I really feel like this book skips scenes and doesn't always make the most amount of sense, but it was so much fun? So I really want to continue in the series despite spending a good bit of time wondering if I blinked and missed... well, a lot. That said, I've already picked up book two to the series so clearly it does enough right to keep me invested.

A fun read.
Riley ends up on an island after a horrid journey, trying to find a long lost relative. Her and Edison don't get off to the best start, but will that change. I liked how it is told from both points of view and look forward to the next book in this series.

I haven't made any Halloween posts this month, which is a bit of a shame. I did receive this ARC that I read at the beginning of the month. So thank you again, for sending me this. Let's get into the actual review.
The story follows Riley who receives a letter from her distant aunt after her mother passes away. Riley travels the to the island of Starfall to meet with her aunt, and see what she has to say. What she doesn't expect is for her aunt to pass away before they ever get the chance to properly meet. After meeting with her aunt's lawyer, she finds out that her aunt left everything to her!
Of course things get stranger when she finds out she's a witch and her sole job is to protect the ghosts and souls that are living in the house. Even though she's overwhelmed, she gets help from 3 locals. Two girls she immediately bonds with, and the dreamy Librarian Edison.
Overall, I felt the story had some strange pacing. Sometimes it felt like things were going to fast, and other times the story seemed to drag. I felt like this story was missing some depth and character development that would normally make the characters feel multidimensional.
This story kind of gave me Charmed vibes, which is great for the Halloween season. And I honestly could have done without the Insta-Love vibes that her and Edison gave me. I feel like this story was very so-so, and that there are better & funny Halloween reads to pick. Not my favorite, but there were for sure things I enjoyed about the story. 3⭐s

I struggled with this one. So, my review for it is rather late. I enjoyed previous books I read by this author but this one wasn't working for me. I would still recommend it, especially for those looking for books to read during the spooky season.

I love stories about Witches — both real and fantastical representations thereof — so when I heard about Witches Get Stuff Done, I was really hoping to enjoy it. Sadly, I found that I could not get into this particular story. I didn’t resonate with any of the characters, or the story, and I couldn’t tell you much about it once I’d finished. Obviously not meant for me.

I received an e-ARC from the publisher, Sourcebooks Casablanca, through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was a new author for me and I really enjoyed this magical romance! I thought the story was so fun, unique, and spooky cute! I really enjoyed the characters too! Riley has come to town and has inherited a house from her aunt. But there are ghosts attached to the antiques in there! She’s gets the help of Alice, Caroline, and Edison to help keep them from getting out of control. Riley felt a connection toward Alice and Caroline too. I liked the witchy vibes and magic in the mix of the story. The romance was sweet too! I’m looking forward to the next one in the series!

I am SO glad I gave this one a chance! I normally don’t read books considered ‘paranormal romance’ - so I usually just skip over them. However, something told me to pick this one up and give it a try, and I am glad I did! Ghosts and witches are part of the story, but it is set in the real, modern world. There is a little romance, some mystery, but mostly it is about a young woman who has found herself (mostly) alone and unsettled in the world, and she is looking to find her place, her ‘thing.’

It was an amusing read that kept me clamoring for more, and I am sure it is going to be part of a series, with some of the unresolved plot lines. I can’t wait to read the next one!

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley, but all opinions are my own.

great book and loved the mystery through out the book. I loved the characters and how they grew through all of their adventures. I enjoyed this book and this author and will check them out again add them to my reading pile.

Nothing groundbreaking, but certainly a cozy Fall romance. If you're a fellow librarian, you will enjoy a librarian love interest.

I've read so many Molly harper books, I don't know what happened with this one. I feel like too much plot was stuffed inside a sassy paranormal rom-com. There were just layers on layers of things that kept getting introduced and I felt like it took too long to get started

I love a good witch story, best of fall reads and Harper always delivers. The ghosts in the story were my favorite and I loved the small island off Michigan. I wonder if there was an island that inspired her because I really want to go there. Her story made you feel like you were right there with the main characters. This story had me laughing and not wanting it to end. I wanted more of Riley and Edison, and all their adventures.

Riley is in Starfall Point and once she sits foot on the ground, she can feel the magic all around her. But only with her late aunts' journals and a live in ghost butler to instruct her on all things witchy, she seeks out help of the island coven for sisterhood and support. But in all this she does not expect to fall for the so handsome head librarian.

She must save her aunt's house and help all the ghosts that or bind to it, so she will need all the help she can get including devilish handsome librarian.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for a copy of this book for my honest review.

This is a paranormal romance and mystery with a fascinating cast of characters, many of them ghosts.
Riley Everett has had a series of jobs that never felt right. When her aunt dies,Riley inherits her house on an island in Michigan called Starfall Point. When she gets to the island, she finds out that her aunt was a recluse, and when she gets to the house, the ghost butler explains what her aunt did. Riley has inherited the job along with the house. Apparently, she comes from a long line of witches that help protect the living. How this happened and why she never knew about it are questions Riley wants answered.

At the same time, Riley meets Edison, the town librarian who has always wanted to get into her aunt’s house.
She and Edison become close as Riley researchers the town history and gets used to the house and its residents.

I really liked the romance/mystery combo, 4 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed as in this review are completely my own.

This is a fun romance about a woman who gets contacted by an aunt she never knew to pick up the family legacy. When Riley reaches Starfall Point, her powers as a witch are activated, and she learns so much about her maternal family that she never knew. It's an interesting and entertaining story, all while she juggles her budding romance with the librarian she sparred with on her way to the island.

This was such a fun read and I look forward to seeing where the series goes! It felt like a blend of the TV shows “Ghosts” and “Charmed” in the best possible way. There are so many fun characters and the ending felt like it gave some resolution while leaving the door open to future stories.

This was so fun! I hadn’t remembered the synopsis and didn’t review it before I started reading, so I didn’t realize that there were going to be ghosties at the center! What a great way to start October. I personally wouldn’t call this a romance because I don’t feel the romance was the primary focus of the book. It was more about Riley connecting to her family and history, learning about the house and the ghosts that she’s not the caretaker of, and meeting and forming her coven. That said, Riley and Edison did have sex for the first time in the public library after hours, and what’s more romantic than that? I really enjoyed all of the characters, and have a particular soft spot for Riley, a sarcastic girlie after my own heart. The pacing was a litle weird, and the passage of time and transitions were a bit rough. But I really liked the writing style. Just a delight to read, and I can’t wait to experience more stories in the Starfall world.

Riley’s mother dies suddenly and she is summoned by her aunt to come to Starfall Point. She goes to Starfall Point to learn about her mother’s family. Riley learns she is to be the caretaker of the family home, Shaddow House. She also learns of the family’s magical powers. Edison is the town librarian who has tried to find out the secrets of Shaddow House.

It’s a light mystery/rom com for spooky season! Autumn and Practical Magic vibes!

Thanks Sourcebooks, Net Galley, and Molly Harper for the ARC!

This is a very cute and cozy paranormal romance set on a small island town. When Riley inherits a haunted estate she unintentionally finds herself a girl hang/coven to help her unravel the mysteries of the ghosts in her family's home while navigating a relationship with Edison. It was a highly enjoyable read.

This is a perfect book to read for Halloween. Cute characters, including ghosts, and a fun setting with a bit of whimsy. Fans of small town stories will also enjoy the setting of this fantastical tale.

I once again had so much fun with a Molly Harper book. The banter was sharp, witty, and flirty - a perfect combination. Having just recently visited Michigan for the first time myself, I was super excited to dive into this novel. The setting makes me want to go back for a visit. I loved Edison and Riley’s chemistry, even if the instalove was a bit too instantaneous for me (I trend towards slow burn). I will say that my one reservation that I cannot fully get over is the time lapses. Instalove I can accept, but not understanding how much time was passing was very confusing. It felt like the beginning of summer then it seemed like all of a sudden it was the near end of summer, but it was all in the same week in the end when they had their date and the girls went to the shop and confronted the sheers’ ghost. Overall it was CONFUSING but I still enjoyed it. I’m hoping that was something that was corrected before the final print version. Other than that, this book was such a fun read that I hardly put it down and finished it in a night. I love the set up for more novels and I look forward to the developing friendship of the trio of women. I especially like their interactions and banter towards the end because it feels very authentically like a true good friendship that makes every individual into a person more themself than before. A true sense of growth. I also can’t wait for more ghost butler antics by Plover because he is such a fuddyduddy, which makes his moments of humor all the more satisfying.
