Sweet and Simple with a touch of emotion. There was nothing extraordinary about this book. I liked both Charles and Elizabeth. I wish we could have seen more of their relationships with their family’s (Alice excluded). I also wish we could have gotten a bigger glimpse into their past and the history they have together. If you like your historical romances to have a smart heroine and a birdwatching hero then this is the book for you.

This book is a great addition to the Blue Orchard Society books. It is a great romance about Elizabeth trying to keep her school for underprivileged girls open in a . Lord, who is trying to help his sister. If you would enjoy historical romances with strong, female heroines in this book is for you.

Oh how I love this series! I am always filled with joy for these women who find themselves and their true loves in a beautifully fulfilling way! Each of these Orchid Society Ladies teach that life can be lived in the way you want and also serving others! Being part of a family who loves you by blood or not! Loved it! These characters were well written and those tender moments shared with the H and h were so lovely! Enjoy!

I didn’t realize this was the fourth book in a series. I will definitely go back and read the first three! Thank you to .NetGalley and the publisher for this great read.

Lord Charles Chatsworth is a notorious rake and Elizabeth Miller wants nothing to do with him or his charming smile. Unfortunately, their paths collide once again when Elizabeth requires funding for her school and Charles is happy to oblige assuming that she will tutor a relative under his care. As they spend more time together will she discover there’s more to him than she knew? Or will her assumptions prove correct?

I liked the story and the character development. I wish we would have seen a little more chemistry between Charles and Elizabeth. I like how they both had their own passions and hobbies. I think Elizabeth’s distrust of men should have gotten a little bit better of an explanation.

I am loving the Blue Orchid Society books. Elizabeth caught my attention fro the first book. I was excited to read her story. I love how the women in these books are strong characters while still being gentle and caring. I really enjoyed reading this book and would highly recommend it.

a good, solid book, a lovely main h, H, also the few side characters were very nicely done

i had some issues with
-first kiss seemed very abrupt, like somehow there was a looking at the lips or smth missing
-Lady Kathryn's wish for attention from her older brother comes a little out of nothing... maybe put that in for him not to notice when we first meet her
-and the final 2 chapters felt rushed... how did he go from the thoughtful person who was like i wanna gain her trust to directly asking her to marry him?

My first book from this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Elizabeth Miller is the poor relation of her aunt and uncle who have shown her love and care and supported her in her various endeavours - including opening a school for girls in the poor area of London. Elizabeth thrives in her new role which gives her the opportunity to educate the poor and underprivileged and give them better lives.

Elizabeth has known Charles and his family all her life and when Charles discovers a half-sister living in poverty, he takes it upon himself to bring her to his home and to give her a better life. The fact that she speaks with a terrible northern accent, motivates Charles to seek assistance from Elizabeth to help his half-sister speak with a more refined accent and be more comfortable moving about in society with her other siblings who were born into a life of privilege.

It is during this period when Charles and Elizabeth are thrown together that their love and respect for each other continues to grow, and they fall in love. I highly recommend it.

Thanks to NetGalley and Covenant Communications for an ARC of this wonderful read.

Another completely charming addition to the Blue Orchid Society series. The romance blooms at just the right pace, tension coiling and unfurling. Elizabeth and Charles are a lovely match, and I look forward to hearing about them again in the next book.

Educating Elizabeth by Jennifer Moore was a relaxing great read! I love books set in England and the society rules that existed back in the day. The author did a very good job of portraying the different social classes and neighborhoods that many of society grew up in. It also told of the struggles that those had when they tried to associate with each other. The story was a touching and moving story. I loved the characters! The bird watching was an interesting addition to the story that reminded you of living in Victorian Europe. Would definitely recommend the book to others!!! Thank you!

This story is exciting and garnished with bursts of good humor, which are always a hit with me. I like that it touches on social issues such as the disparity between the rich and poor but with some caring persons in the form of the main character Miss Elizabeth Miller, a most warm-hearted teacher. Throw in the polarity between her and Lord Charles Chatsworth and you'll be kept well entertained; at least in my opinion. There are also tender moments so that you may be laughting at one moment and weeping tears the next.

I like that this book has spine. It is no airy romance but one with grit and fortitude especially in promoting girls and women and their abilities, keeping in mind the late-ish 1800's time frame setting. All in all, a very clean and satisfying read!

I give this book a 4-Star rating.

Educating Elizabeth is the latest addition to Jennifer Moore’s The Blue Orchard Society. I recently read Healing Hazel, and I loved Elizabeth’s book just as much as Hazel’s. It was so good.

Miss Elizabeth Miller occupies a unique place in between the upper classes of society and the poor of the lower class. She uses her experiences and her connections to establish a school for girls of the lower class. Her path crosses with Lord Charles Chatsworth when he needs her expertise to tutor his younger sister. As their relationship develops, the demands and expectations of society try to come between them. The story is full of friendship, family, belief in oneself, belief in others, romance, and sweet kisses.

Elizabeth was a wonderful character. Her character arc was so well written. She is both strong and vulnerable while being kind and giving to others. I loved how Charles challenged Elizabeth as much as he challenged her. I loved how their relationship developed throughout the book.

Charles was so good. He was a polished flirt on the outside, but he was a strong man who cared about his family and inheritance on the inside. He epitomized my favorite historical romance leading man! I loved all his interactions with Elizabeth, especially his thoughts. They were so good!

I loved the romance in this book, but I also loved the strong relationships among the members of The Blue Orchard Society. The friendship between Elizabeth, Hazel, Dahlia, Sophie, and Vivian reminded me of the friendships I have in real life. I loved how supportive and accepting they are of each other.

I adored this book. I now need to go back to read Sophie’s book and Vivian’s book. This book is book 4 in the series, but you don’t need to read the books in order. This book releases on September 13th.

Thank you to Jennifer Moore, Covenant Communications, and NetGalley for the complimentary copy.

This is the first book I have read in the Blue Orchid Society series. I could extrapolate a little of the other character's stories into giving me some understanding of Elizabeth's story, but I was at a little disadvantage even though this is billed as a 'stand-alone'. The title says it all for me. Elizabeth's pre-judgements were premature, and the heart of Lord Chatsworth needed all of Elizabeth's humility in order for his true self to be revealed. There is a great lesson for me in 'Educating Elizabeth' that I think would be valuable for all.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

It's not often I'm sad when a book from this genre comes to an end. Usually the expected has happened and while it's been an enjoyable journey to get there, I'm happy to see it concluded. This book though, had me a little sad. I enjoyed the characters. I wanted to stick with them for another adventure. Jennifer Moore has done a good job of creating characters who are both likeable and have enough dimension to be believable. Definitely a worthy read!

It is always fun to meet up with the Blue Orchid Society! These young women want to change their lives and lives of those around them.

Elizabeth is no exception! She has started the school she dreamed of, a school for girls who would not have the opportunity to learn and no way to raise their prospects in life. But life is funny, and nothing good comes without it's trials.

We have met Lord Chatsworth before, he is a playboy, and not on Elizabeth's list of friends. But he has a need, a half sister who needs some tutoring and Elizabeth is perfect for the job.

Will spending time together, being put in vulnerable situations change their relationship? Can she keep her school afloat even with others trying to bring it down?

This is a good story, a reminder not to judge a book by its cover, and to remember we don't know all that is happening in some one else's life.

I've been following this series since the beginning and I really liked it! A group of young lady friends with goals and practical ideas, trying to better themselves and the world around them.

This is Elizabeth's story. She's very passionate about education and she runs a school for underprivileged girls. Unfortunately, the costs of running keep climbing and she's forced to turn to Charles, who in turn asks her to help him with his half sisters.

I liked the main characters and how they balanced each other, and the little sister was also a great addition to the story, as were the other secondary characters and the political intrigue.

Looking forward to the next book in the series.

I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

I have absolutely loved all the Blue Orchid Society books so far, and this was no different! A thoroughly enjoyable read, everything about this book was exactly what I was hoping for. Elizabeth wants her school to thrive, but keeps running into problems that seem suspicious. Charles is trying to do right by the little girl living in his home, but is also running into struggles from within his own family. Charles approaches Elizabeth for help, even though she has always thought poorly of his reputation- I loved watching her opinion slowly change!

This was a great love story with two very likable characters at the forefront. It was everything I was looking for in a summer read- beautifully written, an easy read, great character growth, and a touching love story. I would definitely recommend this (and the rest of the series) to anyone who loves a good period romance that touches on political and social issues of the day.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion and feedback.

Oh my word, I have absolutely loved every book in the Blue Orchid Society series and Elizabeth's story is the perfect addition! Absolutely loved every bit of it.

Elizabeth would do anything to keep her school for girls open...including entering into a business arrangement with the flirtatious Lord Charles Chatsworth.

Charles is not as carefree and shallow as society believes him to be though, and as he and Elizabeth spend time together, they find kindred spirits in each other and sparks begin to fly.

But there are bigger forces against them than either of them first realize and their efforts may not be enough to save the school...or their newly discovered feelings.

What to Love:
Strong, Intelligent Heroine
Misunderstood hero
Forced Proximity
Dual POV
Elizabeth's character growth
That first scene
Bird watching
The first kiss!!!
Witty banter and great chemistry
Ride-or-die female friends

This was not only a fun and entertaining story, but it had some beautiful and profound truths about our worth not being determined by where we come from or our status in society. I love how much Elizabeth could see of herself in young Alice.

The genuine connection between Charles and Elizabeth was absolutely delightful. Theirs was a heart tripping, swoony romance that left me sighing in happiness.

LOVED seeing the other Blue Orchid Society ladies (and their SO) but even though this is the fourth book in the series, it can easily be read as a standalone.

The whole series is charming and imaginative and I am a devoted fan. Cannot wait for Dahlia's story in the fifth and final book!

I received a complimentary copy but a positive review was not required.

Jennifer Moore delights readers with "Educating Elizabeth", the fourth installment of her Blue Orchid Society series. This one features Elizabeth Miller, another intelligent and independent Victorian heroine who is determined to educate disadvantaged girls in London. Her unlikely benefactor in her endeavor is Charles Seaton, Lord Chatsworth.

Childhood acquaintances, Elizabeth and Charles meet again under unusual circumstances. Elizabeth is mortified, Charles makes jokes, and the situation is highly amusing. This unlikely couple engages in clever, witty banter. Lord Chatsworth's devotion to his little sister is touching, and his birdwatching hobby was singular. The author has done her research here, too (red-headed shrike, indeed). The Victorian Egyptian fad plays a role as well.

Jennifer Moore's prose is lovely and evocative. As in the previous installments, the alliterative title (if one counts "Inventing Vivian") works two ways. Characters are well-drawn, and this tale is clean. This is technically a stand-alone novel, although I prefer to read series in order, and have done so here. Characters in the previous books appear, and their backstories enhance THIS one. I greatly look forward to Dahlia Lancaster's story. There is a potential love interest for her, and how will Moore handle Lord Ruben and Lady Lorene?

Thanks to NetGalley and Covenant Communications for an ARC of this wonderful read.
