Prepare for an irresistible rollercoaster of rivals turned lovers in "How To Kiss Your Enemy" by Jenny Proctor! Returning to Stonebrook Farm with the Hawthorne siblings felt like a warm reunion, but the sizzling chemistry between Lennox and Tatum stole the show. Their snarky banter and swoony moments had me hooked from start to finish, eagerly flipping pages. Proctor's genuine and relatable characters made my heart flutter, and their journey was flawlessly executed, leaving me utterly satisfied. With tantalizing culinary delights adding a sensory delight, this delightful novel is a must-read for lovers of enemies-to-lovers tropes. Fall head over heels for Lennox and Tatum—highly recommended!

Fun and sweet RomCom about Lennox and Tatum. This is the 3rd book in a series following the Hawthorne brothers. Lennox and Tatum are old rivals from culinary school. When Tatum takes a job at Lennox’s family restaurant, things begin to heat, but both can take it and neither want to get out of the kitchen. (See what I did there…? 😉)

This was a cute and fun read. If you like the RomCom genre minus the spice this one is for you. It is the 3rd in a series but I do not think you need to read the first two in order to appreciate this one. The writing is great. The characters are pretty tropey. It’s Rivals to Lovers more than Enemies to Lovers. Also Found Family. Exactly what you’d expect from a Hallmark style book.

I had a good time. Not a book that will stay with me, but I enjoyed the read.

I received this story as an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

When Lennox and Tatum were in culinary school together, they were definite rivals. Now that Tatum has taken a catering job on the Hawthorne farm, though, the years between seem to have softened the rivalry into banter - perhaps even flirty banter. But it's one thing to kiss your enemy, quite another to start an actual relationship. The longer Tatum holds the job, the more she realises that cooking isn't something she really wants to do as a career - her famous father notwithstanding. And there aren't really that many other jobs open around the Hawthorne farm. Tatum's father has controlled her career all her life until she left, and Lennox is determined not to try to do the same - but what would he do if she left? And her father won't let her go easily... Can they find a way to be together?

Another enjoyable, well written, clean romance in the series, with glimpses of previous (and future) books' characters (though it's a complete standalone story). I love the way that it's a relatively light sort of read, perfect for an easy escape, but there's still substance to it. Tatum has a lot of baggage, and I enjoyed watching her deal with it - with Lennox's help at times, but with him able to leave her to deal with things herself when necessary. His family relationships are also heart-warming to watch, even if hers leave a lot to be desired. All in all, a really good read, and I'm looking forward to reading Flint's story when it comes out.

Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from NetGalley. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.

This was a super cute and wholesome enemies to lovers story. And as always, Jenny Proctor's writing was very well done. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cute and easy to read closed-door romance.

Jenny Proctor's books are a delight. It is a simple, clean but entertaining romantic comedy. Tatum and Lennox starting out as enemies with a the from school still playing strong. They find themselves around each other again and they start to get to know each other. As they get to know each other they discover what they thought was true wasn't the case and there is more that meets the eye. I loved the chemistry and seeing just how much they have grown.

sooo soooo sooooo good! it's one of the best romcoms I've ever read, the characters are so sweet and funny and I love their relationship both before and after they get together. now that's an author who knows when to put tension! everything was well tied together from the love storyline to the subplot ugh it was just perfect. I may have to read the other books now that I've met the Hawthorne family, they're so sweet🥹
+ no smut but everything else clearly makes up for it

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this eARC of 'How to Kiss Your Enemy' by Jenny Proctor.

Jenny Proctor has done it again. 'How to Kiss Your Enemy' is about our favourite Hawthorne chef brother - Lennox and our love interest Tatum Elliott - whose father is absolutely loaded and he is well known for being a TV chef. The whole story I was hooked and I loved the fact that Jenny kept bringing in characters from the other books in the series and wove them in beautifully - specifically my favourite Hawthorne wife Kate, thank you Jenny for bringing her back to me.

Overall this story had everything you wanted in a closed door romance and I adored it.

This is the third book in the Hawthorne Brothers series and is probably my favorite one out of the series! I love this author because she writes clean romance. Sometimes you just need a break from the spice and Jenny Proctor delivers without compromising the romance story line. This is a story of Lennox and Tatum, who start off having have a hate-hate relationship. This book is a great enemies to lovers trope that will definitely leave you wanting more. If you haven't read any of the other books in the series, read them first as this one will have character/relationship spoilers if you start with How to Kiss Your Enemy. Thank you NetGalley and Victory Editing for the opportunity to read this book!

Rival chefs from culinary school meet again years later, when one starts work at the other's family farm.

Super cute and sweet, everyone is gorgeous and beautiful, the banter is at par, and as this is the third book in a series with four brothers, so there should be another book coming. This formula will work for many romance readers, it was just an okay read for me, not terrible by any means, just not very memorable.

Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Once Flint's story is out, I am ready to declare this as the best rom-com series. The bar gets higher everytime you get to know one more Hawthrone. I, now, have expectations on Flint.

'If there is ever a zombie apocalypse, I definitely want the Hawthorne brothers on my survival team' - Just this line. This is enough to describe the Hawthrones.

'TATUM freaking Elliott. Thousands of chefs in America, and my sister hires her.'

'But Tatum freaking Elliott is my future.'

These two lines sums it up.
Lennox Hawthrone runs a restaurant at their family farm. When in need of a catering chef, his sister hires Tatum, Lennox's sworn enemy from culinary school. Everything goes downhill at the first encounter for Tatum. But feelings for each other go way up, pretty fast pretty soon.

They can feel the tension, and something hanging between them that they are afraid to acknowledge. But the problem with Tatum is that she isn't sure if she wants to be a chef in the first place. And the pressure from her dad, to join him with his fame and career, is a bonus. If she ever want to get involved with Lennox, she needs to keep her thoughts and needs, straight.

I am already a fan of this series. Just another Hawthrone being added to my favorite fictional characters list. I love this story. I always loved Jenny's writing. Only she can compel me to finish a rom-com in a couple of days.

This series will always be on top of my list of recommendations. Thank you so much Jenny and the publisher for providing me with an ARC.

Another winner in the Hawthorne brothers series!

This one has everything we have come to love in this series. We have banter and puns and Hawthorne family interactions. A sweet, closed door contemporary Rom-Com with plenty of swoon.

Lennox and Tatum give us an entertaining ride through the kitchen. It's fun watching them overcome previous interactions to become a team and a couple.

Animals also provide entertainment. A dog, a goat, bears, there's a little bit of everything for the reader.

I want to thank the author for providing a complimentary copy of the book through Netgalley.

Enemies to lovers? Count me IN! I just loved the banter between Lennox + Tatum! It was just so flirtatious and fun. I enjoyed reading about Tatum and was so happy once she found her voice against her dad and spoke up for herself — reading about a FMC who speaks up for herself and her happiness always makes me pumped. It was refreshing to read about Lennox and shine light on his selflessness when they were discussing the situation that could land them in California, you could feel how much he loved Tatum just by how much he CARED about her happiness! This book was so so great, I loved it from start to finish.

I only picked this one up from Netgalley this week and I have absolutely raced through it. It is absolutely everything I could want from a romance novel! I had no idea when I first requested it that it was the third in a series, however it didn’t matter as you can absolutely read it as a standalone!

Lennox and Tatum have the perfect adversaries to lovers story. So often my problem with such tropes is that the guy seems to be so rude to the main love interest in the beginning for no reason but there was none of that here. The transition from one relationship to the other felt natural and believable and I wasn’t left feeling like he didn’t deserve her. If you are someone who wants spice in your romance, this isn’t the one for you, but if you’re like me and prefer a sweet romance with fade to black, you HAVE to pick this one up!

So good, love the banter. I read this in less than two days. I LOVE PENELOPE....no matter what, Penelope can do no wrong! The chemistry and flirting, and overall self-realization between Lennox and Tatum was refreshing to read. One gripe I have is that the epilogue went through so many personal things for the different couples in the span of a paragraph! I need time to digest what happened! Love this book and series.....so far, this may be my favorite one!

This is the 3rd book in the How to Kiss a Hawthorne series (Although I haven't read the other book in that series yet, but this can read as a stand-alone). The 3rd book is about Lennox who is a chef and running the family restaurant . When they hire a new chef for the catering kitchen Tatu, her enemies back in culinary school, they always arguing about everything . But incident happens that make they realize they can be friends who can talk various topics. It is a sweet, quick rom-com, the book was the perfect length, well paced, its atmospheric since I fall in love with the settings, the farm etc.

Honestly, this is more rivals to lovers than enemies to lovers. The banter was okay, I can't deny they were sweet and cute together. But I can't specify what exactly they love about each other other than both parties being handsome, sexy and beautiful. I like the fact that they start off as a friends instead immediately kissing etc. but it still didn't convince me to like them as a couple. They did have a chemistry but I wish it have more depth and well developed. I wish the book take more time for their friendship instead.

Overall, short sweet read. But its not my cup of tea. But still recommended for those who love rival at work, chef, farm settings and sweet romance. Thank you to Netgalley for the review copy.

Ah, Lennox and Tatum. Two people that you might not think would have given a second thought or glance with the other. Meeting in a culinary class the two were very competitive in order to not only pass but to come in at first place. The characters end up working together at the homestead of Lennox. It may have seemed too predictable but as the story goes on the characters become more and more relatable and the chemistry between them more hopeful. I was rooting for the two of them at the end. I am waiting on other books by this author as I cannot wait to read more.

5 out of 5 stars

Thank you to NetGalley as well as the author/publisher for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is a very cute and clean romance read! I’ve read another book in this series, but didn’t feel as though I needed to in order to read this as a stand-alone. Lennox and Tatum were really great characters that had excellent chemistry. I loved their banter but also how well they balanced each other. There was a decent depth to make the characters feel real, without weighing down the story. This book is a perfect quick read that leaves the reader smiling! 4.25⭐️, 0🌶
