This was really well written and intriguing. We immediately start of with a bam (quite literally). From the first page I was hooked and I was able to finish this with in 24 hours. I would go more into detail but I think it's best to go in blind.

What I enjoyed:
- the pacing was well done and I was flipping from chapter to chapter quickly
- Multiple POVS
- This is more womens fixtion/drama versus thriller. But I still really enjoyed this book!
- Beautifully written!

What a fun read! I look forward to more by this author! 4 stars out of 5. Thank you Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Overall I really enjoy Nicole Trope as an author but this book was just okay in my opinion. The story starts with the hit and run of a pedestrian on a rainy afternoon which just hooked me and then we meet three separate women who are somehow all connected with the victim. I enjoyed that the story was told from four different points of view (the three women and an unnamed fourth character). The plot line was not difficult to follow despite the many characters but the story was far fetching. It held my interest as I wanted to know how things wrapped up but towards the end I just did not care. The victim was not a likable person and their fate did not matter.

Thank you Net Galley for allowing me to receive this book for an honest review.

Wow is what I can say about this book. It had me hooked from the first page. What would you do if you knew your husband has had multiple affairs and children? He then ends up getting hit by car in an accident and you sit by his side. Some may ask why. But you want answers and we read and see what she does to find out the answers.

It had me wanting more and I was surprised at the end (no spoilers!). You will have to read to find out.

Its so worth it.

I’ve never read a previous book from this author but she is definitely on my list from now on, it was brilliant, a very good ending and it kept me entertained until I finished it

The Truth About the Accident is about Damon, a man who was hit by a car and is now in a coma. The police can’t figure out who hit him. The story is told in the POV of his wife and two mistresses. As the story unfolds you learn they all know something and all have a connection.

The story was good. The author does a good job with the multiple POV style of writing. All the characters are likeable and I admit that I empathized with all of them and hoped they weren’t the one that hit him.

The story was a quick read but I was a little disappointed in the ending. There was a lot of lead up to what became a very weak end in my opinion. Just a short epilogue to answer your questions but a very unsatisfying answer. Good book, frustrating conclusion.

Thank you to the author, Bookoutoure, and NetGalley for the advance reader copy. This is my honest review. 4⭐️

What a fantastic book. From page 1 to the very end, the book had me curiously hooked. A hit and run accident. A blinding rainstorm. An injured man. Three different accounts about the car that hit and didn't stop. And three women with a connection to the injured man. The story is told in alternating chapters by each woman from the time of the accident. It's a recipe for disaster and when disaster strikes watch out. There are twists galore as the days unfold with a jaw dropping twist at the end. I thought it was genius.

I loved the pacing of this story. Told from 3 (kind of 4) different points of view, each chapter moved quickly yet provided the perfect amount of characterization. It was fun trying to guess what the link between the MC's were and how that may have played a part in what happened to Damon.

The Truth about the Accident follows the three women as they discover a man was hit by a car. Their lives are intertwined more than one would expect. This novel was gripping and a page turner.

Slight spoilers: Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC of The Truth about the Accident. I am always thrilled to see a new book by one of my favorite authors Nicole Trope. I must admit this one wasn't my favorite but it still was a good book that drew you in and had you following the mystery of who caused Damon to be in the hospital as an accident victim and why. Damon was married with a lovely wife and two children but apparently that wasn't enough for him. He had multiple women "on the side". The problem is that these women weren't really likable or worth feeling sorry for. They didn't see the red flags nor seem very strong or self assured. I especially had an issue with Sonya who slept with her client and especially in that he didn't remember her from 12 years prior and she was raising his son. That really didn't make sense to me. But as with any books by Nicole Trope I give it 4 stars at least as no matter the topic or plot I am always there to support her and her work. I am impressed by her ability to write books with such varying topics in such a timely manner. I would recommend as she is a great author to add to your book list.

This book was an enjoyable read. I did find it a little bit slow in some point but it did pick up towards the end. Was great that it had a few twists along the way. Quite unpredictable

This was a great book! It was fact paced, had short chapters and a good twist that I wasn’t able to predict. It kept me guessing from start to finish. I liked the fact that the storyline was easy to follow and the book got my attention from the start.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

Thank you to the publishers and Netgalley for the ARC. An accident. Four women. A man sleeping around. Revenge. Suspense. Mystery. Quite a special book. My first of Nicola Tropes and won’t be my last. Characterisation is excellent. The writing is great, I liked hearing the points of view told directly. Thank you Nicola.

This is a quick, easy read. I wasn’t blown away with the storytelling or the twists, but I wasn’t bored. The chapters are short and to the point, so not a lot of fluff to skim over. Overall it’s a good read, but it wasn’t fantastic by any means.

Are you a domestic suspense junkie?

This stellar read stuffed with family drama, secrets and lies needs to be on your night table!

Nicole Trope delivers gripping suspense revolving around the family of a hit-and-run victim. She sheds light on the secret life of the recently deceased CEO of a successful tech company, alerts readers to his wandering eyes and the wake of dejected, hurt women he’s left in his tail lights, brings us to the place of doubt about what could have happened that rainy night, and then continues to offer equally plausible reasons, one after another, for his death. Readers' heads will be spinning! Where does the truth lie? With her? him? somewhere in the middle?

I loved Trope’s short chapters, fast pace, increasing tension, and her fine-tuned cast of characters. She always delivers a binge-able, rich, dark and intricately twisted drama.

I was gifted this copy by Bookouture and NetGalley and was under no obligation to provide a review.

A gripping psychological thriller that builds the drama with each chapter. It’s a novel about a family in crisis, a marriage at breaking point and how secrets can be deadly. It kept me entertained throughout and I enjoyed the little twists. Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the chance to review.

Wow what a book. I couldn't put it down it was that good. Marla is a long suffering wife whose husband loves to stray. When her husband Damon is found in the middle of the road after being hit by a car there are a lot of questions to be asked. The women in his life are all keeping secrets that will soon come out.
I loved this book from start to finish and look forward to reading more from this author.

Thank you to Bookouture and Net Galley for giving me an arc of this book to review in exchange for an honest opinion.

This story follows three women as they all discover secrets about their lives. The book is written in 3 points of view which I found made the story an easy and quick read.

Unfortunately, that is probably the only thing I really enjoyed about the story. I felt that the “twist” was predictable (I knew by chapter 5/6) and that the ending felt rushed and left me feeling confused.

If you are a fan of stories like Big Little Lies or other books by this author, you may still want to give it a try! Perhaps it just wasn’t for me.

******3.5 stars**** Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the Kindle ARC. The Truth About the Accident is what my husband would call a "pot-boiler" and the story of the marriage of Marla and Damon certainly is that. Damon is incapable of being faithful and has at least two additional women in his life. Plenty of twists and turns and definitely a compulsive read, the book is great for any fan of thrillers or marital upsets.

It was my first book of the author. It started well but then got worse and worse page by page. All twists and suspense were predictable. A very disappointed ending.

What a brilliant family drama from this author, slightly different to her usual books but equally as good. All the characters were excellent and I just couldn't put this book down, great from the very first page until the superb ending ............................ what a book!

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for this ARC which I have no hesitation in recommending. Five+ stars from me.
