Good book of a variety of recipes to make in an air fryer. After a chapter on Cooking with An Air Fryer, recipes chapters are Breakfast, Appetizers and Snacks, Side Dishes, Chicken Main Dishes, Beef and Pork Main Dishes, Fish and Seafood Main Dishes, Vegetarian Main Dishes, and Desserts.
I liked that each recipe included nutritional info. Some had an extra tip or info with them. Only a few recipes per chapter had photos, and I wished there were more.

Thanks to Netgalley and to Adams Media for this Arc in exchange for my honest review.

There are so many recipes I had not thought about !! This book is really amazing. The pictures included made me hungry, they looked so delicious. Only thing that could improve this book was to add pictures for all the recipes.
I've had my air fryer for some time but never went so adventurous with.
I also appreciated the nutritional facts for each recipe.

The use of an air fryer is a must-have in many homes or college dorms, and one of the pleasant aspects about the air fryer is in lieu of a microwave or oven, it's become a substitute for preparing meals. As someone who loves tea and scones, I immediately fell in love with the ease of the two scone recipes available in the cookbook, but especially more with the ease of it taking six minutes (not counting prep time, especially for someone whose clumsy in the kitchen) to make the lemon-glazed blueberry scones.

Unfortunately, I did not have the recipes for it at the time, so (with plenty of sarcasm), I was forced to make to my absolute delight, the chocolate chip scones, and since then would never look back at not using the air fryer to make scones to my hearts delight on a rainy day to enjoy while reading, and drinking tea.

Eventually, I made it past the pastries, and all drooling aside, from the breakfast cookies (highly recommended especially if you're looking for something wickedly delicious, and keto friendly) to the bourbon meals, the recipes offered by Aileen Clark are low-maintenance to make, easy to find ingredients, and the recipes are not complicated or time-consuming.

The book would be a perfect gift, along with an air fryer for someone heading to college (an air fryer should fit well in a dorm), or simply for a busy family, or individual looking for easy, but delicious meals to make throughout the day.

The Crispy chickpeas became a personal favorite since I already enjoyed them as a snack, and I found with a bit of experimenting, a variety of different spices can be used to change the taste and add some variation.

For dinner, as a fan of shrimp, the shrimp taco recipe is an absolute need to make, and it wasn't long before I found myself bookmarking other recipes, for breakfast, snack, and evening meals, I planned on making down the road.

Overall, the cookbook offers not only good insight into the variety of meals that can be made using an air fryer (an inverter is inexpensive to buy, and as someone who tents camps, and also car camps, the air fryer is a great addition to have if one doesn't want to grill, though grilling naturally is still a better way while camping).

My hope is that eventually there will be additional air fryer cookbooks made available, due to both the interest, and excitement Aileen Clark creates, showing not only the essentials to make using an air fryer for meals possible, but opening a new world in cooking for those who either may not have great cooking skills like myself, or are busy like myself, yet yearn for delicious meals.

What a great recipe book. Easy to follow instructions with items you should have in your pantry. The only detriment to this book is not enough pictures. I like to see what the final outcome should be.

TLDR: Would have been better with more pictures, but otherwise it's a decent encyclopedia of comfort food recipes.

More details: As someone who uses an air fryer a few times a month, this book did open my eyes to all the different ways I could use it. However, do I really want to do multiple batches of baking scones or cookies when I could easily do it in an oven? This book is good for the person who wants a lot of solid recipes in one book (175!). Not many of the recipes were particularly creative or interesting outside of the fact they were made in an air fryer, so nothing really made me think I have to make this now! The lack of photos (one for every 5+ recipes) is also big drawback for me.

I received an advanced digital copy from NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

The "I Love My Air Fryer" Comfort Food Recipe Book is a very well written and curated recipe collection by Aileen Clark. Due out 1st Aug 2023 from Simon & Schuster on their Adams Media imprint, it's 224 pages and will be available in paperback and ebook formats. It's worth noting that the ebook format has a handy interactive table of contents as well as interactive links and references throughout. I've really become enamored of ebooks with interactive formats lately.

This is part of the "I love my" cookbook series and shares a format with the other volumes. For readers already familiar with the format, the information and recipes here are arranged the same way (making it easy to find and access).

A short introduction covers techniques for using and getting the most from the air fryer. The recipes are arranged thematically: breakfasts, appetizers & snacks, side dishes, chicken main dishes, beef & pork, fish & seafood, vegetarian, and desserts.

The recipes are varied and appetizing and are not fancy/difficult. They're everyday comfort family food and will find a welcome place in the family kitchen. The recipes are provided with an introduction and information/background followed by an ingredients list in bullet form. Ingredients are listed with imperial (American) standard measurements only. There is a conversion chart in the back of the book. None of the ingredients will be difficult to source at a moderately well stocked grocery store.

Nutritional info: calories, fat, sodium, carbs, fiber, sugar, and proteins are listed in the recipes. Some convenience/premade ingredients are used in the recipes such as worcestershire sauce, potato chips, premade pie crust, and puff pastry sheets.

The book is not abundantly photographed; roughly 20-25% of the recipes are accompanied by a photograph. Serving suggestions are appetizing and appropriate. The food which is photographed is professionally styled. This is a well written cookbook with tasty recipes and fits into its niche in the series very well.

Four and a half stars.

This book has many details on ingredients, time, and how to cook with this alternative method to a stove. This convenient way of cooking allows busy families to have a good, nutritious meal without much planning or cleaning. Definitely recommend this book to others that are wanting to provide appetizers for parties as well.

This cookbook is right up my alley because I do in fact love my air fryer. These recipes use minimal ingredients for an amazing amount of flavor.

As with most cookbooks, my only complaint is I wish there were more pictures. The pictures that are included made me want to start cooking now.

I received an advanced reader’s copy from netgalley in exchange for my honest opinions.
I got an air fryer for Christmas last year. I love him and use him all the time so I’m always wanting to try new things with it and see what else I can do with it. This collection was perfect. The recipes were easy to read and follow my only complaint is that there weren’t enough pictures.
But otherwise everything I want in a cookbook it had, I started with the breakfast section (because there is not wrong time for breakfast!) We made both the everything bagels and the cheese danishes. Both came out nearly perfect. I doubled the bagel recipe to have enough, but then used them to make breakfast sandwiches (also made in the air fryer) and those were perfect. The cheese danishes were a little more fiddly but we also really enjoyed them also.
I highly recommend this series- it’s good to have handy for the air fryer

This book is full of excellent air fryer recipe cookbooks. I have read many tailor to round air fryers, but this one also works with rectangular air fryers. I liked that the recipes were easy to follow and comprised only a few steps. I liked the default air fryer temperature set at 400 degrees. This makes the recipes even friendlier for those who are intimidated by using their air fryers. I would definitely recommend this read.

This air fryer comfort food cookbook has a little something for everyone -- from pastries to casseroles, doughnuts to French fries, and kebabs to corn dog nuggets. Many dishes aren't healthier counterparts to traditional fried food, but things a casual chef might not realize they can make in an air fryer. Dishes like Mexican street corn, macaroni and cheese, and bread pudding are a few of the items that can also be made in an air fryer.

While most comfort food isn't very healthy, many of these recipes are at least healthier versions of fried or boxed counterparts. A few recipes use shortcut foods like tater tots, frozen puff pastry, and bread but many are from-scratch variations of family favorites.

Anyone who owns an air fryer will find something to love.

If you’re one of the millions who love your air fryer, you’ll want to immediately pick up a copy of Aileen Clark’s excellent cookbook, The "I Love My Air Fryer" Comfort Food Recipe Book: From Chicken Parmesan to Small Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies, 175 Easy and Delicious Recipes. This book is full of recipes that most of us can relate to and want to eat.
The recipes are written in the traditional manner with the ingredients listed first, followed by step-by-step instructions that are easily followed by both beginning and advanced cooks. Clark has also added notes at the beginning of each recipe which are helpful and interesting. Most of the recipes have minimal ingredients and are fairly quick and easy. The recipes are gathered from all over and include recipes that most of us will remember from the past, like Porcupine Meatballs (popular in the 70s), and Stuffed Pork Chops. Also included are newer, more modern recipes like Everything Bagels and Nashville Hot Chicken.
While the photographs that are included are professional and beautiful, there simply aren’t enough; most cooks, when choosing what to prepare want to see what the finished dish should look like. This is the only drawback to the cookbook.

All told, anyone who likes cooking in their air fryer will want to include this excellent cookbook in their recipe collection.

Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

Wow, I can't wait to go to the grocery store and get the ingredients to make many of these fantastic sounding recipes! I never guessed some of these things could be made in an air fryer.

I like that she gives you suggestions for sides that go with main dishes, explains where some dishes originated, gives fresh/canned options for some dishes, and many helpful tips. I would, also, have liked more photos, but it's not a big deal. 4-1/2 Stars

I received an ARC for free but give my honest opinion voluntarily.
