I wanted to love this one, because it has a lot of my favorite elements: takes place at Christmas, sunshine and grump, and forced proximity when the couple is snowed in together during a blizzard.
Unfortunately, I don't enjoy insta-love or miscommunication, both of which featured heavily. I also disliked the Becca from the start: maybe it was the narrator, but she seemed way too childish for the steamy scenes. I can enjoy a quirky MC, but her whole personality was that she was soooo weird and different and unloveable. Crocheting isn't that weird, hun.
Maybe I'll come back to it next Christmas--maybe I'll like it better physically reading without the influence of the narrator's performance?
Thank you for the arc. I enjoyed “Snowed in for Christmas.” It was cute funny and a fast read. I’m exited to recommend to friends to read.
I enjoyed this really cute Christmas love story. When I read Christmas books I am looking for something that gets me in the spirit of the season and this completely did that for me. I will say this, the story is a little far fetched that when the snowstorm starts, Harrison invites Becca to stay at his place. With they dynamic and relationship at time, this would not happen in the real world. That being said, this is not the real world, its a book and especially with a holiday romance you just overlook that stuff. I thought the characters were likeable and the pacing was well done.
I liked Snowed in for Christmas.
I liked Becca and Harrison's characters. I don't know why but I didn't like the way their relationship was written. It seemed more forced than it just happened. They both seemed immature when together.
Overall, I liked the storyline and writing style. I just wish Becca and Harrison didn't come across as immature especially with his age.
This gets all the stars. I loved Becca’s character. She reminded me so much of the movie The House Bunny. This was the perfect Christmas read with a steamy romance between the sorority house mom and the grumpy next door neighbour. Snowed in while everyone else is away during the Christmas holidays.
When Becca gets snowed in at the sorority house she manages, Harrison (the next-door neighbor, football coach) rescues her. While being snowed in would be bad enough, Harrison ghosted her after their one and only date.
This one just got on my nerves! Hard pass. I finished it, so it isn’t a one-star. But I really didn’t enjoy it - I would like my audible credit back.
Three and a half stars
SNOWED IN FOR CHRISTMAS by Jaqueline Snowe is a grumpy/sunshine snowed-in romance. Becca Fairfield is a sorority house "mom", known for her quirkiness and fun-loving ways. She takes her role very seriously, and her lighthearted approach to things makes her a favorite of her charges. Next door is Harrison Cooper, football coach, of course known for his self-discipline and organization. They had one date a couple years back after which Harrison blew it and they have been professionally polite.
A snowstorm gives Harrison a chance to take care of Becca, and give them a chance to get to know each other better without the facade they put on for the rest of the world, if they only take it.
Heavy on the miscommunication, a nevertheless entertaining holiday read.
This is a good book. The two main characters are Becca and Harrison. Becca is a sorority counselor in house. Harrison is the football coach who happens to live next door to the sorority. A major storm is fixing to arrive. Becca is trying to get her residents out before the storm hits. She lands up with a broken window and trying to fix it. Harrison comes to the rescue. He gets Becca back to his house and the power is off. They stay in Harrison’s house for days. They start dating and fall in love.

Thank you Forever and Netgalley, for the e-arc!
This is the first time I've heard about 'sorority mom's'. Having gone to university here in Canada, we don't have sorority houses like they do in the States. It was interesting hearing about how Becca took care of the house and the girls living there. Outlining strict guidelines, rules and expectations for them was so important and Becca Fairfield did just that. Having their trust and respect made Becca a loved Sorority Mom.
Feeling all the love from her girls didn't stop Becca from keeping an eye for her very handsome, extremely cranky, moody neighbour and football coach, Harrison Cooper.
Becca and Harrison went out on what she thought was a wonderful date and shared a steamy hot kiss, only to be ghosted by him. 2 years have gone by where she's done everything she could to avoid running into him. Which was challenging as she could see his house from hers.
A few days before Christmas, a wicked storm blew in, knocking out all power in their neighbourhood and even a window in Becca's house.
All the girls have left for the holidays, leaving Becca alone in her home. Harrison, knowing the situation and being the kind neighbour that he is, invited Becca to stay with him until the power comes back on. He has plenty of space and enough cut wood for a warm and cozy fire to last for days.
Thrown in together under the circumstances opened up Becca and Harrison to conversations and creating a connection that neither of them could deny.
This was a wonderful story to read while sitting by a cozy fire with a cup of hot cocoa ;)
Snowed In for Christmas by Jaqueline Snowe is a cute holiday romance. The setting of a sorority house was unique and I liked learning about sorority moms and what they do. I think this would be a good book to pick up and read during the holidays. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.
This is a cute, heartfelt story with likeable characters. It’s character-driven with a leisurely pace.
Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
Thank you, Netgalley, the author, and the publisher for the gifted e-book! ❤️ #gifted. My review is comprised of my honest thoughts.
This was a cute and light holiday read. Some of the dialogue felt a bit on the odd side. Overall, I did like it and do recommend it!
I loved this story line of the sorority mom, so caring and independent, runs into a hot mess of the snowstorm taking out the power. With not many other choices as a big snowstorm will continue to bury them, she has to go next door to Coach Harrison’s house which is full of heat, both kinds!!! After days of hot cocoa, books, chats, and intimacy, these two find each other irresistible!
Snowed in for Christmas was a great book to listen to during my holiday travel. I am a sucker for the snowed in trope and I think this would still be enjoyable during the winter months. This book has dual POV and the voice actors did a great job. The writing style and dialogue weren’t my favorite but I would still recommend checking it out if you need a wintry romance for a snowy day.
SNOWED IN FOR CHRISTMAS is my new favorite Christmas book. I read it three times this Christmas season, and I’m just itching for Christmas in July to reread it, haha. It gave me all the happy feels plus the Christmas spice I needed!
It’s a grumpy/sunshine romcom about a sorority mom, Becca, and football coach, Harrison, who get stuck in a snowpocalypse on campus. Hijinks ensue. And, yes, there is only one bed!
I’m a sorority alumna, so this book just made my heart a little extra warm. Because of how happy this book makes me, Jacqueline Snowe is now an auto-buy author!
Thanks, Forever and Netgalley, for the gifted arc!

I’ve been a fan of Jaqueline Snowe for a few years now, having read and enjoyed her Central State series, so I was excited to be able to read Snowed In For Christmas and dive into her Adult (versus New Adult) stories! Unfortunately, I found that this book did not suit my tastes in the same way as her previous books have.
This book’s characters felt a little surface level and juvenile for me. I wanted more depth out of Becca and Harrison, particularly in a forced-proximity situation like being snowed in which could bring out more of that. Furthermore, the miscommunication trope is not one that typically agrees with me in romantic fiction, so I probably wasn’t the audience that was going to love this book.
That being said, the premise of being snowed in together was enjoyable, and having just gone through a bit of a cold and icy snap here in Illinois, I felt glad this was fiction for me and not reality (no power, super negative temps, windows being blown out, no thank you!). I also thought Becca’s job as a sorority mom was very unique and intriguing and played into her personality very well. Another element I enjoyed was Harrison’s family dynamic between his brother and parents and Blair and her family. It was complicated and brought about his hidden personality in a way that endeared me to Harrison a little by the third act.
Ultimately, if you like the miscommunication trope much more than I do, I’d recommend this as a cute, wintery romance to read by the fire. Thank you to Netgalley, Jaqueline Snowe, and her publisher for a copy of Snowed in for Christmas. I’ll be on the lookout for the author’s next book!
This was one of the most adorable Christmas books of the year! I liked the cover, and the characters and the humor. This is during the winter or anytime really!
This was such a cute and fun read perfect for this time of year also. I read this in a day and really enjoyed it
this one was not for me.
it has a fun premise: a big snow storm with no power, forced proximity and second-chance romance, sounds pretty fun, but for me, i could not relate to any of the characters, and i often found their actions odd and immature, and as for the plot, the book never truly lured me in and the plot fell a little flat.
