A really gripping book with great written characters. The book was intense and a great whodunit. I'd def recommend to friends
Thrilling, shocking, chilling, and unputdownable!… Not one to be missed!
An exciting thriller read with twists that keep you guessing till the end!
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC!
One of my favorite authors. The book was phenomenal. She knows how to delivers unexpected twists that you devour in one setting.
Damon Kennedy is the victim of a hit and run. His wife, his lover and his therapist are all interviewed by police. Was it a terrible accident or a deliberate attempt to kill a serial adulterer?
The Truth About The Accident is a psychological thriller and domestic drama set in Australia.
The book begins with different reports to the emergency services of the accident. It was fascinating to see how different people viewed the same incident, what details they remembered and how they were distracted by their own circumstances.
Marla has always tried to be the perfect wife and has accepted Damon's apologies after every affair. Sonya was Damon's therapist but her behaviour was definitely unethical. Athena is Damon's latest lover and pregnant with his child, refusing to have an abortion. Did one of these women seek to hurt Damon in revenge?
The book is written from 4 viewpoints. Marla, Sonya and Athena's perspectives are all presented in the third person to show the minutiae of their relationships with Damon and their reactions to the accident and police investigation. The fourth viewpoint is written in the first person and the identity is not given. This person has a malevolent tone which creates a wonderful tension as we ponder who it could be.
I was kept guessing about who was responsible and felt that the mystery was well maintained. Damon became more unpleasant in my eyes as his personality is revealed through the women's reflections. I was almost glad he'd been injured after the way he kept hurting the women he professed to love!
The Truth About The Accident is an entertaining book full of mystery.
I really enjoyed this book! The characters were well developed and the story was engaging. I recommend that others try this book as well. Well done!
WOW!! Be prepared to set aside time to read this book because you will not be able to put it down! Lots of twists and turns and you will not see the ending coming. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book
The Wife Marla and two mistresses, Athena and Sonya are under suspicion of running over Damon, the man they all love.
Damon has been in a coma since being run over and is hovering between life and death.
Marla is the long suffering wife who has put up with Damon's affairs for the last 20 years.
Athena is the new mistress who is pregnant with Damon's child. She is expecting him to leave Marla and play happy families with her.
Sonya is Damon's therapist and she has her own reasons for sleeping with Damon. Sonya is hoping that he will remember her from a one night stand they had 13 years ago.
This is a fast paced domestic thriller that sucks you in from the first page.
The story is told from 4 pov, Marla, Athena, Sonya plus a mystery person who is revealed at the end.
Iloved the short chapters this helps increase the tension in the story. I also love the well developed characters that show you how strong and independent women can be.
My only downside was the internal thinking of the women became a bit repetitive towards the end.
I received an advanced copy from Netgalley
Wow, this book was interesting and good. I didn't totally get into it like I do some books, but had good suspense and twists in it which I enjoyed. I will be looking for other books from this author,
I live all of Nicole's books. This definitely up there with all her other books. I enjoyed this one alot. I would give it 4 out if 5 stars. I would recommend to anyone looking for fast pace book

Review:
This is my first time reading a book my Nicole though I know I will be reading more of them. There was so much going on in this one so at first I had a little trouble keeping all the names sorted. Though as I continued to read I couldn’t stop and didn’t want to either. There was so much going on in this story but it was all need to give it the ending that it earned.
Lots of twists and turns
Damon has been hit by a car on a rainy night. The cops can not figure out how this happened, as rhw Street Cams were not working
Damon is married to Marla. He cheats on her every chance he can get
Athena is pregnant by Damon. He doesn't want the baby. It's not that kind of relationship
Sonya is Damon's therapist. He's getting help for his sex addiction, right?
When these collections of women become scorned, who know what they may be capable of doing
I did not see that ending coming ! My guesses changed so many times, I thought I had whiplash! 😂 If you love a thriller pick this book up.
This is an entertaining domestic thriller told from multiple pov and a dual timeline which I liked. The angry wife, two mistresses and a mystery person who's identity is not revealed until the end and it did surprise me! With short chapters and engaging characters the story flowed nicely and I was eager to find out the truth about the accident. I enjoyed this book and flew through it as the mystery and tension keeps you turning the pages but it didn't blow me away. I think it would make a great poolside read and I'd definitely read more from this author. 3.5 ⭐️
Wow. This is a book about family dramas, secrets and lies, a bit of a who dunnit that will keep you turning the pages to see what happens and was it really an accident?
I love that this is not a long book so it flowed well and was fast paced. It is a book you can pick up and not put down until you have finished. Of course that is what you will want to do. This is edge of the seat reading and one I am glad I had the opportunity to read.
Great characters, twists and turns and the twist at the end you won't see coming!
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read adn review this book.
A well written book that is addictive and will have you hooked.
I enjoyed tha the story was told from different points if view. With all the different characters and all of their different personalities which offered may different takes and twists along the way.
I’m afraid this is going to be a case of damned by feint praise because nothing awful to complain about but nothing brilliant to enthuse about either.
Good start but then pace slowed. Ending ok with at least a satisfactory conclusion.
The saying goes " There Are Two Sides To Every Story". Clearly they haven't read this fabulous book as there are several.
Without giving this amazing plot away, welcome to a world of lies and deception with a side order of good old revenge.
The story is told from several POV, whose perspectives differ greatly.
I loved how the suspense builds to boiling point.
A must read that will keep you captive throughout.
Thank you to Netgalley for my copy in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you for the early copy of this book. Trying to branch out and read new things and it paid off! What a great read! Kept me on my seats edge!
Wow. Okay. I don’t even really know what to say! I’m still a little shocked lol. This one did start off a bit slow, but once it picked up, I really enjoyed it!
This was not a favorite of mine from this author. I usually like her books, but this one was tedious to read. It just wasn't what I consider a thriller or suspense novel. Thanks to net galley and the publisher for an early read.
