Snowed In For Christmas by Jaqueline Snowe is filled with one of my favorite holiday troupes: two characters who are total opposites get snowed in together during the holiday season. It was SO good! From the moment of their first interaction, Becca and Harrison had me hooked and wanting more to develop between them. Luckily for me that is exactly what happened.
Becca and Harrison went on one date two years ago which ended in a steamy kiss and no further communication from Harrison. Since then things have been a little awkward between them when they see each other in passing usually as awkward neighbors. Becca is a sorority house mother meaning that she lives near the college campus being like an older sister/mentor to all the girls who live in the house with her. Harrison is the college football coach and lives right next door to the sorority house. So even though they haven't spoke about their date in two years, these two characters have not had the easiest time avoiding each other.
Every time Becca and Harrison are in each others presence, there are sparks flying between them. I love how unapologetically herself Becca is as a character. She loves books and is filled with the most random of facts which she often blurts out when she is nervous. Meanwhile, Harrison is a prickly character. On the surface he is very abrasive and is used to pushing people away. He doesn't like to get close to others as he has gotten burnt one too many times in the past. Both characters get to learn more about each other as they spend time snowed in together at Harrison's place and quickly learn not everything is exactly as it seems on the surface.
Becca and Harrison's dynamic is filled with banter and chemistry and their connection quickly gets steamy which I loved. Yet there is so much more going on between them than just steam. Spending them together helps each other grow and stand up for themselves. Harrison realizes that it is okay to let others into his life while Becca realizes that there are people out there that will accept her exactly as she is bubbly flaws and all. These characters are so good together! Highly recommend checking out their snowed in journey together!

What an adorable steamy romance perfect for a winter weekend read.
Sorority ”mom” Becca and “grumpy” football coach Harrison next door neighbors. They even dated once upon a time which was disastrous. So things between these two neighbors have been a bit awkward over the past few years but it is the Holidays now. All of the sorority girls have gone home for the holiday break and Becca is going to have a few weeks to herself. That is until the winter storm of the century occurs. The power goes out and Becca has no heat. Luckily for Becca, Harrison comes over to check on her and they end up trekking through the blizzard back to his house where he has firewood and food. Temperature are expected to get way below zero so Becca and Jamison do the best to keep each other warm. Since they end up being in very close quarters for a few days, things start to heat up between them. The attraction becomes impossible to ignore. Will they take it to the next level? Will they survive this unbelievable storm and make it past the holidays or will it just be snowed in romance.
This was a sweet book to read. I laughed and yelled both out frustration at these two emotional dysfunctional characters. This would make perfect Hallmark Holiday Movie minus the spicy scenes for Hallmark.

I appreciate books with leads with interesting jobs & this one delivered on that with the heroine being a house mom for a sorority house.
Snowed In For Christmas is great for fans of…
❄️ Forced Proximity
❄️ Second Chance Romance
❄️ Snowed In Blizzard Romance
I found it interesting that this pair had gone on a great date two years prior that led to nowhere. So, they had a somewhat rocky foundation & terrain to build this forced proximity of a situation on. It is an important reminder to never judge someone based on snap judgements & a simple talk of getting to know one other can make all the difference. Forced proximity is such a fun trope & I love the idea of having a terrifying blizzard to create the circumstances.
If you’re looking for a cute & spicy, wintry romance, Snowed In For Christmas is a lovely recommendation.
Massive thanks to NetGalley & Forever Publishing for the gifted copy, which I voluntarily read & reviewed.
Health problems got me behind on my reviews & I sincerely apologize for the delay. I’m always grateful for a chance to read/review a Forever book.

I honestly feel like I read this book at the wrong time. I was so burnt out by holiday books by the time I got to this one and therefore I felt like I lost interest. This one is tough to review!
As a whole, I would say this is a solid holiday romance. There wasn’t anything too unique to it, but it still had its enjoyable side. The book focuses on two neighbors being trapped together during a big storm, hence the forced proximity.
I also wasn’t expecting this story to be as steamy as it was, which I actually ended up enjoying. There’s a lot of banter between the characters too. The book itself was so quirky and quick!
Again, I got burnt out from reading Christmas books by the time I read this one, so I didn’t get that Christmas feeling I wanted. I also felt like the book was trying too much at the beginning. The chemistry between the characters felt forced at first, it took a while for me to actually care for them.
Overall, I enjoyed the idea behind the book and the forced proximity. The drama was so fun and the ending was swoony! I ended up enjoying the grumpy/sunshine combo with these characters and it was still a fun read, I just read it at the wrong moment.
Thank you so much NetGalley and Forever for the review copy in exchange for my honest review!

I am so sorry but I was not a fan of this one. I love a cheesy Christmas romance, but this was too much for me. There was basically zero character development, the love story happened way too fast, super unnecessary dramatic third act that was so out of pocket, side characters who acted like they were 13, need I say more? I feel like the plot had potential but everything happened way too fast and seemed so unrealistic. Rushed through this one just so I could be done with it.
I found this book to be a cute, quick read! So quick, however, that I couldn’t really feel a connection with either MC. I would have loved to get to know them and their backgrounds just a bit more. The grumpy/sunshine trope is always a favorite of mine and this book definitely nailed it! It also had the perfect amount of spice and their banter made it all the better. I enjoyed this book overall, it just left me wanting more.
A contemporary romance filled with a fun grumpy sunshine trope. A grumpy football coach and a sunshine sorority mom are complete opposites and yet they prove that opposites attract. Becca and Harrison start a spicy romance after they are snowed in together when a blizzard arrives and the power is knocked out. In order to stay warm they must stay together and they truly figure out ways to make their own heat! But will they build on their new relationship when the snow goes away or will they just stay "blizzard buddies" with warm benefits?
This is a cute winter romance filled with EMS communication. Becca is a caring house mom but she is full of insecurities while Harrison keeps his distance from caring relationships due to trust issues. They worked perfectly together and although the storyline is predictable it is written in a realistic and fun way. The chemistry between the characters is undeniable.
This book is a fun way to keep warm on a cold winter night!
I am voluntarily writing this honest review and I am grateful to Forever Publishing and Netgalley for the opportunity to read a complimentary digital copy of this lighthearted and fun book.
I waited to read this one until I was in the "Christmas mood" and was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed this story and Becca and Harrison were great examples of opposites attract.
Thank you to netgalley for a chance to review this book. Snowed in for Christmas is a cute holiday rom com. Grumpy/sunshine second chance tropes are a couple of my favorites. I did feel it gave more of a winter vibe vs Christmas vibe.
Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for the read! This was so sweet with a opposites attract dual POV. It was so cute and fun, with awesome main characters. The storyline of love developing between the two of them was also so cozy. Perfect for a cold day in front of the fire!!
Thank you to the publisher for the gifted e-copy.
Snowed in for Christmas was a great book to speed read in the days between Christmas and New Years. It's light and fluffy, with a decent amount of steam and a grumpy sunshine romance.
Becca is a sorority house mom intent on spending the two weeks of holiday break on her own, snuggled up in the empty sorority house with books and snacks. A huge blizzard ruins her plans when it knocks out the power and she'd probably freeze to death if she stayed in her house. Luckly, her hottie neighbor, Harrison, comes to the rescue and invites her to stay with him until the power comes back on.
Becca and Harrison (of course) have a history together - a date two years ago that Becca thought went really well, but Harrison never called afterwards. She's been holding a grudge ever since, and isn't super excited to spend time with him at his house. The chemistry is still there, and one thing leads to another for a blizzard fling that will surely lead to more.
So...Becca is a fun character - quirky and funny, talks too much when she gets nervous, likes to read and knit...Harrison is a bit of an a*s though. He has some issues with how things went in his first marriage, and also with his parents and brother. I don't ever really feel a connection beyond physical between them. Speaking of that, the sex scenes are a bit cringy in terms of how they're written. It just didn't work for me.
All in all, a decent forced proximity, grumpy sunshine, kind of second chance romance that isn't TOO Christmassy. I'd probably read more from this author!
Thank you, netgalley and Forever publishers, for sending this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Sorority mom Becca is staying in the sorority house during winter break when a giant blizzard that she wasn't prepared for came. Her neighbor Harrison, who she went on a date with a few years prior invites her to stay with him in his house because he was prepared for the storm. They both feel a little awkward because Harrison ghosted her after their date, but they both still feel attracted to each other, and they decide to be blizzard buddies with benefits.
I loved Becca. She was super funny and likable. Harrison was ok. He didn't feel as fully formed as Becca did, in my opinion. The spice in the book was great. I also didn't really like the parts with the football team. It felt disjointed. Overall, I liked this Christmas book and would suggest it to fans of second chance romance and forced proximity tropes.
Both characters were annoying and flat and the set up of a blizzard forcing them to cohabitate sounded more uncomfortable and awkward than sexy and steamy like this book would have you believe. But perhaps that is on me for thinking sub-zero temperatures in a house with no power is NOT the perfect set-up for having sex with one's neighbor.
This was a very fun winter festivity reads. I really love the cover art and really enjoyed the writing style. Definitely will be recommending this one!
Becca is a sorority house mom who is looking forward to the quiet holidays in the house alone. But when the power goes out and breaks a window, making the house uninhabitable, she has to ask her grump neighbor Harrison for help. He’s the football coach who also ghosted her after a steamy kiss, but he is the only person who can help. He offers to let her stay in his house as long as the storm is going and until she gets her house in tiptop shape again.
They decide since they are all alone together to be “blizzard buddies” who just hook up for the storm. But that spark was definitely still there. They also talk about their lives and their family relationships and they have so much in common. I couldn’t believe Harrison’s family and I would never have been able to hold back if someone spoke to someone I loved like his parents did. I was heartbroken for Harrison.
I loved this book! I wasn’t quite prepared for how steamy it was going to be! But Becca and Harrison had such good chemistry. I think the break after the steamy smooch just made them realize they did have something good. I loved the Grumpy Sunshine trope and of course only one bed. Both cared for their players/members so much.
Grumpy x Sunshine continues to reign supreme when it comes to romance tropes. Snowed In For Christmas follows the story of Becca and Harrison, neighbors with two wildly different personalities, and their time together when their town is hit with a blizzard right before Christmas. I absolutely loved watching the characters realize that they were developing feelings for the other, but did not enjoy the miscommunication they had throughout the book.
Unfortunately, not my favorite Christmas read. It was cute if you aren’t expecting much but the plot and the writing just did not work for me. The thoughts and dialog of the characters were just too much for me. Too cringy, too sing song. I’m sorry, this just didn’t work.
Becca is a sorority house mom who lives next door to the grumpy football coach, Harrison, who ghosted her after they went on a single date two years ago. During winter break, Becca is alone in the house when a huge blizzard wipes out her power. Becca is highly unprepared for the winter weather, so she is relieved when Harrison invites her to stay at his house until the power is restored. Sparks fly when the two are forced to finally confront their past and wait out the winter weather together.
Overall, this was a cute and cozy holiday read. I really liked the use of the forced proximity trope and that Becca was a uniquely relatable and imperfect FMC, which is often difficult to find in romance novels. This novel started out strong for me, but I quickly got frustrated with the recurring miscommunication leading to lots of conflict between the characters. Overall, this was a quick winter read that would be great for anyone looking for a spicy holiday story!
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!
I really enjoyed this! It's a fun concept -- two neighbors stranded during a winter storm and power outage help each other get through a tough few days -- but more than that, I loved the characters.
It's worth saying that as a Texan who lived through the deadly 2021 winter storm, this might be a triggering read for those who also went through that, so proceed with caution!
Oh this was a fun one. I happened to read it at Christmas time, and while traveling to see family in Illinois, so it really helped it feel on theme! Becca and Harrison are neighbors who get snowed in together during a terrible blizzard. You need to suspend disbelief a little bit about the level of cold and how quickly the insides of the houses cooled off…but I just absolutely loved these characters, and seeing how things played out between them. Becca was my spirit sister with her “weird” colorful life that I absolutely related to so so much. Just a super fun holiday romance!
