I loved this even more than the last Hawthorne Brothers book! Lennox and Tatum’s chemistry was just *chef’s kiss* (excuse the terrible pun 😂). I loved that they started off as “enemies” but it didn’t drag on the way other enemies to lover trope books do! They quickly acknowledged their attraction and this was all the better for it. LOVED all the interactions with Brody and Perry - so lovely to get little updates about them! Also - a top notch epilogue ❤️

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

Before requesting this read, I was unaware that this was a series, but didn’t have any trouble reading it as a standalone. I loved the Hawthorne family- it really makes me want to go and read the other books in this series. The way the farm was described, it seemed beautiful and picturesque and made me want to go for a visit.

Lennox and Tatum played the roles of enemies to lovers very well. I enjoyed reading their story develop and the complexity of their characters.

A cute and sweet rom-com. This is a really quick read and who doesn't love enemies-to-lovers, Tatum and Lennox had loads of chemistry even though this is a short book. I loved the rivalry yet there is real communication and no cliché miscommunication. I will definitely make sure to check out the rest of this series and I'm excited to learn about more characters and see more adorable love stories unravel.

"How to Kiss Your Enemy" is the third book in Jenny Proctor's "Hawthorne Brothers" series. This book is focused on Lennox, an award-winning cook who runs his family's farm-to-table restaurant. When the restaurant needs some extra help, Lennox' cooking school rival, Tatum, is hired on to help. At first, the two are as acrimonious as ever, but soon the sparks begin to fly. As they work together, they begin to learn more about each other and realize that they work best when they work as a team.

I really enjoyed this sweet romance between Lennox and Tatum, as well as the side characters that I have read about in Proctor's other books. I look forward to reading her next book when it comes out! Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Tatum and Lennox attended culinary school together, where they developed a rivalry between themselves in an effort to outperform one another and take first place in the class. Tatum is hired as a caterer at Stonebrooke Farm, which the Lennox family owns and where Lennox is the restaurant's executive chef.
I adore strong character development, and Tatum's story in particular was outstanding, her relationship with Lennox felt authentic and true, and Toby? God he was so cute!
It was really light and quick to read, no major plot twist only swoony moments and good banter. There's nothing I didn't love!!
I would absolutely go back and read the other novels to learn more about the other brothers because I didn't realize it was book number 3 in a series when I first started.
WHAT I LOVED THE MOST:
- The banter
- The FMC has curly hair
- The Group messages between the Hawthorne brothers.
- The friendship/ familial/ and love bonds

This book took me a little while to get into but I ended up loving it! The banter between Lennox and Tatum was super witty and I loved witnessing their relationship grow! This is the third book of the Some Kind of Love series (which is an interconnected standalone series) and it made me want to go back and read about the other brothers and their love story’s! I love the relationship that the Hawthorne family has (especially between the brothers and their group chat). I’m so glad I found this book and highly suggest reading it!

AHHHHH!!! I fell in love with the Hawthorne family!! This is the first book I've read by Jenny and I can't wait to read all of her past books, and any books that she reads in the future. The story of enemies to lovers had my heart melting. I don't know how Jenny manages to write a clean romance, but still make me weak and squealing! Jenny did amazing work with this book, and deserves all the praise!

I liked the concept of How To Kiss Your Enemy, but I didn’t connect with the characters.
It’s meant to be sweet with sizzle. I didn’t see any sweet from the start. The sizzle and their dislike of each other was ramped up right from the beginning. I think that’s why I didn’t conduct, I didn’t grasp why both their dislike and their attraction were so strong.
It’s a bummer because I really wanted to like it.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book.

This is an adorable, quick, sweet rom-com. Not only did I like the hero and heroine, I loved his entire family and the setting. While this is the third book in a series, reading the other books isn't necessary and it reads well as a standalone. I found the behind the scenes peeks in both kitchens to be interesting and well done. I couldn't put this book down and read it easily in a day.

I'm putting the other books in this series in my TBR list because I want to visit this family again!!

I literally read this book in one sitting, I loved it so much! I didn't know it was part of a series and immediately added the rest of the books in the series and the rest of the authors books to my TBR. This was easy to read, well written, sweet, and moved at the perfect pace. It felt like a breath of fresh air! I so wish I could visit the restaurant and the family farm for lunch.

5 stars!!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy to review. All opinions are my own.

”If she’s dreaming, I’m glad it’s about me. Because whether she remembers it or not, my first kiss with Tatum Elliot is something I’m never going to forget.”

Tatum and Lennox went to culinary school together, where they had a rivalry with each other trying to out do each other and be the best in the class. Tatum gets a job to be a cater at Stonebrooke Farm, which turns out Lennox family own the place and Lennox is the head chef of the restaurant.

I love Tatum and Lennox together starting out as enemies and the rivalry from school still playing strong. Until they start to get to know each other and find out what they thought was true wasn't the case and there is more that meets the eye for both of them. I loved the chemistry between the two and you can see just how much they have grown. I liked that there wasn't a break up and that Tatum and Lennox both spoke to each other and had an actual conversation when they were struggling. I just thought their love story was beautifully done.

I loved everything about this book, when I first started I didn't realise it was part of a series (book number 3), I will definitely be going back to read the other books to find out more about the other brothers. You don't have to read in order but I think it definitely helps for more of a backstory.

A fun entertaining romcom. Clean romance. Enemies to lovers. Small town trope. Book#3 in the series and the first one that I read. Going to read the books 1 and 2 because I enjoyed this one so much!

OMG! What a cute enemy to lovers romance. It gave me all my favorite things! Small town, enemy to lovers, a precious dog, forced proximity! I was in love with the dynamic in this book the way the characters were forced to be together at work and they kept reliving their college days in their minds. I think the characters were well written and relatable! I will be recommending this book!

This was a fun, sweet, quick rom-com. The book was the perfect length, the relationship building was well paced, the world was built well and the conflicts were wrapped up well. My biggest complaint about romances in general are how dragged out they can be. This book felt perfectly timed.

This is the 3rd book in the How to Kiss a Hawthorne series but it reads as a stand-alone. This is the first book of the series I read and I’d expect a bit more backstory of the other couples was missing but it didn’t take away from the book.

This was more rivals to lovers than enemies to lovers. The banter was enjoyable and witty.

The book has 0 🌶️ and only details their kissing. I am not even sure if they slept together before saying “I love you”. Did not take away from the book for me but if you are looking for spice, this one isn’t for you.

An amazing book . The third Hawthorne brother story we have now . Lennox is a chef and running the family restaurant . When they hire a new chef for the catering kitchen Tatum appears in front of him . They used to be enemies back in culinary school . At first they always arguing about everything . But when an run in with a bear and her cubs makes Tatum realise they can be friends with Lennox . Spenting time together makes her open up to him and talk to him about her worries for her job . Will she let her father use her like always does or she will make her own dreams ? I loved how Lennox was always there for her and he gave her his love and support .
I received this book from net galley and the publisher as an ARC. Thank you! All thoughts and opinions are my own .

➳ arc rating: 4.5 ★

First of all, I want to thank the author, Victory Editing and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. How To Kiss Your Enemy by Jenny Proctor will be coming out on May 9th, 2023.

Jenny Proctor is a YA rom-com author. Her best-seller novel, Eloise and the Grump Next Door was released in 2022.

How To Kiss Your Enemy is book 3 in the How To Kiss A Hawthorne Brother Series, but it can be read as a stand-alone.

What is the book about?
In this story, the chemistry between two chefs, whose rivalry dates back to culinary school, takes center stage. When Tatum Elliott (FMC), daughter of the famous chef Christopher Elliott, arrives to run the catering kitchen at Lennox Hawthorne’s (MMC) family farm and event center, tensions arise.

Lennox, while distrustful of Tatum, finds himself drawn to her. Their heated rivalry resurfaces, but there's also an undeniable attraction simmering between them, growing faster than any dish they create in the kitchen. However, Lennox can't forget that Tatum's future lies in the glamorous culinary world, not on a farm.

Determined to protect his heart, he must ensure that when Tatum eventually leaves, she doesn't take his heart with her.

The story explores the complexities of love, ambition, and finding a place where one truly belongs.

Tropes and themes:
• Rivals to lovers
• Second chance
• HEA

My review:
How To Kiss Your Enemy is a YA rom-com with Harry Styles references that will make you fall in love with all its characters.

This novel is captivating to the point that I couldn’t put the book down not a single second —i literally fully read it in an afternoon. It was a really easy and quick read.

Lennox and his family deserve all the goodness. I loved their relationships with Tatum and how kindly and close they all were with her since the beginning.

Both main characters have so much chemistry throughout the whole book and worked so well together. This is a must-read if you are into culinary romances and soft rom-coms in general!

My favourite quotes:
“If she’s dreaming, I’m glad it’s about me. Because whether she remembers it or not, my first kiss with Tatum Elliot is something I’m never going to forget.”

“For the first time, maybe in forever, I feel free.”

Who I recommend this book to?
• People who look for an easy and quick read.

These are sweet romance with amazing side characters. Jenny knows how to get us to fall in love with these characters and keep reading on.
This one had some of my favourite tropes, enemies to lovers, workplace rivals, close proximity and Dual POV!

Chef Lennox has his doubts when culinary school rival Tatum takes a job running the catering kitchen at his family farm. Heat flares between them, but he protects his heart. As the daughter of a celebrity chef, she has bigger opportunities—and he doesn't trust her to stay.

Tatum and Lennox are cute together. She's smart and strong, while he's caring and protective. I love the warm family feel of this enemies-to-lovers rom com.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
