This is a delightful holiday romance! Becca is a fun ball of energy and Harrison is a protective grump. I love that they're neighbors but not in the traditional way since Becca lives in a house full of college sorority girls as their house mom while Harrison lives next door in his own home as the football coach. While it's not a college romance since they're both well out of school, it still gives college vibes because of their jobs which is fun. It feels like Becca is constantly getting herself in over her head triggering Harrison's need to protect/take care of her which is very cute. This also often leads to him seeing quite a bit more of her than expected at the time, especially considering the awkwardness left over from having had a great date two years before that led nowhere when he never called. They're both a little awkward in such a wholesome way; she's constantly thinking before speaking leading to silly/embarrassing but funny comments that she tries to backtrack only making it worse and he's just clearly not as social or used to such an outgoing chatterbox like Becca but he still validates her and doesn't make her feel like too much. I love that they both have strong opinions about books and I definitely agree more with Becca, wanting to keep my books in perfect condition. Basically they're just a really sweet pair. The steamy scenes are cute and well written and the dialogue is engaging and entertaining making this a really quick read that will leave you with a smile on your face!

You might want to check it out if you like: forced proximity, grumpy x sunshine, only one bed, second chances and snow storms. It's perfect to read right now since Christmas is almost here! If you prefer audio, that's available too with two narrators who do an amazing job! Their voices are so clear and really give the characters personality, bringing their energy to life. I received an advance copy of the ebook which I voluntarily read and am reviewing but I also listened to it on audio at the same time because I just love hearing the characters come to life. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Snowed in For Christmas by Jaqueline Snowe is a a cute contemporary holiday romance.

I listened to the audiobook via my Spotify premium account. We have alternating POVs between our two main characters, as narrated by Hannah Church and Liam Lambert. The production quality on the audiobook was stellar.

Becca is a sorority mom who's been unlucky in love partly because people often tell her she's "too much." I really identified with her, as a fellow knitter, reader, and lover of bright colored clothing. Harrison is the college football coach, a grump who is very socially awkward. When a blizzard hits around Christmas and the area loses power, they shelter together. It's a little awkward though, because two years ago they had a great first date and an amazing kiss but then he ghosted her.

This was a really enjoyable read, and it was exactly what I was in the mood for at the time I picked it up. I basically inhaled it all in one sitting. It really reminded me of Snowpocalypse 2009 where me and several of my college friends hunkered down in my house.

I agree wholeheartedly with Becca's opinion of The Devil in the White City though the book is not stated by name in this novel. It's a great non-fiction read about a serial killer during the Chicago World's Fair, and it reads like it's fiction. I love seeing book shout-outs in other books.

There are a handful of steamy scenes, and I thought they were well written. Harrison is very big on enthusiastic and explicit consent, which I always love to see in romances. There's some dirty talk and "good girl"-ing here, so fans of Tessa Bailey might enjoy this one too.

Tropes in this book include: grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity, tall/smol, miscommunication

This grumpy sunshine stuck in a blizzard at Christmas story was such a fun time. I loved the characters and am not one for miscommunication but I didn’t find it as frustrating because there were so much I loved. Fun holiday read!

Okay, first of all I love this cover. It made me want to request this book. It just looks like a cozy wintery hallmark book. I adored this book and these characters. This was a sweet love story.

So sweet and fun! Becca is quirky and lovable. It was so fun watching Harrison realize how great she is and decent he, himself is. They both have a lot of relationship hang ups from their past, but it’s great to see them work through it and move past it together. A little cheesy now and then, but plenty of good steamy scenes. Loved it!

This was another cute Christmas book! Previously Becca went on one date with her next door neighbour Harrison and then he avoided her. She was disappointed but moved on. As a massive snow storm hits Harrison surprisingly suggests that Becca should stay at his place after the power goes out. With their forced proximity they begin to understand each other and what went wrong after their date. I liked the characters and the story moved along at a good pace. Add this one to your Christmas reading!

Out of the many Christmas romances I’ve picked up this year, this one is at the top! I loved the snowed in forced proximity situation that these two characters face. It was cozy and steamy and just perfect if you are looking for a rom-com during the holiday season!

This snowed in sorority house mom and football coach that are the embodiment of the miscommunication trope was a surprisingly good time. It was spicier than I anticipated with a few detailed open door scenes. I really loved just how much Becca was, she was such a strong character and added a ton of humor to the book. There was definitely a little angst with the 3rd act breakup/miscommunication, but overall this is a pure fun and light holiday read. If you're looking for a quick Christmas read, I definitely recommend this!

It was goofy, cute, and Christmasy, Becca stayed true to who she was and I loved that. Kinda underwhelming to me. Definitely spicy but also very cringy.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a cute read! Unexpectedly super spicy for a holiday book though. It was a fun read but not what I expected.

Thank you netgalley.

This was a cute and steamy holiday read told in dual POV. Sorority mom Becca lives next door to Harrison, the football coach. They had a date 2 years ago, then radio silence.

This was a quick read though the miscommunication was a bit much at times. I really liked Becca's character.

Give this one a read if you like grumpy sunshine, forced proximity, second chance, or a campus setting. Thank you to the publisher for my e-copy of this book.

In this Christmas Themed Rom-Com, quirky, colorful Becca must seek refuge with her grumpy, stoic neighbor Harrison after a blizzard knocks out all of the power in their town and snows them in for the holidays. Harrison and Becca have been longtime neighbors who, after a first date that ended in Harrison ghosting Becca, have not talked or even been friendly since.

Becca is a sorority mom who is dedicated to helping the girls that she lives with and helping them become outstanding community members and Harrison is the coach of the college football team, who has had a rougher season than he would have liked.

After realizing that she can’t stay in the sorority house by herself with no power and no resources, she ends up staying with Harrison. It doesn’t take long for them to come to an unsaid arrangement as “blizzard buddies” for the duration of their time together. But of course they end up getting to know each other and coming to the realization that maybe their arrangement shouldn’t end after the power returns and Becca is safe to come home.

This is a perfectly predictable romantic Christmas novel that does everything it promises to do from the start. Harrison has a slightly traumatic past with his ex wife and family. Becca is “not like other girls” and has trouble connecting to romantic partners. And of course it all works out in the end.

This was just meh! I wasn't really invested in the main characters and couldn't seem to stay focused on the story. That could be a me thing (mood reader and all) or it could be that the story was lacking something that I just can't put my finger on.

If you like spicy, forced proximity, Snowed In romances you might like this one. It just wasn't doing it for me though.

“Becca. Pack a bag and stay with me, at least until the power comes back on.”

Snowed in for Christmas was a low angst story that had Becca and Harrison getting their second chance at romance due to a blizzard. It's holiday break and sorority house mom Becca finds herself not prepared for the blizzard that just hit. When her neighbor, the school's football coach and the man she had an amazing first date with two years ago but then ghosted her, Harrison, offers her to stay at his place when the power goes out, Becca doesn't want to accept but also doesn't want to freeze to death. With this forced proximity, Becca and Harrison find their chemistry reigniting and miscommunications finally getting revealed.

Neighbors for four years, one date, one insane kiss, and maybe ten conversations since that kiss.

This was written in alternating pov chapters from Becca and Harrison, we spend a good amount of time in the characters' heads. Becca has trouble dating because she's so goofy (likes to wear mismatched socks!) and people don't understand her commitment to her role/job as house mom in a sorority. Harrison is worried that he'll be fired after his football team doesn't make a bowl game and can't seem to get his team to bond, he also deals with his parents always making their youngest son, Hank, the golden boy and blaming anything and everything on Harrison and his sister Blair, who he does have a good relationship with. These two have separate issues of their own, and we are told about them a lot throughout the story but I still couldn't help feeling their characterizations were bland.

She was so unpredictable while my life was built around discipline. I had no idea what would come out of her mouth, and I liked it.

Leaning into the bland, I'm going to describe these two as nice together. They're a pretty good opposites attract, Harrison with his quiet stoic personality and Becca with her colorful clothes, bubbly, and spouts random facts when she's nervous, did gel pleasantly together. Becca tries to stay standoffish with Harrison because of how he hurt her when he ghosted her after their date. A little before the midway point, readers learn why Harrison never called Becca back, along the lines of not feeling like he could give her the commitment she deserved, and when the second half starts, the two have succumbed to their attraction and decide to engage in some bedroom antics, but only during the holiday break. I'm sure it's no surprise that feelings get caught and after Becca spends time with Harrison and his sister's family, she wants a relationship for real but overhears what she thinks is Harrison saying it's only a fling to him. Harrison of course does want to make this a real, long lasting relationship but a third act breakup has an emergency happening with one of his football players and miscommunication has these two at odds again.

It’s just a fling. A blizzard-buddy fling.

This had the snowy cold atmosphere for a seasonal read, a little bit of Christmas celebration with some presents, and a good amount of open-door scenes. I feel this would have worked better as a novella, as there didn't seem to be enough story to support the longer page count; my mind started to want to drift off from the story as Becca and Harrison bemoaned their issues in their own heads one too many times, and their conversations, while cute and sweet in some places, tended to rinse and repeat. If you're looking for something that won't heat up your emotions too hard one way or the other and has snow and open door scenes, this could be your seasonal pick.

I really liked this book, it was different than anything else I've read which was a breath of fresh air. I will be recommending this to my friends, and auto buy this author!

I thought the story line was odd. Didn’t expect her to be a mom over the sorority house and him be a random neighbor, but I thought over all it was a sweet read for Christmas and give you all those snow day romance feelings.

The set up for this story was so good! A blizzard that knocks out the power and leaves everyone stranded. Neighbors Becca and Harrison find themselves as "Blizzard Buddies" to wait on the storm. They went on a date 2 years prior and then Harrison just ghosted her.

Becca is quirky and seems to overthink everything. I thought I wished we got the why Harrison ghosted Becca earlier in the book but then when I was thinking this as I was reading I realized I wasn't even half way through and ready for it to move on from that.

This one is spicy and while I don't mind it, it was like in between the spice Becca was still questioning everything.

This book was a naughty hallmark movie. The storyline literally goes from being a bit too nice to down right naughty. Yet, these two love interests don't reconcile the "why" Harrison ghosted her 2-years ago. Becca was bit over the top at times as well which took away from the story.

I didn't feel the warm and fuzzy necessary to enjoy this romance.

Description:
Sorority mom Becca Fairfield is used to guys not taking her seriously. She’s too blond, too quirky, or Just. Too. Much. So she’s ditched dating to focus on her job and a house filled with drama and plenty of tea. Now with the holidays and a major blizzard on her doorstep, Becca has everything she needs to survive the next two weeks on her own. Hot cocoa, plenty of books . . . and the memory of a steamy kiss with a certain sexy, grumposaurus next-door neighbor to keep her warm. Only Becca’s seriously underestimated this Snowpocalypse. So when the power goes out and Harrison Cooper—football coach, master crank, and the guy who acted mega-awkward after said steamy kiss—offers her shelter, it only makes sense to accept. They’ll just be Blizzard Buddies. Hang out, stay safe, and maybe indulge in a little R-rated cuddling. Becca knows that Harrison isn’t the dating kind, and what happens during the storm lasts only as long as the storm. But are they keeping warm….or playing with fire?

This would have been a 5 star read if it wasn’t written as a Christmas book. As I’ve said before, I like my Christmas books to be Hallmark-y not Sex-y. I loved the characters and the concept, I just wished they had been snowed in for New Year’s. It’s funny that the MMC makes a comment about Catholic guilt. ”Catholic guilt is real.” WHO YOU TELLING?!

Super cute holiday read. I love that the female main character came off as quirky but stayed true to herself. Harrison and Becca were super cute together minus the miscommunication at the end. Also I loved that they both learned from one another. The story got to be repetitive at parts but overall I enjoyed it.
