Unfortunately not what I expected. I had previously enjoyed David Baddiel's writings but this was strikingly different. It felt like a long rant, or a personal essay to pick a bone he has with religion. As a religious woman who enjoys reading about all aspects of religion, this struck me as almost rude toward the reader. I unfortunately cannot recommend it.

I love reading books by David Baddiel. It may be because I’m Jewish and can relate so much with his words, but he’s also brilliant at simplifying complex thoughts and ideas in a way I never could.
This was really interesting even if I had to reread some sentences to fully understand.
