Reading this book was like receiving guidance from a wise older friend. Larry Heitz’s writing draws Christians back to the foundations of the faith, and away from strict man-made rules. Although his theology is solid, this is not really a book of theological arguments. Rather, it’s a practical guide for Christian living, with a lot of room for Christians to use their own discernment. It’s a reminder that Jesus should be the most important thing in our lives. I would recommend this both to those who are new in the faith, and to long-time Christians looking for a reminder of what faithful living is all about.
