This one was unfortunately a dnf for me. I found the characters to be missing something and I just couldn’t put my finger on what it was. I wish I could give this book a better review.
Not for me. I thought this sounded really good and intriguing but once I started reading I quickly realized it was not for me
[Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the ebook. This review is my honest opinion but just another opinion, you should read this book and judge it by yourself]
Spicy, rushed and sadly not for me. I think there are too many plots and I didn't know which one focus in. MC felt weak and shallow, I couldn't feel their love, seemed more like an obsession to me.
The writing is good, the sex is great but I didn't like the D/s relationship, it doesn't add anything to plot or characters.
At least I was enterteined and I read it fast
The Keeper is a spicy, sports romance novel set in the English countryside. It was a bit intense and insta-love isn't my favorite trope but it was pretty entertaining.
thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy of The Keeper. This was an interesting spin on the romance novel and I enjoyed it. I will have to get this for my book shop.
This was a wildy spicy read and not quite my cup of tea. It was a bit slow moving and the characters weren't quite the type I connect with.
This book was a little gem of surprise, that I ended up loving and enjoying so so much. It was such a ride. It was a very entertaining sports romance but there is also a little mystery that needs to be solved. The MCs were chefs kiss entertaining. But that cliffhanger, was plain brutal. I can’t wait enough for the next one already!!
This book was so good. I could not put this book down. The romance. And how could you not forget about Xavier chef kiss. Thank you NetGalley and Couture Writer LLC for this ARC.
I loved this. I couldn't get enough of Xavier! Whew, I can't stop thinking about him! Absolutely stunning and a top 10 read for me this year.
I just reviewed The Keeper by Lynn Montagano. #TheKeeper #NetGalley

This was not quite the story I was expecting! It was fast-paced but much spicier than the description let on. It wasn't my cup of tea, but for readers who like bdsm, etc, you may want to check this out.
Thank you Net Galley and Couture Writer LLC for this ARC. 🤍
I was disappointed w this one. Idk why? I thought the characters were very shallow. The instant love between main characters Victoria and Xavier was cringy for me. The spice way good, really good. But the rest was a flop for me.
The Keeper has a romance but there is also a mystery to be solved which makes it a very different type of sports romance plus they have some very interesting friends. I was instantly drawn into Xavier and Tori’s world, and couldn’t read their story fast enough. Their connection is instant, and it doesn’t take long for sparks to fly. I really enjoyed seeing their relationship begin as a one night stand and develop into so much more. It all weaves together perfectly, and wrapped up with a sweet ending. Definitely recommend!
First off, I was not expecting the book I read based off the description. Yes it was a soccer romance book but there were several heavy subjects that I wasn’t aware of. I really hope the author will add a TW in the description or at the beginning of the book for future readers. Honestly, the plot started out good but got weirder and weirder as it went on. To the point where I couldn’t get into the story because of how completely unbelievable it was. I’m still irritated about the last 50 or so pages and how ridiculous the plot was. Also, I was not expecting a bdsm relationship and think that should be made a little more clear to readers before they decide to read this book. Overall it was a good book but not sure if I’ll continue the series.

This book was so much more than I expected it to be. I loved watching Xavier and Victoria’s story unfold. Very spicy during some moments. Definitely kept me interested, once I started I could not stop. Can’t wait for the next in the seriesb
This review is hard to write. I really enjoyed the suspense of learning what happened to Tory's twin sister and her left behind diary entries. I wanted to see more of that aspect of the book fleshed out and maybe it will in the next one. The relationship between Xavier and Tory evolved quickly and the sex scenes are smokin' but I wanted more connection between the two. I'll read the next one just for the mystery.
This book wasn't for me (too explicit for my taste), but I'm sure others will love it. The writing itself was quite good, but I DNF reasonably early into the story as it wasn't appealing for me personally.
Thank you to Couture Writer and NetGalley for an ARC of this book.
This book is a steamy sports romance, but it’s also so much more!!! I was instantly drawn into Xavier and Tori’s world, and couldn’t read their story fast enough. And the spice was just WOW!!
After a rare meeting on the side of the road Tori, and Xavier continue to keep running into each other. Tori works for the New York Legends, a football team. And Xavier is a goalkeeper for an English soccer team. (In my opinion truly the best of both worlds reading about life in Manhattan, as well as London and the English countryside).
Their connection is instant, and it doesn’t take long for sparks to fly. I really enjoyed seeing their relationship begin as a one night stand and develop into so much more. They were truly meant to end up together. As they’re trying to navigate their relationship, Tori is also working to figure out why her twin sister committed suicide so many years before.
It all weaves together perfectly, and wrapped up with a sweet ending. I cannot wait for book 2, and I’m hoping we get more Xavier and Tori, but also Bennet and Hannah’s story!!
If you’re looking for a spicy new romance, this is IT!!!
Thanks for the ARC, I truly enjoyed the opportunity to read this book.
TW: Suicide, SA, grief
I can't lie, this wasn't so great. I gave it two stars just because it IS well written, it had a lot of potential and the author clearly knows her way with words. BUT it doesn't fix everything, like the instant love/relationship with never any tension in it. Also, if you remove all the smut, the book would be about 50 pages long. Not my cup of tea but I'm sure others would enjoy, as it is, again, very well written. The love interest, Xavier, feels super shallow, I can't find him any personality apart from being angry and loving his girl.
The sister storyline and the diary entries were a great addition, I loved those parts. I would love to have storylines like these in more romance novels, it adds some depth and suspens. Cool idea.
+ unresolved plotline at the end
I’ll start by saying thank you to NetGalley and Couture Writer LLC, for an advanced copy of this book!

It’s not very often that I’m intrigued in the first 10 pages of a book, but this one did that for me! It sucked me in, and I felt like I had to keep reading. I didn’t want to put it down. Dual POV, it’s spicy, chapters that aren’t too long. The main characters are perfect, and have a great story. I loved this book. I’m excited that there are more coming, there are so many unanswered questions!
Not your usual sports romance!
Victoria Chase stayed away from relationship with football players as the media relations director for the New York Legends but meeting Xavier Maddox while dealing with family issues might be changing her thoughts about athletes. Xavier didn’t play American football, he was the keeper for Royal City Athletic in London and he might be the perfect one night stand before she returns home.
The Keeper is not a one night stand story but Victoria dealing with the death of her twin Charlotte, and the mystery about why she committed suicide after something happened the last time the family was in England at the cottage before everything changed.
The Keeper has a romance but there is also a mystery to be solved which makes it a very different type of sports romance plus they have some very interesting friends.
