This was an ARC :) I tried to give this book a chance, but 40% I had to unfortunately DNF this. Although I appreciate the New Zealand and Turkish Culture, this story line was not it. I did give 2 stars because there were cute moments here and there in the book which I enjoyed very much. Everything just happened WAY to fast what felt like in the first chapter. Plus the guy gave me straight red flags and I usually cheer them on to change and grovel for forgiveness or whatnot, but it was just giving me the creeps and I wasn't into that. Overall, this is just my opinion and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, what I don't like may not be the case for anyone else so I do suggest reading this and form your own because who knows, you may end up liking it.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This was such fun and adorable fake dating romance book! The tropes in this book are amazing with fake dating, celebrity romance, great banter, a lot of good chemistry and sone spice sprinkled in. This was my first book that I have read from this author and it certainly won’t be the last. I loved Aria and Cem’s romance and thought they were perfect for each other. The story was so unique and the plot was so good. I loved reading about the different cultures and being d as blue to learn some Turkish words that the author included in the glossary. In the end this was such a good, fun and quick read that kept me entertained from start to finish.
I had fun reading this book! The tropes of this book are the thing that drew me in, fake dating and celebrity boyfriend. I wasn't at all familiar with Turkish television or the celebrity culture that comes along with it, so I think in some ways the book was a bit of a culture shock to me. While the overarching plot was cute, the execution lacked in some regards for me, primarily in the timeline, with only a couple of weeks passing from start to finish, I think it felt rushed. The other major issue I had was the portrayal of secondary and other characters, for example Burcu and Felix who didn't really seem to have any redeeming qualities at all, despite us not meeting them until very close to the end of the book. A lot of the dialogue was not as believable to me as it could have been, but I did highlight a number of places that I thought were cute and/of funny, so I did enjoy it over all. I had a soft spot for Emir, though I did not connect as much with Aria or Cem there wasn't any glaring issues with them, I just found myself not able to dial in a true connection, and that lead to me not being able to root for them as vehemently as I'd like to root for a couple in any given romance I read.
I think at the end of the day, while the story wasn't for me, personally it's a really cute book, with some fun themes and tropes explored in a unique and unexpected setting from the romance books I typically read!
The premise is interesting, especially if you are a fan of Turkish dizi like me. It also contains fake dating and insta-love tropes. Unfortunately, I found the story unengaging, mainly because of the two protagonists, who are flat and unrealistic. I also found Cem's constant Burcu-Aria comparisons absolutely unpleasant, as he seemed to be with Aria only because of her resemblance to Burcu and for no other reason.
I thought we would get some enemies to lovers pretending to be fake lovers in this book but I didn't feel like we got that. And I got to 15% before I thought I actually don't care how this book goes because there is nothing keeping me engaged. Where's the plot point the issue. Are you telling me that we have to get into the book by 20% before we get to the fake dating? I wouldn't have minded it if the book made sense but maybe its me but I found the beginning to be quite confusing and was like is the right book I requested.
Ultimately I think what made me DNF it was the MMC who was rude, arrogant, entitled and honestly made my skin crawl!

Rating: 3 / 5
When I read the synopsis for this book, I was immediately interested. While I feel think this book had a good bones, it’s delivery fell a bit short for me.
I really liked Aria’s personality but I struggled to understand her apprehension. She had even said herself, she couldn’t really validate it her worries. Her fear seemed to control her, but at the same time she always followed through with her plans so it felt like a given that she’d always “give in”. I also hated the way her body was so negatively compared to her doppelgänger. I knew the importance of her looking like Burcu but why couldn’t the wardrobe artist just go up a size or two to make her comfortable? I personally related to her fears but the way it was handled didn’t do it for me.
I felt pretty neutral about Cem. At first, I thought I wouldn’t like him but you could truly tell he was trying to change for the better. I think the hardest part of this book for me was the “insta-love” as I like slow burn. The fact that the two female mc’s are identical is also kind of weird since Cem is romantically attracted to both of them, even before he really got to know Aria’s personality. His gaze towards Aria felt a bit creepy at times but I guess she was the same way.
Overall, if you’re into a quicker paced, slightly spicy book, it would be perfect for you. The description of the different locations was also very well done!
This book’s unique premise and gorgeous cover drew me in, but unfortunately, this book didn’t work for me. The heroine, Aria, is an aspiring actress working as a location scout, and Cem is a famous actor laying low after some bad press. The leads meet, and Cem is immediately interested in Aria because she looks like none other than his former costar… who he was also in love with.
Overall, the insta-love between the leads and the hero’s refusal to respect boundaries made this a difficult read for me.

Ok, so I enjoyed a lot more than originally anticipated.
My Lucky Star by Enni Amanda is the perfect romcom that I simply couldn’t get enough of and read it in one day.
I had the absolute best time reading it and never once did I lose interest in the book.
The author did a great job painting the setting, so it was easy for me to visualize the scene played out before me.
A great story told in an amusing and authentic way.
I enjoyed every second reading this book.
I loved the characters; who are real and likeable.
I really liked the chemistry between Aria and Cem.
A wonderful spicy, slow-burn romcom that exceeded all my expectations.

My lucky star by Enni Amanda just got released and I’m so happy to have been able to read it already! It’s a dual pov where we follow Cem and Aria. Aria is from a small town in new Zeeland and Cem is a very famous Turkish actor. After a scandal Cem is sent to new Zeeland where he meets Aria who looks just like his co star, they start to fake date to clear his record! Cem is definitely one of my new favorite book boyfriends!
I received this book as an eARC on NetGalley and I must say that this book was a really fun read. I found it to be fast paced, cute and steamy. The character development in this book is really well done. I loved that I got to learn Turkish words while reading a fun rom-com!
I really enjoyed the writing style and the banter between Aria and Cem.
I think the fake dating trope was well done.
All in all this book was really cute and fun and I would recommend this to anyone who wants a funny, cute and quick read!
Meet Aria. She has wanted to be an actress her whole life but has realized that is not in the cards for her. So, she decides to move back home to Napier in New Zealand to live a safe life and possible marry her parent's next-door neighbor who they keep pushing on her. She now works for a company that is trying to bring larger productions to New Zealand and is working on finding a location for a movie.
Meet Cem. A Turkish actor who has been shunned by his agent (also his brother) to the other side of the world to hide from a mistake that he has made until his fans and the media can move on. Cem's brother has rented out a hotel for him for a month. This hotel happens to be the hotel that Aria discovers to present to a company about shooting a film here. They have instant attraction that is borderline weird on Cem's part. Cem realizes that she is a doppelganger for his old costar Burcu. She was his counterpart in a Turkish romance series. He had feelings for her. Things happened and then she ghosted him and everyone. She has been missing in action for 3 years.
Cem and his brother end up concocting a plan for Aria to fake date Cem acting as Burcu to help build his reputation back up. All is well and then they both catch feelings for each other. Aria has been hurt and let down so many times that she is scared to open up. What will happen when she does?
This book was disappointing to me. What I liked about this book was the description of the different cultures and the different locations the book is set in. I did not like the weird immediate attraction love situation with Cem and Aria. Aria was a little annoying with how much she went back and forth in her head about wanting Cem and then not, and Cem was borderline creepy with how open he was about wanting Aria. I had a hard time following how fast everything happened. This whole book takes place in a two-week time frame. I did not feel as invested in these characters as I may have if things had developed a little slower, a little more realistic.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.
It was cute, not my favorite read but I enjoyed it enough.
I can't say it enough but I absolutely adored Cem and Aria!! I had so much fun reading this story. Some of the language barrier moments led to some very cute and funny content. While Cem was a spoiled and pampered actor he was very easy to love. Aria was very down to earth and mellow but she had given up on her dream. When these two find each other the stars align and they just can't deny the attraction and the feelings that start to grow.
By the way did I tell you I absolutely adored Cem and Aria!!

I quite enjoyed this book. Lovely descriptions of the settings and locations. Aria and Cem were interesting - Cem was a bit of a waste of space but he came good in the end. A fun plot with some good twists and turns. My first by this author but I have others of hers to read, With thanks for an e-ARC to read and review.

I'll admit I did not finish this book. Although the story is cute, the writing style was not for me. You should however give it a go and see for yourself. The characters and plot are solid, just not my cup of tea
This book is a cute read with a slow burn, celebrity falls for a small town girl, faking dating, look-a-like storyline. To be completely honest, I wasn't expecting much from this book when I read the summary. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! Cem and Aria have so much chemistry. I love the culture in the book. I would recommend this read for anyone looking for a nice, easy read with travel. I would rate this book: 3.5/5

A sincere thank you to NetGallery and the Publisher for the ARC of this book.
I really tried, I gave it my all but every page I read makes me more bored than the one before. it just feels like there's nothing at stake, the tension was broken too early they're already happy they don't have any issues (apart from starring in a stupid movie) and they're both openly flirting. where's the tension?? when does it get complicated???? I estimate that by 53% the book had had its change to prove its worth, I'm done.
I couldn't stand the guy, he was so weird and rude. for example, he gets mad at HER for not stopping him from kissing her 😐 be serious be so serious sir please
+ compliments her by saying she's "not like the rest"....... we've heard that one before chief
+ A DOG that man is a literal DOG he creeps behind her to sneak a glance at her crotch to see the stain where she was wet 🤢🤢 JAIL he's a dog in heat nothing else
can't leave out the "exotic tongue" and "crunchy hair" 😧 one is borderline problematic and the other is concerning
only things I genuinely appreciated and enjoyed were the New Zealand landscape and Turkish culture🌞
This was such an adorable read! I love a TV/celebrity romance and this had my favorite parts of that trope! Aria and Cem were swoony and fun and I really enjoyed reading about them,
4.5/5 *I was sent this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review*
I had a ton of fun reading this book! Once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. I thought the plot moved along at a good pace and I was entertained by the characters and their stories. I hadn't read any romance books that take place in New Zealand or Turkey, so it was a fun adventure I got to go one with Cem and Aria. Both characters learn and grow about themselves and each other, and it was refreshing to see some of the struggles they both go through. When I reached the end of the book, I wasn't ready to say goodbye to the characters! I will definitely be adding the physical book to my bookshelves when it's released!
I loved this spicy little Rom-Com. I could so see this being a movie. I had such a great time reading this. It left me with a warm feeling through out the book. 5 stars!!
