Death in the Romance Aisle by Lynn Cahoon is a great cozy mystery. As Rarity Cole's bookstore is a success in the town of Sedona, Arizona, she decides to hire a college student or two to beef up operations. Her great plan is to have more book clubs that meet at the store, perfect for selling the club book choices AND for getting people into the store. However, she becomes involved in a murder when a body is found near the local quarry.
Rarity's friend, Sam gets a along awaited visit from her brother during this time. Sadly Marcus, the brother, becomes a suspect and a dark secret from his past becomes fodder for the local gossip. Will he be railroaded for the murder? Or is he perhaps guilty?
The story has some mild romance that simply seems a part of life. The romance does not define the story.
The "Tuesday Night Survivor's Club" - Rarity's book club of cancer survivors- also play into the story, carrying on the tradition of getting involved and annoying the local lawman.

Thanks Netgalley, Kensington Books and Lynn Cahoon for allowing me the opportunity to review this book.

Thank you, NetGalley, Kensington and Lynn Cahoon for this ARC.

This is the 3rd book in the Survivors ' book club series, I've read the other 2 and I'm hooked on this series. I love the friendship of the club members. I love how they alao include Jonathan with their sleuthing. I did miss Edith, Maybe we will see her in the next one. I did like that Holly and Malia was more involved in this book then the other 2 books. I feel like they are always in the background but this time they were part of the story. Don't get me wrong, I love Shirley but have been wanting more of Holly and Malia. What I didn't like was that the victiim in this book was very likeable and I hated her life was cut so short. I would have liked her to become a regular in this series. Another thing that I somewhat struggle with is Rarity and Archer's relationship. I just don't see a romantic connection, they just seem to be more friends than a couple. I just feel at times that Archer loves Rarity more than she loves him. That's just my opinion. I do believe the more I read this series that we all need a Killer in our lives, Killer the dog that is. Who wouldn't love that adorable fur baby?!

As for the mystery, I kind of guessed who the murderer was once we bad a list of suspects and was right. But I still enjoyed this mystery and can't wait for the next one in this series.
