I love the details in this book. It covered everything I was interested in to know how to make earrings out of polymer clay. I loved the clay tidbit of information regarding COVID production etc.
The designs are beautiful and I can’t wait to try to make a few of these. The vibrant colors and creativity are my faves.
Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for an advanced reader copy of “Making Polymer Clay Earrings” by Liat Weiss.
This is such a useful how-to guide on making clay earrings. It details everything you need to know and what you need to accomplish it. The photos are beautiful and clear if you want to follow along. This would make a lovely gift too.
A nice book with great step-by-step instructions and fully illustrated in full colour for the beginner wanting to learn how to make polymer clay earrings. The aim is to teach all the basic techniques as well as 20 specific ones to send the learner on to a journey of making and designing their own earrings.
The 20 projects look simple enough for a beginner to handle and I liked most of them.
5 stars from me.
This is a great title with easy to follow instructions and some great designs. The photography is great and provides step by step instructions on how to recreate the designs.
This book is so clear, inspiring and easy to follow. I've been interested in polymer clay for a while, but hesitant to start because it seemed a little complicated. This book simplifies things and is very empowering. It had instructions for specific projects, all earrings, but a lot of the value of the book is in how it explains things. What polymer clay is best for what, how to begin working with clay. It covers the basics, and then leads in to the projects, which are anything but basic. I've made a couple of projects directly from the the book, and also started doing other polymer clay art too.
Thanks to NetGalley for this beautifully presented, inspiring and accessible book.
I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. This book is great if you are into crafts. This would even be great if you have children and they can make their own crafts. Which would be great as gifts for Christmas. The instructions are easy to follow and I like most of the designs.
My daughter teaches K-3 and loves fun earrings. I used to make the for her until arthritis decided to stop the fun for me. This book is a great to get her started making her own earrings and the rainbows will likely be her first project. So much for a Summer break, I just loaded her plate up with projects through this book and a stash of polymer clay for her to use.
With easy to follow instructions, you’ll be making your own fun and jewelry in no time with this book.
This was a great book for a How to Start. If you have never made clay jewelry or used clay before this was a fantastic place to start. Its a really comprehensive guide how the tools work and what tools you would need. But it also goes into detail about the clasps and earring closures you would need and ones you can use.
There is a fantastic colour chart that shows you how to make each colour. As well as a baking chart of how to bake each type and also what temp as well as the time it needs. This is very much a guide of, all you need to bring is your creativity, everything else is explained in really amazing easy steps, so you can't go wrong. This doesn't even take into account that there are designs in the book. Once you have mastered these, you can then create your own colour schemes and start designing your own.
This is a fantastic start to a new hobby.
This was a really informative polymer clay crafting book.
While the styles in the book aren’t anything I’d ever wear I could see others liking it.
It was cool because it shows you color mixing, storage of clay, price points and tips and tricks.
I definitely recommend checking this out if you’re venturing into polymer clay work.
