This definitely isn't a book for my students or young adults, but it is a fun romance if you need a quick read. It wasn't by cup of tea, however, it was well written with a fun story line that would be enjoyed by most. However, Becca's relationship with the her sorority girls is so sweet. That may just be my favorite part of the whole book.

Merry Christmas in July!! This adorable holiday book revolves around Becca, a quirky sorority house mom and the house neighbor, Harrison, coach of the football team. For years they have successfully avoided each other after a one time disastrous date (well Becca didn't think it was disastrous but after Harrison ghosted her, she was very self-conscious around him). When a blizzard, 40 below temps and a power outage hits the town during Christmas break, they have no option but to stay together to share firewood and food to survive.
So grumpy/sunshine (major sunshine and rainbows), forced proximity, second chance and miscommunication are the tropes of this one! And all of this surrounds the Christmas holiday! While I'm not a personal fan of miscommunication it didn't cross the line of being annoying for me.
This is everything I look for in a holiday book! It was a fun and easy read. The dual POV gave great insight to the characters and full of feel good moments despite the trials and heartbreaks throughout.

I'm sorry to say that this book didn't work for me. I never connected to the characters and found it difficult to stay engaged with the story.

I'm very much in the minority so if this book sounds interesting to you please give it a try.

Thank you NetGalley and Grand Central publishing for the opportunity to review Snowed in for Christmas by Jacqueline Snow. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

When Becca, sorority mom of the Betas gets stuck at the sorority house in a blizzard without heat or power, she ends up waiting out the blizzard with her grumpy next-door neighbor, Harrison. Harrison is the Universities football coach and the man who ghosted her two years ago. They decided that they will be blizzard buddies, participating in a Snowpocalypse fling. Will they survive the Snowpocalypse together without each others feelings getting in the way?

This was a perfect Christmas in July book that would obviously be great for the holidays. I loved Becca. She is quirky and says her mind. Her character and the chemistry she had for Harrison truly makes this book a great read. Harrison added another aspect to this book. Not only is Harrison trying to apologize to Becca for ghosting her after their last date, he also is dealing with the possibility of being fired from the team and issues with his family. Overall, if you are looking for a quick, atmospheric read for the holidays, Snowed in for Christmas is the perfect read.

I love reading a Christmas books in the middle of summer! Snowed in for Christmas was super cute with some deeper meanings. As first it seem like Becca was going to be a little much, but I really love the deep dive on her acceptance of herself, but insecurities with the way others view her. Harrison on the other hand was a little harder to warm up to, but that’s kind of the point. Ultimately the two of them bring out the best in each other!

When everything that can go wrong does while bracing for the arrival of a dangerous snow storm, Becca's also forced to deal with her grumpy neighbor Harrison, with whom she has a complicated and unresolved past. Hunkering down together leads to steamy encounters, awkward conversations, and revelations. Emotional immaturity more consistent with twenty-somethings distracts a bot from the overall reading enjoyment.

Absolutely adored this book! I am a Christmas lover and this book did not disappoint. It's definitely a grumpyxsunshine trope. Fun/quick read with dual POVs which is something I really enjoy in books.

I loved the grumpy x sunshine and holiday vibes! Super cozy and romantic! I've never been a fan of forced proximity trope but I think it was done well here. I thought the story was super endearing.

Such a cute, fun read! A snowed-in Christmas (in July for me) romance between grumpy football coach, Harrison, and eccentric sorority mom, Becca. I absolutely loved Becca's character and feel that her weirdness and positive energy made this story that much more enjoyable. Her quirks and rambling outbursts had me smiling and laughing the entire time. I wasn't thrilled with the "lack of communication" resolution, but the ending was adorable. I would love for the author to continue with their story. I would read the next book in a heartbeat!

Big thanks to Read Forever for the ARC of this book! This review is being given honestly and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

CWs: familial issues (parental and sibling), past divorce, mentions of a drunk driving accident with life changing/threatening injuries

Tropes: Only one bed, sunshinexgrumpy, second chance romance, forced proximity, let’s bang it out/it’s just a fling

Jaqueline Snowe has been on my radar for a few years now due to Sil @thebookviyagers and I was edging myself to the max (I own like 3 of her books and haven’t read any of them lol) and finally decided to start with Snowed In for Christmas. This Hallmark-esque romance is coming out in October and the synopsis had me so excited I immediately started the book as soon as it hit my kindle.

Becca is a sorority house mom who has been dealing with date after date but keeps getting a bunch of weenies that never lead to a second date. One of her past dates being with her seriously hot and grumpy neighbor the football coach who ghosted her after what she thought was a great date and promise of a callback. Fast forward a few years and they somehow end up taking shelter during a dangerous snow storm where things start getting a little too cozy.

I really loved this book and can not tell y’all how needed it was after a very horrible/emotional weekend. Becca and Harrison were like the best type of opposites attract, she is a bubbly people person and he is a secret softie grump who may or ot be a negative Nancy. I really liked that even thought this could have been full of a little bit more emotional drama the author decided against it, like there were easily a few times where negative emotions/experiences could have really set their romance back but it did not happen and I am so thankful for that.

This was such a feel good book that was full of the best feels and holiday vibes, definitely best Christmas in July gift!

This was a very quick and fun read and I LOVED getting dual POV for our MCs. Will definitely be breaking open the other Jaqueline Snowe books I own because the writing was great and I can’t wait to dive into her other romances.

Would most definitely recommend this to anyone who loves Hallmark movies, loves only one bed situations, and need a low-angst feel good romance!

This book was so much better than I thought it would be. I immediately pictured myself at my sorority back in college during snow storms at Syracuse as I began to read Snowe's book. The main character is a house mom and her neighbor is a football coach! Read to learn more! I devoured the story and I'm giving it five stars. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

4.5 Stars
Christmas came for me in July when I got the chance to read an ARC of this book. I love Jaqueline Snowe's new adult sports romances, so I was excited to find out what she would do with a football coach. Spoiler: I loved it!

When I first started reading Snowed in for Christmas, I didn't immediately connect with Becca's character. She was quirky in a way that I couldn't decide whether was annoying or not. That being said, she grew on me. Seeing her through Harrison's eyes helped a lot. Becca had a giant heart. Harrison was a bit of a grump. He was in a stage in life where nothing was really going his way. There was a lot of pressure on him, and he didn't handle it well. The way Becca woke him up was special. They were adorable together.

The snowstorm that forced Becca and Harrison together was quite the secondary character. It may have been 80 degrees when I was reading this book, but I could feel the cold! I was surprised by all the different scenarios that came up due to the storm. There were a lot of great sweet and funny moments that went on with them being stuck inside.

Another group of great characters was Harrison's family. I loved his sister and her family. They were so supportive and nice. I hated his brother and parents. The drama in his family was a great addition to the book. I also liked how his players were involved in the story. Becca's parents were nice, but man did her mom need to get a clue. I also liked Becca's sorority "daughters". There were some sweet moments with them.

I said sorority daughters and now I feel like I have to talk about a pet peeve of mine... Nicknames. There were a lot of nicknames in this book. Harrison had two that weren't bad. It was one of the sorority girl's nicknames that didn't make sense to me. Her name was Marissa. She was called Marissa a bunch, but then Becca would shorten her name to "Issa". For some reason, I couldn't stand that. It just didn't feel like a natural nickname for Marissa to me. "Mar" would have felt more natural to say. I know that's a personal thing, but I was annoyed every time I came across it. I didn't take away from my rating for this. It's just something that stuck with me after reading.

Overall, this was a fun holiday read. It left me feeling happy.

This book was just what I needed! It was a breathe of crisp, frosty winter air, mixed with the warm feeling of a first sip of coffee or hot chocolate. While reading it, I was imagining snow falling softly outside, because this is the perfect book to curl to curl up with on a snowy winter night. I was longing for snow and Christmas.

Although I read a variety of different book genres, I am mainly a thriller type girl, or a depressing contemporary novel type girl, so this book was a palette cleanser, and just what I needed. I can’t say it was my favorite book i’ve read all year, but it was fun and cute and I throughly enjoyed reading it. (Even though I read it on a hot summer night instead of a cold winter night. Sigh.)

Snowed in for Christmas is a light, cutesy holiday romance between a grumpy football coach, and a happy-go-lucky sorority mom, who are neighbors that don’t get along at first. Things are awkward between them at the beginning of the novel, because in the past things had gone sour due to him ghosting her after a pretty amazing date. Then a blizzard comes, the power gets cut off at her sorority house, so she has no choice to stay at his house and then…bam! romance is in the air again.

This story was light and cute and easy to get lost in. I finished it in nearly one sitting, and finished it with a smile on my face. My only regret is that I didn’t read it during the holiday season, because that just would have added to the overall mood and atmosphere, and made the reading experience even better.

If you’re into romance books, especially holiday themed ones, then this is the perfect book for you!

While this did feel strange reading in the height of summer - this is the perfect book to curl up with on a stormy winter's night. It is sweet and fun, with great main characters and fantastic love developing between the two of them.
There were moments of laughter, and great tension between our two leads. I found this to be a great read and look forward to coming back to it when the Christmas season approaches!
