I Voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced copy of this book. All Thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is the first book in the new Starfall points series. It ends on a mid cliffhanger and I am excited for book 2.

Thank you to Sourcebooks Casablanca for my review copy!
This was a fun, quick witchy romcom - perfect for spooky season if you don’t like being scared! The witchy worldbuilding is pretty simple, and it was fun to learn about the mystery along with the main character, Riley.
I didn’t really understand why the couple liked each other, other than both finding each other attractive. But I was glad they did!
The real chemistry was between Riley and her friends, and I hope we have future books starring them (hopefully falling in love with each other)!

This was my first Molly Harper, and while I'm always on the lookout for good paranormal rom-coms, this didn't quite hit the mark for me. Not the book's fault at all, the writing style just doesn't work 100% for me.

I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.

I absolutely loved this whimsical novel. This novel is a great introduction to the world of Starfall Point, it is full of paranormal mystery and suspense.
Our FMC Riley moves to Starfall Point to be with her Aunt, but her aunt unexpectedly passes away before they meet. Riley then is left to discover that she is the new custodian of a haunted and magical house. The house takes ownership of Riley with a blood initiation, and over time Riley discovers she has magical powers and her new employment revolves around ghosts.
This has plenty of laugh out loud moments mainly from the mischievous paranormal residents. Whilst learning to live with her new magical abilities, Riley befriends Alice and Caroline which turns out to be her new coven.
She finds love with the lovable librarian Edison, but even this is not “smooth sailing” (IYKYK).
I really think this is going to be a very enjoyable series and I am looking forward to Book 2

This one was a miss for me and I ended up skimming to the end. The promise of the premise was so great but it just didn't come together. I didn't like Riley, the pacing was off, the romance happened way too fast, it just wasn't for me.

This witchy rom-com had a lot going on, but struggled to pull all the threads together. Riley Everett, after the sudden loss of her mother, is summoned to the island of Starfall Point, MI, by her estranged aunt, to learn more about her mother's family, which was kept secret from her all her life. She gets off on the wrong foot, quite literally, with the island's librarian, Edison Held, on the ferry ride over. Once on the island, instead of finding her aunt, she is given the bad news that she has passed away instead, and was named as her replacement as caretaker of the mysterious home she dwelled in. Upon entering the home, which Edison has long been trying to access, she learns from ghostly butler Plover the true nature of her family and their magical abilities. I love a witchy rom-com, but this one felt like a lot of scene setting for future books in this series, rather than focusing on one story for this book. It was hard to keep all the connections straight of the warring island families, their motives, and ghostly backstories. The romance between Riley and Everett felt forced, and there was no real chemistry between them. The book felt more like a cozy mystery than a rom-com, or perhaps was trying to do both, but ended up succeeding at neither. My favorite characters were the island itself, which set a cozy scene, and Plover the butler, who I imagined as a Mr. Carson type out of Downton Abbey. It was definitely the type of first in series where I can tell I will enjoy the consequent stories better, now that the scene has been set, so I'm willing to read one more to give it a fair shot.

I absolutely loved this book. Set on an island in Michigan the book is full of ghosts and lovable characters. I have never read anything by Molly Harper but I’ll definitely be looking for her other books and I sure hope there will be a sequel to this book.

I really liked the premise for this book, and the beginning started out great, but it fizzled after a bit. The focus was much more on the ghosts than the witches; Riley finding out she was a witch/had powers/learning to use them was glossed over too quickly for my taste, and the love story was out of nowhere. There was no build up of chemistry whatsoever. The side characters weren't fleshed out enough either.

Cute paranormal romcom!
- paranormal romcom

- ghosts!
- laugh out loud moments
- cute witty banter
- close proximity
Very fun read! Enjoyed this author and totally will look out for their work in the future.

I'm a fan of Molly Harper's books but unfortunately, Witches Get Stuff Done, the 1st in a new series Starfall Point, just didn't work for me. Don't get me wrong, it had its fun moments and I enjoyed the setting, the paranormal witchiness, and the characters-although they could really do with a lot more fleshing out.
I know this is a romcom, but I read many books in that genre and something about this one felt lacking: it could have been because the book felt rushed. Things happen that aren't really delved into, so it's almost as if the reader is supposed to just guess that time has passed so quickly--I was shocked in one scene to realize that 5 months had passed in the book! It felt like nothing of any consequence had happened 😕
The book ended on a cliffhanger so it will be interesting to see what happens next although ,to be honest, I'm not that invested in the story and need to decide whether to continue spending time reading it.

Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebook Landmark for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

Thank you so much for letting me read this book. I had so much fun diving in to an other story of Molly Harper. And this one has some awesome ghost in it.

Witches Get Stuff Done was such a fun and magical witchy rom com.
From the start of the book and the meet cute between Riley and Edison I knew this was going to be a fun read. This is a witchy, small-town romance, opposites attract story with found family, ghosts and a cliffhanger!
The history of the characters family was well developed and I thought it was very unique. The romance was a bit quick and obvious but definitely cute. The found family dynamic was really well done and the ghosts had interesting personalities.
I really enjoyed this book and I'm excited to read the next one.
Thank you Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley for my e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.

There were a lot of funny parts in this book but overall this book just didn't work for me... I lost my interest very fast and struggled a lot to keep going and finish it... The plot was not very interesting.
Thank you netgalley for the advanced copy in, exchange for an honest review.

I love Molly Harper’s writing even if this particular story gave off more cozy mystery vibes than paranormal romance. I hope this isn’t the last we hear about Starfall Point!
Thanks to Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley for my chance to review.

Witches Get Stuff Done was cute and fun... until about halfway, that's when the story started to feel chaotic and haphazardly thrown together. It felt like no depth or thought was put into it, which bummed me out because I adored it until that point. The second half just ruined it for me.

I’ve read and enjoyed a few of the author’s other works, but unfortunately, this one didn’t work for me.
To start, I did enjoy the premise of the town and all the characters we get introduced to! This felt like a true Molly Harper world, and I liked it! I liked Riley’s friends and the development of their relationship and characters. Really, the side characters stole the show here!
As for the what I didn’t like, I never fully felt the romantic connection between the two MCs and the snark/banter between the two wasn’t very enjoyable to me. I also felt like the main characters as individuals fell a bit flat.
All this being said, I am curious to see what more the author has in store for this world. I’d be interested in reading more stories set in Starfall Point.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the complimentary arc.

I wanted so badly to love this book but it felt like there was too many story lines present in a 300 page book. I understood why a dual POV was used but once the FMC and the MMC get together the rest of the romance storyline almost seems to take away from the more interesting found family/magical mystery story lines. While I liked the two leads I found the found family aspect to be so much more interesting. I wish more time was devoted to that storyline and seeing Riley and her friends learn how to use their magic instead of being told things had happened. I will probably read the sequel when it comes out because the mystery element really made me interested in wanting to know what is going on. But overall I was left feeling like I wanted so much more out of this book.
A 2.5 rounded up to a 3

This book was disappointing, I felt like none of the parts were developed. I didn't like the storyline and the characters. The only thing good was that I was able to finish the book.

I was so intrigued by the overall concept of this book, but unfortunately, I don't think it was well executed. I assume it was going for an enemies-to-lovers storyline (because of the disastrous meet-cute at the beginning), but to be honest I was confused. There was no build up whatsoever to the romance--one moment it didn't exist and then all of a sudden the characters were in a relationship (and then just as quickly they had what felt like an extremely random and for no reason fight and broke up). I was also constantly left confused because of how much seemed to be taking place off-page which simultaneously left me annoyed because it didn't seem like much was happening on-page. I found myself bored and all the things I kept expecting to happen or be explored never were. All of a sudden months would pass but it didn't feel like we were any closer to knowing more about the characters or their histories or their burgeoning friendships/relationships or even about Shaddow House itself.
