This is a sequel, so there are spoilers to book one below.
I admit that I didn't realize this was a sequel. I started reading it and the story was so familiar. I recognized names and the two husbands. I had to look it up to make sure I wasn't reading the same one even though I know it couldn't be. Luckily it all worked out for me and I remembered everything from the first book.
There are a lot of points of view in this book. The person we hear from the most is Stacie though. She's back home with her father after having cancer that almost killed her. She has no memories, but her father sits with her and they look through old photos while he tells her about her life. He talks about how she almost got married but wanted more and left for Paris. He wanted her with him, so he seems pretty happy with the covid lockdown. They spend months together with no one else.
The rest of the book covers the aftermath from book one. Kylie is presumed dead and Daan was arrested for it. Fiona had moved in with Mark and the boys. The older son still hated her and believed she was dead. But the youngest believed that he would feel it if she was dead. After Daan contacts them, the boys actually start looking for answers. We gets points of view from both husbands, Oli, Fiona, and the detective. I'm probably forgetting someone.
The book has good pacing and was hard to put down at times. I thought it was a good follow up to a story that never really had a conclusion.
I gave this book 4 stars.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for my earc.

Thanks to @harlequinbooks and @netgalley for this ARC!

Here is my review ⬇️⬇️⬇️
I was so excited to read this new Adele Parks book and I was a bit disappointed ☹️ The book takes place in COVID time and she mentions the pandemic often in her story! I'm trying to forget 2020 and COVID times so that was a big no no for me.
The first 60% was pretty boring and didn't have a lot going on. After the 60%, it started to get more interesting.
Overall, it was an average book for me!

This was a very enjoyable read from Adele Parks. It was twisty and lots of surprises will keep the reader guessing until the last page.

I love Adele Parks and this one did not disappoint! Highly recommend reading the first book in this series before diving into this one. Both books are 5 stars!

This book was not for me. I tried to get into it but there was way to many characters introduced at the start. This book is also a sequel to another book. I feel had I known that my review might have been different.

I had not read Both of you, the prequel to this book.
Another captivating book by Adele Parks! This one was slow going for me, it took me until about 60% to fully get into it. It was fully of mystery, intrigue and keep me guessing until the end.
I received an ARC from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange, for my honest review

Another great book by the amazing Adele Parks! Every time we learn one secret or figure out one missing bit of information, we learn that there's even more left to discover. Such an enjoyable book with characters you'll love to hate! Definitely worth the read!

I really don't like when they don't tell us that a book is a sequel or false within a series... I wasn't familiar with Parks' writing but the premise sounded intriguing. Unfortunately, I felt thrown into the middle of a story from the very beginning. Some of that is probably because it is a sequel but some of it is also because the detectives open the book by announcing everything about their case in a massive info dump, rather than letting the reader get to any of the information about suspects in an organic or developing-plot-line way. The characters were unlikable. The writing style didn't resonate with me at all. This just wasn't for me...

I do wish I'd read the first book in this series even though I enjoyed this one! I was confused by the female characters' names as it's not initially explained that a couple go by two names, and of course one of them had two different husbands so when one wife is presumed dead, my head was spinning. Then we throw in Stacie who had a brain tumor and can't remember anything so she's taken care of by her dad. I started taking notes to keep track of all the characters and it helped. Parks is an adept writer and I ended up really liking this and will read more of hers in the future!
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC!

A bit confusing in the beginning as I didn't read or realize there was a book one, but I was able to get involved pretty quickly. A missing woman, married to two men, it is her story, her husband' story, her step son's story and the story of a woman, recovering from cancer with no memory, living in an isolated location during the pandemic. Lots of interesting ethical questions and how we would live if we had the chance to live two lives.

A daughter suffering from amnesia as she recovers from cancer treatment and a bigamist presumed dead would appear to have nothing in common until the author creates a plot where worlds collide. Unlikeable characters made it difficult to root for anyone.

Another knock out of the park! Love Adele Parks! Stay up all night reading! Hooked! Excellent author! Very talented, good flow.

After taking a bit to get into this book I did find myself wanting to get to the ending and learn what happened to Kylie. The characters weren’t very likable and I found myself needing to go back to clarify details at time. I also did not know this was a follow up to another novel and reading that novel first may have increased my interest. Overall not my favorite, but not the worst.

In Two Dead Wives, friendship, betrayal, love, lust, lies, and complicated characters are within the pages of this thriller. Each chapter focused on a different character. Two wives are dead or just missing? Who is responsible? Multiple settings in the novel gives it more depth as well as a different character in each chapter. As the story unfolds and the characters begin to be known to the reader, you see the character development, and can truly visualize the characters in your mind.
A distraught dad is missing his wife Leigh and his sons are heartbroken. Fiona, the best friend is trying to help them keep it together. Daan, a wealthy business man found out his wife Kylie was also missing. Stacie is a young woman living a qiuet life by the sea with her father. He is tasked caring for her due to a serious illness which has caused her to suffer from severe memory loss. Are they all linked? Are they three seperate stories?
The complicated characters lead to convoluted suspensful situations that are definite plot twists that you don't anticipate. Each chapter kept me on the edge of my seat as I read and remained engaged in the story. The chapters are short and I appreciate that particular writing technique because I feel like it keeps the story flow moving and boredom at bay.
The only constructive critique that I have is that in the beginning with the different female character names I found it confusing at first, and I didn't realize for awhile that Kylie and Kai was the same character. Overall, I loved the book!. Thank you for the Arc!

Unfortunately, this book did not hold my interest and I DNF’d it about 25% in. The characters were a little flat for me. I did think the premise was interesting- so I am a little bummed I didn’t like it.

This was such a fantastic, suspenseful thriller! I read so many that it is hard to surprise me with a twist ending, but this one got me. I was completely shocked but also deeply satisfied by the conclusion, which is such a hard line to walk with this genre. An excellent who-dun-it read!

I received an ARC of this novel from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Kylie, Kai and Leigh, separated her life into compartments and married two different men. When she goes missing and is presumed dead, both men become suspects. The most compelling storyline for me is the devastation felt by her stepsons. Kylie is both a difficult and loving person; her faults are numerous, but her heart is humongous.
This novel would make a great book club choice as thd discussions the storyline invites would be fabulous.

I was originally unsure about this book, it took be a bit to get into it. Once the story developed further I began to enjoy it more. It was interesting how all of the characters intertwined. Also this was not my favorite read, I did enjoy it and would recommend it.

This is only my third Adele Parks; ~ I really enjoyed "Just My Luck" but didn't love "Lies, Lies, Lies".
This is the sequel to "Both of You]" which I didn’t know in advance and once I realized it I checked reviewed and it was mentioned it could easily be read as a standalone; so though okay!
This novel is set in 2020 during the Covid “Lock Down”.
Stacie Jones is woman recovering from cancer but has lost her memory. She begins to suspect that her father is hiding something from her. She meets a stranger who tells her that she is not who she thinks she is.
Stacie now wants to know the truth and becomes involving in a missing woman case. It appears Kylie Gillingham is presumed dead but also is a bigamist as her two husbands are both suspects in her disappearance.
When I was only a part way in, I thought oops this isn’t going to work for me; I rechecked reviewed and most are positive so thought okay - I’ll hang in there!
There was a lot going on in this story and a little voice in the back of my head keep reminding me that I needed to go back and read the first in this series which would have made this more enjoyable.
In fact, I laughed at Adele Parks’ comment at the end of the book- If you read " Woman Last Seen" you know that this picks up the story of Kylie, Mark, Dean and Fiona. However, if you hadn’t read it you can now go back and read it and find out what led Kylie to marry two different men in the first place!
Yep that what I need to do!!
Want to thank NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing - MIRA for this early eGalley.

I read a lot in in this genre as distraction and entertainment and this book provided just that. There's a lot of recent books in this quickly becoming crowded space but this book was solid. It caught my attention, despite I figured it out early on but I liked the quick pace and absorbed it like a bag of good potato chips! I particularly appreciated the author's notes at the conclusion of the book. Gotta love an author who listens to and responds to her readers. This was my first read by Adele Parks and will not be my last!
