Thank you to Jenny Proctor for a free copy of this book! All opinions are my own.

Lennox and Tatum were rivals in culinary school. So competitive that they were happy to get 10th out of 11th place if the other one got 11th. But now that's all behind them, or is it? Lennox is running his own restaurant on his family's farm and Tatum is hired as the catering chef. Can they put the past behind them, or must they face the tension that is boiling over between them in the present?

What an absolutely fun read. The way they have to lean on one another even when they don't think they even like the other one as a person is so good and makes sense why they are drawn to one another. I also like the way they are willing to stand firm in what they want while being willing to compromise for the other. Their relationship has so much fun banter but isn't over the top and it feels natural. Plus reading this book made me very hungry!

This is a closed door romance.

It could have been a me issue so use your own judgement and other reviews to make your decision. * I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and this is my voluntary and honest revew.

A fun new addition to the Hawthorne brothers series, How to kiss your enemy is the story of two competitive chefs with a years long rivalry, falling in love.

I enjoyed Lennox and Tatum’s story! While it was easy to spot why they would be considered enemies in their early years in culinary school, a strong rivalry kept up between them as they reconnected again after Tatum was hired to work as a chef for the Hawthorne family. They had great chemistry and it was fun to watch them come to terms with the fact they no longer hated each other, but felt attraction.

I liked the conflict Tatum’s relationship with her famous father added to the plot. It was good to see her struggle to separate herself from her fathers shadow and coming to terms with what she wanted in life. Lennox also had some development, going from renown playboy to settling down in a committed relationship.

Overall, How to kiss your enemy was a sweet, quick read, that’s perfect for Foodies and closed door readers alike. While this can be read as a standalone, I do recommend reading in series order.

*I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

If you are fans of rivals to lovers you will understand why this book caught me since the title, when I saw its name I knew that there was no way that I would not read this gem of a book and it was thanks to NetGalley that I was able to read it in advance (is now available on KindleUnlimited and Paperback)

I'll tell you quickly, in this book we are going to meet Lennox, a chef who works on his family's farm, he is happy with his job, doing what he loves, one day, a new chef hired by Lennox´s sister unexpectedly appears. He has no problem with having a new chef, his problem is that this Chef is nothing more and nothing less than his former classmate from gastronomy school, his eternal rival, the one who always tried to be one step ahead of him and also daughter of one of the most prestigious chefs so WHAT IS SHE DOING AT HIS HOME?

If this is not enough to make you want to read this book, let me tell you that you do not know what you are missing, it is a story of communication, support, growth, new opportunities. It is a beautiful love story, the kind that is sweet and makes you sigh, that makes you want to find your Lennox to listen and support you even when he knows that things can go terribly wrong.

It's becoming clear I have a weakness for chef romances, and this one is no difference! The chemistry between the heroes is incredible, as is their rivalry...

if you love enemies to lovers romance with a funny and fresh writing with drama and no third act breakup, this is the perfect book for you!
I liked the other two books in the series, and I expected the same with "how to kiss your enemy".
I really like Jenny Proctor's writing, the dialogues between the characters and their development.
What I lack is chemistry, in all three books I felt the same problem in different ways. There's little chemistry between the characters, and while their relationship develops a lot mentally, I don't feel the same phisically,
When I finished this book i had a smile and I knew I've just finished a very nice story, but nothing more.
However, it remains a pleasant, fresh and fun read, perfect for the summer period!

🩶 No third act breakup
🩶 Rivals to lovers
🩶 Workplace romance
🩶 Clean romance
(Not closed door, just kisses)

I am not much of a clean romance reader but if I reading clean romance it's either Jenny Proctor or Sarah Adams. This one was just as cute as the others. The power outage part was my favorite.

This is book 3 in a series, but can be read as a standalone. The series is great with a great family aspect.

I loved this book, it's a clean romance about two chefs that went to culinary school together and competed against each other for who is the best, turns out that they are great but different.
I loved this book, the author established a story that worked so good when the absence of sex scenes, because the author balanced the words so well that the story was good.

Thanks to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the chance to read this ARC.

This was such a funny, romantic, and quick story to read. I loved the interactions between Tatum and Lennox. The enemies to lovers trope was well written in this story. I totally got sucked into the family and now need to read the previous 2 books, and I am looking forward to the release of the 4th book in August.
I have definitely added Jenny Proctor to the long list of favourite authors for a nice light read.

Not a fan of this book of series at all. I loved the first book but this really couldn't get into. Hated the way both characters acted super childishly and made me not a fan of them or this book.

I received How to Kiss Your Enemy as an ARC, thank you to Jenny Proctor and her team for sending me this wonderful book! If you love enemies to lovers, family drama (both light family banter and actual fighting), pick this book up today. Tatum and Lennox were written with the perfect amount of "history" behind them for me. Not too much so that the story felt waterlogged by the past, and not so little that the plot line revolves around untangling the source of their mutual disdain. Their dislike for each other is simple and clear, but borne from the same adage: never judge a book by its cover. 4 stars from me, an overall light and easy read.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this arc!

How to Kiss Your Enemy is the 3rd book in the Hawthorne Brothers series. It takes place on a farm in the North Carolina mountains, which sets a tranquil and cozy scene. It’s a light hearted, feel good rivals to lovers (and features an adorable dog). Loved the witty banter between the FMC & MMC and caught myself smiling so many times during this read. Will definitely be reading the other books in this series!

I have yet to meet a Jenny Proctor book I don’t love and How To Kiss Your Enemy did not disappoint. This sweet romance is set in small-town Silver Creek on a family farm. Almost instantly I fell in love with the warm and caring Hawthorne family and as someone who loves a good meal with fresh ingredients the idea of a farm-to-table restaurant sounds divine. It is obvious from the detailed descriptions of the food and inner workings of the restaurant that the author has done a great amount of research on the topic which really made the book feel authentic.

I would say this is a fairly predictable enemies-to-lovers HEA but thankfully that is my happy place so I gobbled up every page. However, we do also get to see how Tatum is dealing with some complicated family dynamics and how she navigates that relationship and eventually paves her own way.

Oh and the golden doodle! Automatic gold star from me!

What I loved about this book:
– The chemistry was off the charts right from the beginning, it was obvious these two wouldn’t be able to keep their hands off each other
– Food!! I love trying new foods and the way cooking and the dishes themselves were described in this book had my mouth watering
– Who doesn’t love a close-knit family? The Hawthornes are indeed that perfectly close, loving and supportive family. I love that they always have each other's backs but also stick their nose in each other's business

This was book 3 of the How to Kiss a Hawthorne Brother series by author Jenny Proctor. I had not read the previous 2 books in the series but How To Kiss Your Enemy can definitely be read as a stand-alone. I look forward to reading the other two as I cannot get enough of this family and Jenny’s writing.
