Description:
Sorority mom Becca Fairfield is used to guys not taking her seriously. She’s too blond, too quirky, or Just. Too. Much. So she’s ditched dating to focus on her job and a house filled with drama and plenty of tea. Now with the holidays and a major blizzard on her doorstep, Becca has everything she needs to survive the next two weeks on her own. Hot cocoa, plenty of books . . . and the memory of a steamy kiss with a certain sexy, grumposaurus next-door neighbor to keep her warm. Only Becca’s seriously underestimated this Snowpocalypse. So when the power goes out and Harrison Cooper—football coach, master crank, and the guy who acted mega-awkward after said steamy kiss—offers her shelter, it only makes sense to accept. They’ll just be Blizzard Buddies. Hang out, stay safe, and maybe indulge in a little R-rated cuddling. Becca knows that Harrison isn’t the dating kind, and what happens during the storm lasts only as long as the storm. But are they keeping warm….or playing with fire?

This would have been a 5 star read if it wasn’t written as a Christmas book. As I’ve said before, I like my Christmas books to be Hallmark-y not Sex-y. I loved the characters and the concept, I just wished they had been snowed in for New Year’s. It’s funny that the MMC makes a comment about Catholic guilt. ”Catholic guilt is real.” WHO YOU TELLING?!

Super cute holiday read. I love that the female main character came off as quirky but stayed true to herself. Harrison and Becca were super cute together minus the miscommunication at the end. Also I loved that they both learned from one another. The story got to be repetitive at parts but overall I enjoyed it.

Such an adorable winter read! I finished this book in just under 24 hours! It was cute and I expectedly spicy!! (🥵 🔥🌶️) for a rom com. I will be recommending this book to everyone for a Christmas, or even just a winter read!

This book was just the sweetest, coziest early Christmas gift! Like the perfect sweater, the warmest blanket, and the most delicious cup of hot chocolate, Snowed In For Christmas warmed both my heart and soul, and I loved, loved, loved it so much!!

Becca 😍😍 I adored how unapologetically herself she is, how she lives life to the fullest, loves to laugh, loves her sorority girls, and is the biggest ball of sunshine to Harrison’s grumpy, “the fewer feelings the better,” misunderstood, softie self! I adored her love of books, her knowledge of random facts, and how she rambles when she gets nervous, and I loved how absolutely extra-special she is!

And oh, Harrison. He may be prickly and stand-offish on the outside, but I love his big heart and how much he wanted to lead and help shape his football guys into good men. I loved how sweet his was with his nephews and niece, how much he loved Blair, and how he loved and accepted Becca for everything she is 😍

This book made me both laugh out loud and tear up, and the growth that both Becca and Harrison experienced made me so proud. I also adored how @jaquelinesnowe was inspired by the blizzard of 2013! That blizzard will always hold a big place in my heart too, because it was when I discovered I was pregnant with my first baby 😍 And she’s a fellow U of I alum too!

Read this book! It’s just the sweetest (there is some great spice too!), and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to read it! Thank you so much @jaquelinesnowe @netgalley and @readforeverpub for my gifted e-copy! I can’t wait to read more from Jacqueline!!

I am sad to say that Snowed In for Christmas did not make me jolly this season. I am typically okay with spice, but I do admit that it feels weird to me in Christmas books. The cover is adorable and made me think it'd be a sweet close proximity type of book. But dang was it spicy. If that's your thing, then I think you'll like the book. It just wasn't for me. I felt it was more a story of lust versus love. And nipples were brought up before I got in 10%.

Overall, this was a fun and cute read. The Christmas vibes were minimal as it felt more like a wintery romance, but it still felt festive at times. It was a good escape and felt like reading a steamy Hallmark movie. I enjoyed Harrison’s grumpiness and how Becca balanced him. I did feel like the ending was rushed but I appreciated how much of the book focused on Harrison and Becca’s time together while being snowed in together.

In my opinion this book is the perfect lighthearted Christmas rom-com.

It includes the forced proximity (trapped together by a blizzard) , grumpy-sunshine and second chance tropes. However, this book still manages to feel fresh and fun.

I really enjoyed Becca the sunshiney FMC. I liked that even though she has a optimistic positive outlook she is still intelligent and practical, not flighty at all. I liked that Harrison, the male MC is serious, but kind. I thought the chemistry was good, and the spicy scenes sizzled.

Overall this is a fun, cute holiday read that will put a smile on your face!

Thank you to Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and Netgalley for providing me with an eARC of this book to read and review.

This book was a joy to read and had some of my favorite tropes.

Sorority house leader Becca Fairfield is used to people, particularly men, finding her job to be weird. Becca has always been made to feel too quirky or too much and it’s been a major hindrance in her dating life. Especially when it comes to her super hot neighbor and school football coach, Harrison Cooper. They went on a date several years before that ended with a steamy kiss…and then he ghosted her.

Now a severe winter storm has moved in and Becca finds herself at the mercy of the same man who couldn’t even send her an “I’m not interested” text. The more time they spend together stuck in his house, the more both start to change their minds. The weather outside might be frightful, but the bed by the fire is very very delightful.

Read this book if you like:
▫️forced proximity
▫️grumpy x sunshine
▫️witty banter
▫️slow-burn spicy scenes

Unfortunately, this wasn't for me. While I appreciated the holiday setting and the relationship that the protagonist, Becca, has with the college students she mentors, the relationship between her and the hero, Harrison, was convoluted and frustrating. Harrison is supposed to be "grumpy", but he has no real reason to be and I felt like there was little chemistry between the two of them. It's so hard to find good Christmas romcoms, so I'm disappointed! But, I think there are better options out there!

This is a cute, steamy little Christmas read that will definitely put you in the mood… for the Holidays!

I sat down with this book on the perfect day. It was the first real snowfall of the season and it couldn't have been a better fit for this storyline. Becca is a sorority mom, she loves not only the girls but her job dearly. Harrison is the grumpy football coach next door. During the holiday break, a freak snowstorm hits town with Becca waking up alone in the large house without power. Luckily her grumpy neighbour stops in to check on her and insists she stay with him till the power comes back on. With only a fireplace to keep them warm they have to get creative to fight off the frigid temperatures.

I honestly loved these two. The storyline had major Hallmark vibes with some spice added in. Both of these characters have some history that makes them jaded when it comes to relationships. I really felt for them, having people treat you in a way that makes you question your worth can really mess with your confidence and carry on to new relationships. As they started their blizzard-buddy agreement it was clear their history was a grey cloud hanging over them but as they spent more time together and started peeling away layers learning more about each other it was clear there was a connection. They really do complement each other so well and I loved how Harrison was able to lean on Becca's expertise as he tackled some of the issues with his team.

I find family dynamics really interesting. By any account, Harrison's family had some issues they needed to work through. His parents and brother are very toxic. I did however love his relationship with his sister and her family.

I would say this book is more of a snowed-in romance than it is a Christmas romance, though I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Read if you love:
- dual POV
- grumpy/sunshine
- only one bed/mattress trope
- open-door romance
- forced proximity

Content warnings: mentions of divorce, toxic family, alcohol, off-page car accident

DNF at 38%

Very slow and kind of boring.
No chemistry between the leads.

The male lead ghosted her after a great date 2 years ago because he thought she looked too "high maintenance".

I don't want to read a romance with that kind of judgmental and immature male main character. No amount of character growth can fix that for me.

This was a steamy winter romance, grumpy sunshine, one POV, the perfect snowed in “blizzard buddies” romance.⁣

There was an element of missed communication but it was cute and definitely steamy. Sorority house mom meets divorced football coach and they get snowed in. They couldn’t be more opposite but it works great for their connection. ⁣

Snowed in for Christmas is a great holiday read!! The characters are compelling and pull you in! Full of grumpy/sunshine, clumsy FMC, second chance romance, forced proximity, and lots of hot cocoa! It was sweet and I could barely put it down!!

This is not my genre at all! With that headline, I must say that I LOVED this and now I will follow this author FOREVER!

I don’t like Hallmark movies but every now and then I like messed up romance movies. This feel in between:)! Loved loved loved this book and your writing. Thank you to the author and netgalley for letting me read this book!

The characters were interesting and relatable. The way you told your story was captivating. I read it in one sitting.

Now this book is a stepping stone into a whole genre for me it seems lol

Sorority house mother Becca and her neighbor Harrison are forced to be roommates while stranded during a horrible Winter storm. Becca and Harrison went on a date two years prior, and Harrison ghosted Becca even though she thought the date went well. While rooming for the storm, they use each other for warmth, in more than one way. I think a lot of people will enjoy this one but unfortunately it didn't work for me. I never could get into their romance, as I thought both characters were both unlikeable and immature for their age.

Read if you like:
*second chance romance
*only one bed trope
*dual POV
*The House Bunny female MC vibes
*open door romance

A funny, sweet and sexy romance. A couple forced together because of a blizzard with a complicated past. I loved how it was silly and romantic and a perfect winter read.

This was a fun read! I enjoyed both characters and thought the chemistry and story was fun. I love a quirky main character, and thought the family issues were realistic, while still being interesting! Overall, this was a great holiday read I would definitely recommend! It was a bit spicier than I thought it would be, but you could probably skip those chapters if you like a closed door romance!

Story

I wasn't sure what to expect from this one but I have to say, I enjoyed it! Becca and Harrison are neighbors on a college campus (one is a sorority house mom and the other is the football coach) who went on a date two years ago... then he ghosted her. They've spent the years since avoiding each other until a huge snow storm comes right as the students are heading for winter break. They end up hunkering down together due to power outages, lack of firewood, and extreme wind and temperatures.

I really enjoyed their chemistry and the snowed-in style romance here. It's so much fun to watch two people get closer from a relationship perspective while they're forced together in those circumstances. Becca was such a fun character who tried her hardest to not let other people's assumptions about her get in the way of her being herself. Harrison was grumpy but soft underneath, which I like.

Honestly, I think Harrison got off a little too easy on the ghosting thing. There's obviously some explanation as the two start talking about it but I think that could have been beefed up a little bit. The ending got progressively more cheesy (lots of instalove) but was still cute in general.

Wintery Setting & Holiday Feels

There's definitely a difference between books that take place on Christmas and Christmas/holiday books. I think this story straddles the middle a little bit. The story happens right before the holiday and the two characters are snowed in on Christmas Eve, then head out for a Christmas celebration on Christmas day. There were some cute holiday moments but I definitely expected a little more from it. This felt like a cozy snowed-in romance with a touch of holiday cheer at most.

Overall

I'd recommend this one if you really want to feel that cold snowed-in setting and watch two people fall for each other. It made for a cute and cozy (although I really did feel cold while reading this!) romance with a lot of good steamy scenes as well. It wasn't all sweet, that's for sure! Good characters and a fun/unique setting made this a book I couldn't put down.
