storyline was somehow both light and cute with some spicy and deep topics mixed in. I really loved Becca's character. She was kind, sweet, quirky, and 100% herself. The self-doubt and worry abut how others viewed her really hit home. It made my heart so happy to read about her happy ending with Harrison.
I recommend this book if you love grumpy vs. sunshine and a cute, spicy romance.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!
After a fantastic date between a Sorority mom and her neighbor, the college football coach, he ghosts her for two years but now with a snow blizzard happening and they're both forced to share a home... they'll have to face the feelings between them and what could have been and what could still be. Becca Fairfield is a sorority mom, she loves helping the girls and looking after them. She's considered too blond, too quirky, too much and after bad date after bad date, she's just had enough. It doesn't help that she went out with her very handsome but grumpy neighbor who just happens to be the college football coach, Harrison Cooper and after what she thought was a great date ended with him ghosting her. It's been two years and they are both still barely talking to each other, yet when the snowstorm hits and Becca's sorority house is damaged, she is forced to stay with Harrison until the power comes back and the snow storm calms down. Yet staying with the very same guy who made you doubt yourself is bound to be a not great time. Harrison regrets not calling Becca despite telling her he would two years ago. He's a divorced failing football coach who's team is losing and he might be out of a job soon. He's grumpy, cranky, and has a hard time communicating with people. Yet the more time he spends with the gorgeous blonde who tempts him during this snowstorm the more he wants to actually make it work with her. Can these two polar opposites give love a second chance? This was an okay second chance romance filled with misunderstandings, and if that's your favorite tropes then I definitely think this is the holiday romance book for you!
*Thanks Netgalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing), Forever for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*
I loved this book. The characters were wonderful. Harrison was kinda quiet and spent a lot of time alone after his divorce with his wife.
Becca was a trip. She wears colorful outfits and has a bubbly personality. It was a fun book to read and I think you will enjoy it as much as I did.
What do you get when you cross a bubbly unloving headstrong woman and a brooding man at Christmas. This book that is what you get!
Talk about opposites attract. This book incorporates that to a t add in a little bit of force proximity and you have yourself a beautiful Christmas time story.
And to top it all off, you also get true deep connection between the two characters as well as some truly emotional family relationships.
Becca is an incredibly strong-willed individual, but at the same time she does know when to ask for help and I loved that. Then you have Harrison who has his own set of issues. One of them being trust issues.
More time these two spend together the more they truly see each other for who they are.
There was a little bit of a miscommunication issue that I wasn't the biggest fan of, but the ending is super cute. I can almost forget it.
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever publishing for an arc in exchange for an honest review.
This was such a fun and steamy Christmas romance with forced proximity, second chance, and grumpy x sunshine tropes!
Harrison is a college football coach and went on a date with his neighbor Becca (sorority house mom) 2 years ago. He never called her but not because he didn’t like her! Now, they’re stuck without power and the snow storm has them unable to leave their homes. Harrison offers to have Becca stay with him and they become snowmagedden buddies/friends with benefits. The steam was good and I loved how grumpy Harrison was!
I wish he hadn’t ghosted her 2 years prior and that miscommunication wasn’t an issue! But overall this was a great holiday romance!
Snowed in for Christmas was exactly what I expected. It’s a super cheesy love story with all the warmth of Christmas time. I read it all in less than 24 hours because it’s a sweet, easy-to-read page-turner of a book, This is the kind of book that makes you happy, but it sure is predictable! Thank you NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this cute book.
Becca and Harrison are the perfect sunshine and grump. She’s a chaos demon of energy and enthusiasm who loves her job caring for the sorority girls of Beta House. Harrison takes everything seriously including his job as the university’s football coach. She can’t stop sharing and talking while he has trouble expressing his feelings and often can’t find the words.
Watching them read and misread each other’s actions while trying so hard to fight the growing attraction between them was adorable.
I loved watching them go from dislike and distrust to admiring, supporting, and standing up for each other.

This grumpy, sunshine, forced close proximity, second chance romance was cute.
Becca is quirky, caring, and sweet. She's a great character that you can relate to. Harrison is her hot grumpy neighbor. Their relationship is entertaining, cute, steamy, and funny!
A huge blizzard hits! Becca finds herself without power, heat, or enough fire wood to keep herself warm. Harrison comes to the rescue and tens to "ALL" her needs!! While trapped together in Harrison’s home during the storm, they are forced to address the awkwardness caused by Harrison ghosting Becca two years prior to. Their second chance becomes real as they have to deal with their past.
This was a fun read.
This is a fun holiday read! The characters have great chemistry and the story is warm and the backdrop of a winter wonderland is magical ❄️
This was such a fun, holiday read! I know snowed-in is a big Christmas/holiday trope, and this was my first time reading one. Now I want ten more to stock up on before December hits. I think fans of Tessa Bailey will eat this book up, especially given the spice level of this book!
I adored the dynamic between Becca and Harrison. Grumpy-sunshine is a trope that always hits for me, and this was no exception. They both have their own insecurities that hold them back. Becca has been told over and over by the men she dates that she's "too much", while Harrison is reeling from a losing season and worried about getting fired while constantly being reminded and compared to the success his younger brother by his parents. It was so satisfying to see them knock each other's walls down and open up to each other.
I wasn't expecting this book to be as sexy as it was, and I loved every second of it! Becca and Harrison have such great chemistry together, and I loved how protective he was of her during the storm. Overall, I loved this so much and can't wait to see what Jaqueline Snow comes out with next!
This grumpy/ sunshine , forced proximity, second chance romance was such a fun read!
I loved Becca! She’s quirky, caring, and sweet. Harrison is her sexy grumpy neighbor with a soft cinnamon roll interior! Their relationship is just so fun!
When a huge blizzard hits, and Becca finds herself without power, heat, or enough fire wood, Harrison comes to the rescue. While trapped together in Harrison’s house during the storm, they’re forced to address the awkwardness caused by Harrison ghosting Becca two years prior.
As these blizzard buddies get to know each other sparks fly!
This was a three-star read for me. The majority of the conflict in this story was based on miscommunication and just a complete lack of communication, which is why I didn’t enjoy it as much as I would have liked. Becca is the house mom for a sorority and Harrison is the football coach at the same college. They went on a date two years ago and Harrison said he’d call her but he never did. Now the students have left campus for the Christmas holiday and a blizzard is coming through. They both lose power and Harrison (being a good next-door neighbor) brings Becca to his house to ride out the storm.
If this same story happened with college students, I probably wouldn’t have been annoyed with it, but the heroine was in her late twenties and the hero was in his mid-thirties, so it was frustrating for them to flip flop back and forth in their own heads about how they felt and then just never directly communicate with one another. This was dual POV so you got to see them both do this. Also, the hero explicitly commented multiple times about how bad he was at communicating but then he was suddenly very articulate when it came to seducing Becca. And Becca kept saying how confident she was in quirkiness and she didn’t care what anyone thought about her but then two minutes later she was babbling nervously because she thought she said something wrong and was afraid Harrison thought she was weird.
I really loved the premise and I loved how Becca built Harrison’s confidence up with relating better to his athletes. I also loved the last 10% when he knew for sure what he wanted, but everything else in the story just didn’t work for me. I think it was meant to feel kind of angsty but it just felt immature instead.
Becca is a quirky, sunshiney, sorority mom and Harrison is the grumpy college football coach who lives next door that ghosted her after one date 2 years ago. The pair find themselves stuck together in his house for a few days as a winter storm knocks the power out.
I thought this book was really cute! Becca is totally sunshine personified and the way she brings out the best in Harrison is so cute to read. If you like Christmas books and the grumpy/sunshine trope- Snowed In For Christmas is a must read!
A sunshine sorority house mom and grumpy college football coach find themselves in forced proximity during the holidays when a snowstorm wipes out the power on campus. The catch is they went on one date a couple of years ago and have barely spoken since.
This is the perfect book for the holiday season. It is extremely bingeable (read in a few hours), lighthearted, and full of Christmas antics. While the story is very insta love, the two main characters had wonderful chemistry and banter, making it easy to find their relationship believable. Also, being someone who loved their sorority house mom, I found it easy to connect with Becca and understand her quirky character. This is definitely one to check out if you are a fan of holiday romances.

Overall- cute story. I struggled with some of the house issues during a blizzard (I live in ND with these conditions and have never heard of someone’s window spontaneously bursting) and craved a little more back story about both main characters. I would’ve enjoyed learning more about Harrison’s relationship with his team and his family issues seemed rushed at the end.
When I saw this book on NetGalley, I had to sign up. I was ready for a little Christmas in July. By chance earlier this week, my new Bookstagram friend @booksimperfectcondition invited me to join her Book-It Summer Reading Challenge. For July, we need a holiday book, and this one delivered on both accounts! Snowed In for Christmas by Jaqueline Snowe (could that name be more perfect?) is a perfect holiday read for anytime of year! It stars a grumpy, college football coach and then sorority house mom in a forced proximity, sorta enemies to lovers tale. Becca is our quirky, ray of sunshine. She’s our type of girl- her socks don’t match, she checked out 10 books for Christmas break, AND stored them in her favorite reading spot throughout her house. OUR TYPE OF GIRL! Two years ago, she went on an amazing date with her neighbor, Harrison, who is also the football coach at the same university. He ghosted her, so she has been avoiding him despite living next door. A huge snowstorm hits the campus and knocks out the power, and Harrison comes to the rescue. Together, they navigate the snowpocalypse, complicated family dynamics during the holidays, and the dreaded conversation about the ghosting. The story is cute and cozy and made me miss the holidays (that and the 100 degree weather). Definitely check this one out October 3rd!
Thank you to NetGalley and Jaqueline Snowe for the advanced copy! I couldn’t have enjoyed it more!
Thank you to Forever and Netgalley for graciously providing my complimentary copy of Snowed In For Christmas by Jaqueline Snowe. I'm leaving this review on my own with my own opinions and thoughts.
This was a fun Christmas read. I liked the forced proximity, single-bed, second-chance romance, and grumpy/sunshine tropes that Snowe incorporated.
I just didn't mesh with the MCs and found myself getting a little bored with them, which is why I am not rating it higher. Otherwise, I recommend this one to anyone who love the above tropes listed, and anyone who is looking for a fun Christmas read.
Thanks, Forever!
After sharing an awkward kiss in the past, quirky Becca and grumpy Harrison are thrown together over their holiday break, due to a blizzard and some unfortunate circumstances.
I truly wanted to love this book, I was excited to dive into a Christmassy romance in July. Christmas is my favorite holiday and I will happily indulge in a holiday romance any time of year. Unfortunately, I just didn't love Becca and Harrison as main characters. From the get-go they fell flat for me, even with Becca's character being described as being blond and quirky.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Jaqueline Snowe for the chance to review the eARC! All opinions expressed are voluntary and my own words.
- forced proximity
- second chance love
- grumpy/sunshine
- a holiday romance with lots of snow!
All in one read, all the vibes ! Really enjoyed this romcom and highly recommend
This was such a fun read! I read it while on a beach vacation, and even though it's summertime, it made me long for snowy days filled with hot chocolate and cuddling up by the fire. This story was sexy and funny, and I loved Becca and Harrison.
Becca is a sorority house mom, and she is constantly being set up for dates by her mom. The dates never understand her job, and they think that she is too weird or strange. I loved that Becca didn't change herself for anyone. She was so funny and just herself at all times. When she gets snowed in with her neighbor, the grumpy football coach named Harrison, things start to get steamy for her.
Becca and Harrison went on a date 2 years ago, and they shared an amazing kiss.. but he ghosted her! As Harrison is forced to spend time with Becca, he realizes that he may have made a mistake 2 years ago. Their chemistry was so much fun to read about.
I didn't like the third act breakup, and I didn't like that instalove toward the end of the book. I loved how things developed for them, but it would have been better if it wasn't just an automatic love situation.
Thanks to NetGalley and Forever for an ARC of this book.
I recommend it if you love:
- forced proximity
- second chance love
- grumpy/sunshine
- a holiday romance with lots of snow!
