I loved this book! How to Kiss Your Enemy is the third book in Jenny Proctor’s How to Kiss a Hawthorne Brother. This book was just so fun and everything that I had hoped it would be! Lennox needed his own book and I was so excited to finally get to read it!
Lennox was such a sweet guy and I loved getting to know him. He was trying his best to keep his restaurante going and to make his family proud of him. Lennox had to learn to ask for help and what it looked like to put himself out there hoping for the best.
Tatum was also great! I enjoyed getting to read about her. She was a strong female character and I loved how she was able to banter with Lennox. However she was also trying to figure out how to be herself and what she wanted to do with her life.
I really liked the progression of Lennox and Tatum’s relationship. It was fun to read about their relationship progressing from enemies to friends to lovers. They were just perfect for each other and I loved how they balanced each other out. I really like how they weren’t mean enemies but they were more just rivals. The storyline was interesting and I was engaged the whole time.
How to Kiss Your Enemy is a great book and I would definitely recommend it! I am so excited for the next book. How to Kiss Your Enemy is a closed door enemies to lovers romantic comedy

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.

If you’re wanting a quick, feel good read, then look no further!

This book takes place on a beautiful farm in the mountains of North Carolina. It was described well and I found myself longing for the crisp air and cozy sweaters! The Hawthorne family is kind and they look out for each other, just as you’d hope a family would. I loved reading about their camaraderie, and I was happy that there weren’t any vindictive family members trying to break up Tatum and Lennox’s relationship!

My favorite part of the book was Tatum. I love the way her character was written! Her words were like talking to a friend, or reading a journal. I found myself laughing as I read, and wishing I could know her in real life. And don’t get me started on her romance with Lennox! The way Lennox treats her is the way every woman wants to be treated; he’s respectful of her opinions and never pushes her to make choices based on his feelings. He’s also tender and understanding throughout the whole book (except for when he kind of hates her at the beginning, but we wouldn’t have the great enemies to lovers trope without that😉).

I tend to have mixed feeling about books told from dual perspectives, especially when the two main characters are opposing genders. Proctor does a pretty good job of keeping their voices separate and distinct, and there were only a couple times I had to remind myself whose mind I was in for that chapter.

Overall, I really liked the world and characters that Jenny Proctor has created and the next time I need a good comfort read, I will definitely be picking up another one of her books!

How to Kiss Your Enemy is the third book in the Hawthorne Brothers series. Each book in the series focuses on a different brother and as such could probably be read as a standalone. There were definitely a few minor spoilers from the previous books, so I'd certainly recommend reading them in order if you'd like to avoid them.

This particular book is Lennox's story, and I must admit I've really been looking forward to it... and it absolutely did not disappoint. The banter between Lennox and Tatum was absolute perfection. I must admit that enemies to lovers isn't always my favorite trope, but I do love the banter it brings when it's done well... and this certainly was done well. And the chemistry between them!? Well, the food wasn't the only thing cooking in this story... and I absolutely loved it! This is definitely one that will have you swooning! Still, this remained a closed-door rom-com with lots of sizzling kisses, but nothing beyond that.

I have enjoyed every single book in this series so far, but I do think this one might just be my favorite one yet. Flint's story is up next, and I cannot wait to see what happens next!! If you're looking for your next great romantic comedy read, this series is definitely a must-read! I adored it!

**I received a complimentary copy for consideration. All thoughts are my own.

I’m fully invested in this universe that Jenny Proctor has created. This is my first book by her and going into it I didn’t realize that I now have a bunch of Hawthorne brother goodness to read this summer. This is a closed door romance, and though I haven’t been reading many of those as of late I loved how it was done in this book. I never felt that sort of empty fade to black cut off that some closed door romances have that leave the reader asking themselves ‘what was the point in going that far just to cut it off?’. This book made me swoon and cheer as the characters grew closer and the tension and chemistry between Tatum and Lennox was delightful. This was quick read but I’m so excited to go and jump into more of Jenny’s books because I found her writing to be so enjoyable and fun to escape into for a few hours.

I really think anyone who grew up loving a YA romance will love this, it’s more grown up but gave me all the same giddy feelings that I used to have reading YA and for me that’s a perfect summer read!

Thanks to NetGalley, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op and the author Jenny Proctor for providing me with a e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.

An adorably sweet rom-com from Jenny Proctor. This was the third book in the Hawthorne Brothers series and it can definitely be enjoyed without having read the two previous books as this title focuses on two new MCs Lennox & Tatum. Both are talented chefs who have reunited at the Hawthorne family property years after leaving culinary school as rivals. As the two work from being enemies to co-workers to friends, they realize that maybe they don't dislike each other so much after all.

While this is obviously a romantic comedy, I did enjoy how the author took some time to explore Tatum's career prospects and delved into how one figures out what to do once they realize their work is no longer fulfilling them.
