Never been to any of the Disney Parks so I'm not familiar with any of the recipes, but I do have to say that I was expecting different things and a lot more pictures of the recipes, at least that's what I'm looking for in a Cookbook.
Although I absolutely love Disney Parks Restaurant food, I was slightly disappointed in this collection of recipes. I would have loved to see ‘the Grey Stuff’, some rice crispy Mickeys and maybe some Dole Whip recipes. However there were some promising recipes to try but I would have preferred more pictures or even a step by step to make it more family friendly. As well, I would have liked to see some alternatives in cooking such as using an air fryer instead of traditional cooking oil, if possible. Overall I’d recommend this to Disney fanatics who want a taste of the parks in the comfort of their own home. This will be published September 19 2023. Thanks to NetGalley.and Adams Media for this eARC.
So many interesting recipes. I only saw a few I’d try. I’ve only been to Disney once so I wasn’t familiar with the food from the park, but wow there sure were a lot of fun things!
i love that the book starts with an intro to the parks' resturants and that each recipe tells you the origin of the dish. The instructions are easy enough to follow and the list of recipies is varried and good. In the digital ARC, if you flip the pages too fast - for example trying to get to a specific recipe - I would up accidentally opening a picture. This happened frequently. Though hopefully this wont be an issue with the final version.
Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of The Unofficial Disney Parks Restaurants Cookbook.
I enjoyed the first book by the author and I was pleased my request was approved.
This is a great cookbook filled with great history about the types of restaurants in Disney, what foods and table service they offer, and what foods they offer. All of this was new to me!
Many of the dishes are super easy to make; for example, avocado toast and chocolate hazelnut sandwiches.
I can't imagine how much the restaurants charge for these easy to make meals.
But, then if you're visiting Disney, price is the last thing on your mind.
My only caveat is the lack of photos. There are photographs but not for every recipe.
I'm sure I'm not the only person who eats with their eyes.

I had no idea that Disney was a food destination, but then again, the last time I was in a Disney Park was when I was 7 (Disney World) and 10 (Disney Land)…I don’t do rides and I hate crowds, so I have had no desire to go since then. To me, an amusement park or fair is for junk food – The Western Fair’s Fried Cheese on a Stick is the perfect example (with caramel corn for dessert as popcorn is, well, a vegetable!)
Reservations???? That includes a strict time table...not. gonna. happen. at. a. theme. park.
The recipes in here are varied and most as utterly scrumptious and totally appealing. (Pork tenderloin at an amusement park??? No.) This won’t convince your kids that it is a substitute for a trip there, but you can have some fun making the food together: Kids don’t understand how much a trip like that can cost especially if there is a plane and hotels involved. Fun food, fun times – recommended for all Disney fans.

I actually haven't been to Disney since I was a child & I only remember eating at the Blue Bayou. This book is still perfectly useful for me. There's "real" food in here, instead of stuff like churros, but there are still treats & even mixed drinks. It's not really something made for kids, but I'm sure kids would love most of it. For the most part the recipes are pretty simple. I think this would be a great book for anyone without a strict diet. The author does talk about inviting the atmosphere of the restaurants the recipes are from into your space, if you're into that.
This cookbook is a MUST not only for Disney park lovers but people who love to make fun food in general. The recipes look amazing, the pictures are good quality and I love that you can see where you can buy each treat on a map of the Disney parks. This cookbook definitely delivered more than I was expecting!
As a former DCP participant, I immediately requested this one, as I was excited to see what recipes would be included. Now, I didn't realize the importance of the word "Restaurants" in the title, as it looks like the author has already written another Disney Parks cookbook that features the more popular Disney recipes (I'm thinking Dole Whip, beignets, churros, the gray stuff, etc.) As someone who did the program and is a casual lover of the Disney parks, I think the original book is more up my alley, while this one is for the die-hard Disney adults who visit at least once a year. That is, unfortunately, not me, so I found that I didn't recognize many of the recipes, and thus, was not very excited about them. I do want to take at the first book now, but I wonder if this one was very necessary or how popular it will be. I may be trying some of these recipes out, but it would be moreso just to have ideas on things to cook, not because I am a fan of them from trying them at the parks.
Those (re)turning to Craft for even more ways to bring the magic home, will again look no further! She takes some of the Parks more popular signature recipes to the next level with easy hacks and superb DIY additions to achieve authentic Disney flavors and plating in your own kitchen. The selections are on-point and Craft's intros connect each one to their specific Disney location. From beloved classics like the Plaza Inn Chicken and the Monte Cristo, to a special recipe from Disneyland’s Club 33, and newer favorites like the Cold Brew Black Caf or the “Totchos”, your at-home repertoire will be Parks Ready in no time. This is another solid pick for all collections and a real winner for Disney enthusiasts
I liked the beginning with the short history of the restaurants.
I would have liked more pictures. If I'm going to follow a recipe, I like to know what it's supposed to look like.
Most of the recipes were ones you'd expect to find in most eatery's and easy enough for home cooks to replicate.
I received a copy via NetGalley and all opinions are my own.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
One thing about me is that I love Disney World and Epcot cookbooks. This book has had me excited to read since I first heard about it. The recipes are very easy to follow, and excellent representations of the food from across the Disney Parks.
A little too semi homemade for my taste, personally, but I enjoyed the recipes I made.

This book is like a Disney fan's kitchen dream come true. I loved how this book took the best recipes from table and quick services across the parks and jam packed them into one amazing cookbook!
The recipes are super easy to read, and are super easy to make too! It really is such an original cookbook, unlike anything out there.
From Ronto Roasters to the famous Cobb Salad from The Brown Derby all the way to Lobster Nachos at the Lamplight lounge there are so much fun and unique recipes to try, and I can't wait to dig in!

This is my second Disney parks cook book and I’m very excited to dig into it with my family. My daughter is a huge Star Wars fan- we can’t wait to try the dishes from Oga’s cantina!
