A thoughtful exploration of the different fears that may hold people back from fully enjoying their lives and how those fears can lead to learning and growth. The author has a warm, friendly writing voice and I enjoyed the anecdotes she shared with us to personalize and illustrate the fears she writes about. I think I was expecting more concrete advice on managing finances though I appreciated the more comprehensive, mindset-driven guidance that can be applied to all kinds of decisions, financial or not.

Thank you to Atria for the opportunity to read an advance copy.

Farnoosh Torabi is a well-known name in the online world of personal finance. I jumped at the opportunity to read her latest book, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a book that was as much about mindset as about money. Through chapters each revolving around a type of fear, Torabi uses (often humorous) examples from her own life to explain how fear can in fact propel you forward and help you both personally and professionally, rather than make you freeze in your tracks or shy away from an opportunity.

While Torabi steps out of her usual realm of personal finance, the book was honest, refreshing, and a pleasure to read while also giving some food for thought on how we can "follow our fears."
