Major cliffhanger!!! I’m not going to go into details, but this why I have major trust issues! This story did not answer any of my questions at all! It was a very very good. I loved the quirky characters and the build up. I just wish I had answers in why all of this was happening! To be honest I loved the cliffhanger because the way it was presented I NEED to read the second one. It's not a matter of want.

This book seemed a little mature in parts for my middle school readers. The ending seemed abrupt and I needed a little more, but I guess that's the hook to read volume 2.

This is a fun little romantic from I’ve really enjoyed it. Love the art if I had two very cute I don’t love the title though. I could use some reworking, but other than that I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Freaking Romance Volume One by Snailords has an intriguing premise, but the storytelling itself was rather disjointed. I really, really wanted to enjoy this read, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. There were a lot of slightly-mistranslated idioms and a few typos that I assume will be corrected before final publication.

I was not a fan of this title. I know this series has a huge following on WEBTOON, so there's definitely a market and reader for this story, but I found it extremely difficult to get into it due to the art. It felt stilted and motionless. I also thought I'd recognized some of the characters due to the fact that they look like actors. Outside of that, the story is compelling. The K-Drama vibes really bring you in. I wanted more though. It did feel like we were riding the mystery high the entire time and it wasn't enough to keep my interest.

Freaking Romance is freaky amazing. Is it a love story? Is it a ghost story? What is "real"? A well crafter balance of relationship dynamics and sensuality. Subplots do not take away but add the the story and help us bond with the main characters. Pivotal scenes are retold with additional information pulling you in even more. AND there is a kitty! Just as this supernatural romance leaves Zylith and Zelan wanting more, so does the reader. Full of amazing art that intensifies the story.
Verdict- Must get to add to variety of manga collections for teens and adults.

Thanks you to NetGalley for this ARC!
Freaking Romance was a delightful and refreshing read! I hadn't heard of the Webtoon so I went into the story blind and was immediately hooked. The art and colors are gorgeous and I found myself staring at the characters expressions in some scenes more than the actual words. I like where the first volume left off and I'll for sure be picking up the next one!

I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to like this book. I felt that it started off a little strangely, and a bit confusing, but I'm glad I stuck with it because I loved it. Not only is the artwork amazing and gorgeous, but the story is great! I'm impatiently waiting for book 2 and can't wait to see where this story goes.

I absolutely love this Webtoon series. I started this Webtoon series a long time ago but never really had a chance to finish it all online. I love the storyline of an alternate universe concept where two people meet and possibly fall in love, but I'm glad that they were showing realistic ideas about safety around strangers and abuse. Zylith and Zelan are really struggling in their own way, but I wish this volume could have been longer to show how they start to help each other. I cannot wait to see more volumes coming out and just enjoying the overall comic again.

This is one of the cutest WEBTOON stories I’ve ever read. I loved the characters individually as well as their relationship. Was it a little weird? Yeah. But it’s so cute I didn’t care. I finished it all on WEBTOON but volume one is a GREAT start to this awesome story.

Thank you NetGalley, Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group, and WEBTOON Unscrolled for access to this arc!
4.5/5 stars rounded up!
This story was really good! Ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, what happens next?!?!? The art style was really nice, I love that it's full colour and some of her facial expressions really remind me of Nana Komatsu aka Hachi in the NANA manga series by Ai Yazawa, which I love! I can't wait for more!

This just makes me want to jump back on WEBTOONs. I loved the story and the graphics were done so well. I was definitely intrigued throughout and want to go read more of this story and see more of the art.

The plot of this volume was very interesting and I'm interested to see how it progresses. The art was also so cool

Loved it. A nice romance bit. I like that the curse words are censored, but not necessary as this is clearly for older readers. Kind of left on cliffhanger

Thank you NetGalley and Webtoon for the ARC!!
I read Freaking Romance as a Webtoon and I’m so excited it’s finally being adapted to a graphic novel. It was one of my absolute favorite stories on the site for awhile and I loved it up to the very end.
The graphic novel is made up by episodes 1-21 of the webtoon. The original comic has 79 episodes, so that leaves this first book being a fair amount of exposition. Considering the mysterious element of the story, it may feel confusing reading this book without follow up and not understanding what’s really going on and why Zander and Zylith can see each other. However, in the context of the full comic, it ends up being a fun and kinda wild story.
The webtoon seems to transfer very well to a graphic novel setting. It looked very good, the page cuts made sense, and the full page drawings were absolutely beautiful. It was a quick read, flowed very well, and I loved it just as much this time as I did reading it the first time on the app.
Even knowing how this story ends, I can’t wait to see more in this format. Thank you Webtoon for FINALLY adapting this story!!

Thank you to NetGalley and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group for an e-arc to read, rate, and review.
Wow! This is STUNNING! I feel like I'm watching an anime movie with a fantastic plot line! The characters are beautiful, the dialogue is funny, the storyline has tension and comic relief. I am hooked and look forward to reading more!

I first found Snailords in an anthology, and love their work!
This story is fabulous. I love the characters (especially Verose).
But the thing that makes this book stand out is the artwork. Snailords just has this distinctive art style. It's whimsical and ethereal while being edgy and brash. It's a juxtaposition that shouldn't work, but it absolutely does.
And that's what really sells the story. It shouldn't work. But it does.

A haunted apartment and glimpses of a beautiful ghost draw two strangers together in a most imaginative way. I love the colors and images in this graphic novel. Beautiful twist to the story as well. I cannot wait for the next volume.

I liked the premise, gives similar vibes to Your Name. The story feels a little chopped up in the galley I received so am unsure if it still needs a final go through, but I’d appreciate if it had better transitions, it seemed like there were none. Some of the language is a little meh, like if you’re gonna curse, curse don’t chop it up. Other than that pretty good.

Freaking Romance tells the story of young woman, named Zylith who moves into a new apartment. She is warned that mysterious things have happened in this apartment, but she desperately needs somewhere to stay. She beings to see handsome man wondering in her apartment, but the catch is, he can't see her. As his appearances become more frequent, Zylith begins to wonder what the real story is with the apartment.
First, I have to talk about the art in this story. The art is stunning and tasteful, I enjoyed just looking at the pages before i read any dialogue. Second, the story is funny, quirky, and even a little sexy. I found myself flying through the pages wondering what is going to happen next. I will say the pacing is a little slow, but the characters make up for that.
