I sat down with this book on the perfect day. It was the first real snowfall of the season and it couldn't have been a better fit for this storyline. Becca is a sorority mom, she loves not only the girls but her job dearly. Harrison is the grumpy football coach next door. During the holiday break, a freak snowstorm hits town with Becca waking up alone in the large house without power. Luckily her grumpy neighbour stops in to check on her and insists she stay with him till the power comes back on. With only a fireplace to keep them warm they have to get creative to fight off the frigid temperatures.

I honestly loved these two. The storyline had major Hallmark vibes with some spice added in. Both of these characters have some history that makes them jaded when it comes to relationships. I really felt for them, having people treat you in a way that makes you question your worth can really mess with your confidence and carry on to new relationships. As they started their blizzard-buddy agreement it was clear their history was a grey cloud hanging over them but as they spent more time together and started peeling away layers learning more about each other it was clear there was a connection. They really do complement each other so well and I loved how Harrison was able to lean on Becca's expertise as he tackled some of the issues with his team.

I find family dynamics really interesting. By any account, Harrison's family had some issues they needed to work through. His parents and brother are very toxic. I did however love his relationship with his sister and her family.

I would say this book is more of a snowed-in romance than it is a Christmas romance, though I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Read if you love:
- dual POV
- grumpy/sunshine
- only one bed/mattress trope
- open-door romance
- forced proximity

Content warnings: mentions of divorce, toxic family, alcohol, off-page car accident

Very slow and kind of boring.
No chemistry between the leads.

The male lead ghosted her after a great date 2 years ago because he thought she looked too "high maintenance".

I don't want to read a romance with that kind of judgmental and immature male main character. No amount of character growth can fix that for me.

This was a steamy winter romance, grumpy sunshine, one POV, the perfect snowed in “blizzard buddies” romance.⁣

There was an element of missed communication but it was cute and definitely steamy. Sorority house mom meets divorced football coach and they get snowed in. They couldn’t be more opposite but it works great for their connection. ⁣

Snowed in for Christmas is a great holiday read!! The characters are compelling and pull you in! Full of grumpy/sunshine, clumsy FMC, second chance romance, forced proximity, and lots of hot cocoa! It was sweet and I could barely put it down!!

This is not my genre at all! With that headline, I must say that I LOVED this and now I will follow this author FOREVER!

I don’t like Hallmark movies but every now and then I like messed up romance movies. This feel in between:)! Loved loved loved this book and your writing. Thank you to the author and netgalley for letting me read this book!

The characters were interesting and relatable. The way you told your story was captivating. I read it in one sitting.

Now this book is a stepping stone into a whole genre for me it seems lol

Sorority house mother Becca and her neighbor Harrison are forced to be roommates while stranded during a horrible Winter storm. Becca and Harrison went on a date two years prior, and Harrison ghosted Becca even though she thought the date went well. While rooming for the storm, they use each other for warmth, in more than one way. I think a lot of people will enjoy this one but unfortunately it didn't work for me. I never could get into their romance, as I thought both characters were both unlikeable and immature for their age.

Read if you like:
*second chance romance
*only one bed trope
*dual POV
*The House Bunny female MC vibes
*open door romance

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for providing me a digital reviewer copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

A funny, sweet and sexy romance. A couple forced together because of a blizzard with a complicated past. I loved how it was silly and romantic and a perfect winter read.

This was a fun read! I enjoyed both characters and thought the chemistry and story was fun. I love a quirky main character, and thought the family issues were realistic, while still being interesting! Overall, this was a great holiday read I would definitely recommend! It was a bit spicier than I thought it would be, but you could probably skip those chapters if you like a closed door romance!

Story

I wasn't sure what to expect from this one but I have to say, I enjoyed it! Becca and Harrison are neighbors on a college campus (one is a sorority house mom and the other is the football coach) who went on a date two years ago... then he ghosted her. They've spent the years since avoiding each other until a huge snow storm comes right as the students are heading for winter break. They end up hunkering down together due to power outages, lack of firewood, and extreme wind and temperatures.

I really enjoyed their chemistry and the snowed-in style romance here. It's so much fun to watch two people get closer from a relationship perspective while they're forced together in those circumstances. Becca was such a fun character who tried her hardest to not let other people's assumptions about her get in the way of her being herself. Harrison was grumpy but soft underneath, which I like.

Honestly, I think Harrison got off a little too easy on the ghosting thing. There's obviously some explanation as the two start talking about it but I think that could have been beefed up a little bit. The ending got progressively more cheesy (lots of instalove) but was still cute in general.

Wintery Setting & Holiday Feels

There's definitely a difference between books that take place on Christmas and Christmas/holiday books. I think this story straddles the middle a little bit. The story happens right before the holiday and the two characters are snowed in on Christmas Eve, then head out for a Christmas celebration on Christmas day. There were some cute holiday moments but I definitely expected a little more from it. This felt like a cozy snowed-in romance with a touch of holiday cheer at most.

Overall

I'd recommend this one if you really want to feel that cold snowed-in setting and watch two people fall for each other. It made for a cute and cozy (although I really did feel cold while reading this!) romance with a lot of good steamy scenes as well. It wasn't all sweet, that's for sure! Good characters and a fun/unique setting made this a book I couldn't put down.

Becca is a sorority house mom who is looking forward to the quiet holidays in the house alone. But when the power goes out and breaks a window, making the house uninhabitable, she has to ask her grump neighbor Harrison for help. He’s the football coach who also ghosted her after a steamy kiss, but he is the only person who can help. He offers to let her stay in his house as long as the storm is going and until she gets her house in tiptop shape again.

They decide since they are all alone together to be “blizzard buddies” who just hook up for the storm. But that spark was definitely still there. They also talk about their lives and their family relationships and they have so much in common. I couldn’t believe Harrison’s family and I would never have been able to hold back if someone spoke to someone I loved like his parents did. I was heartbroken for Harrison.

I loved this book! I wasn’t quite prepared for how steamy it was going to be! But Becca and Harrison had such good chemistry. I think the break after the steamy smooch just made them realize they did have something good. I loved the Grumpy Sunshine trope and of course only one bed. Both cared for their players/members so much.

Thank you @readforeverpub and @jaquelinesnowe for my gifted ebook. I’m really looking forward to from this author. Snowed In for Christmas is available now!

I honestly almost DNF'ed this book right out of the gate because I assumed it was going to be full of immature sorority girls and as an almost 40 year old woman I really struggle with college kids. However, I read some reviews and thankfully kept reading. I really enjoyed this book. I just love a grumpy/sunshine romance so much.

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for the ARC of Snowed in for Christmas!

Becca is the house mom for a sorority and lives next door to the football coach, Harrison. Harrison's team has not had a very successful season while his brother, a coach for another college team, is about to play in a bowl game. Becca is sending the girls off for the winter break on the eve of the worst snowstorm ever to hit central Illinois. She wakes the next morning to no power in a huge freezing house. Harrison shows up to check on her and convinces her to come to his house since he has firewood and they will be warmer together. Things have been awkward between them since they went on one date two years before and he never called her again. Despite an awkward start, the two slowly become comfortable with each other as both cannot deny their incredible attraction to each other.

I did not enjoy this story very much. For one thing, the entire book could have been avoided if either actually talked to the other instead of acting like immature children. Both characters are so wrapped up in their own head about any perceived slight that they cannot even see other people around them. Harrison is especially annoying because he is so jealous of EVERYONE; his brother, Becca. The writing often felt immature and repetitive.

Thanks for Forever for the advanced copy of Snowed In for Christmas!

Snowed In for Christmas is a cute holiday romance with set around a blizzard where neighbors who went on one date two years ago are forced to spend a few days together to brave the storm. It was cute, but a little too insta-romancy for a second chance/major miscommunication book.

I liked Becca as a main character, especially her House Mom and love and empowerment of her sorority women and how she helped Harrison learn to be the leader he wanted to be for the football team.

if you're looking for a cute book and are okay with miscommunication - make a cup of hot chocolate and read this!

I loved the concept of this one - forced proximity is a favorite trope and at this time of year I’m always ready for a good snowed in story! Unfortunately the execution just didn’t work for me and I decided to DNF this one. I am not a fan of poor communication. Thank you to Forever and Netgalley for the free ebook to review.

This was an adorable and steamy romance with the perfect winter setting!

Becca and Harrison are neighbors, and had been on a date years ago before Harrison ghosted her. Now they are bunking together during an unexpected and severe snow storm. While the temps continued to drop outside, the heat turned up indoors as chemistry explodes between them. Can they keep it just a snow storm fling without catching feelings too?

I loved Becca with all of her quirks and vibrant personality. She was the perfect match to counter grumpy Harrison and the steam was perfection.

Thank you NetGalley and Forever Grand Central publishing for my ARC in exchange for my honest feedback!

I loved this book. The romance was great between both of the characters. I loved how this storm was the reason that brought them together. I loved how they would do anything for the kids they worked with. I loved the ending and how he incorporated all her girls. Thank you to netgalley, the author and publisher for allowing me to get a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

A super cute Hallmark-esque holiday romance! I would 100% watch this movie.

When a blizzard hits, Becca finds herself unprepared with not enough firewood and a broken upstairs window. This forces her next door neighbor, Harrison, who ghosted her after a date two years ago.

Every character in this book felt so well-rounded and real. There was (unfortunately) some miscommunication, but it wasn’t the worst I’ve read. Overall, I found this to be a great holiday season read.

Thank you to Forever and Netgalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Love this one! Snowed in for Christmas is a grumpy/sunshine, sorta second chance romance and forced proximity story about two next door neighbors. I loved them both - Harrison and Becca are both lovable, wonderful people who deserve happiness. I loved the two of them together, their chemistry, and their charming interactions. The extended family is fun and the miscommunication, while present, was not overwhelmingly annoying. I read this in one night.

Snowed In For Christmas by Jaqueline Snowe
RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

REVIEW:
I truly adored this book. As a college student in the Midwest during this blizzard, I related so much to the characters. It was so devastatingly cold, they cancelled classes all week.
Harrison and Becca are a grumpy sunshine duo who are stuck together for safety during a blizzard over winter break. Harrison’s the school’s football coach and Becca is a sorority house mom. Harrison is simple and Becca is known for her neon colors and delicious hot cocoa (an attempt at said delicious hot cocoa in picture😂)
After being ghosted from their date 2 years ago, Becca is extra anxious to have to spend this blizzard with Harrison to keep herself safe. And while she’s grateful to him, she also can’t help but wonder why he ghosted her. These two break down each others walls and learn to communicate and work together through a difficult trial.

I ADORED this book fully.
