Another great entry in the Sarah MacLean universe! It's the third in the series, but can be read as a standalone as well. Fun characters, an intriguing plot, and a great romance, as per usual for this author. Any fans of historical romance will enjoy!

Sarah MacLean does it again. This may be my favorite of the series so far. Imogen and Tommy are so much fun and I just love their dynamic. Sexy, emotional, and explosive...so good.

I LOVE this series from Sarah MacLean!!! I have seen reviews stating that they read historical for the true historical viewpoint and not a feminist one, to which I say ---- bring on all of the feminist heroines of historical romances!!! I refuse to believe that there weren't women back then fighting for other women to have autonomy over their own lives. And even if not, I don't want damsels in distress that can't fight for their love and save themselves and their friends. Thank goodness for Sarah MacLean! Loved getting this third viewpoints from Hell's Belles, especially with finally getting Tommy's backstory. I can't wait to see what comes from The Duchess' story next!!

“Knockout” is the third book in the “Hell’s Belles” series by Sarah MacLean, a New York Times bestselling author. The novel follows Lady Imogen Loveless, a chemist and explosives expert who is part of a vigilante group called the Hell’s Belles. When a series of explosions occur in London’s East End, Imogen works to catch the culprit with the help of detective Thomas Peck.

Knockout is the third book in the Hell's Belles series and I have not read the first two . This is something I'm going to have to rectify quickly because I loved this book. The Hell's Belles are a vigilante group in Regency Times. This book follows Imogen Loveless, an explosives expert, who is called to the scene of a bombing in London. Inspector Peck is also called onto the scene. They have had run ins before. It follows the romance between the two and also the investigation into a series of bombings of businesses known to help women.

This book is an amazing blend of romance, comedy, and action. I like the quips the characters throw one another and the chemistry between the two main characters. The book, at times, gets a bit like "not like other girls" in terms of Imogen but I think, for the most part, it isn't too bad. Imogen feels outcasted from all of society, not just other women. She is different from all people, not just women. So her feelings of isolation I don't think are meant to be "not like other girls".

I'm definitely reading the first two books in the series and will certainly read the next book in the series as well.

I think it took me so long to review this book because I felt like I expected to absolutely adore this book and I just didn’t love it as much as I hyped myself into expecting. Don’t get me wrong…I really liked most of it, but Tommy was a bit of a letdown for me at the end 😭 The grovel wasn’t there for me and I thought this man really needed to grovel more in order to be forgiven.

Imogen was amazing and I absolutely adored her. She was fierce and so completely herself. I feel like her character arc exceeded my expectations. I was so completely invested in her happiness and at times wanted to hold her and tell her she’s loved and she’s perfect as is. I also loved the push and pull between her and Tommy. Their back and forth was really fun and sexy…until it wasn’t. Tommy was great for most of the book but his excuses wore thin at the end. Like listen to your woman Tommy Boy…it isn’t that difficult 🙄 This made me go from loving the book to enjoying most of the book and loving Imogen, but not loving Tommy as much. I’m so sad to say that because stern brunch daddy Tommy should have been my favorite 😭

While Tommy irked me…he may not irk you. It was a great book even with the little bit of let down at the end. Imogen was a blast…both literally and figuratively. And you know I just love this girl gang 🥰 So I do recommend and I ultimately gave the book 4.25 ⭐️

I received a copy of this eBook in exchange for an honest review from netGalley.

I have loved Imogen and Tommy since their first meeting and this book was everything I wanted for them! The hijinks, the drama, the love and the family. I fell instantly into the story and felt Tommy's pain at his "bad" days. I loved seeing all the hell's belles again and now can't wait for the Duchess's story.

Sarah MacLean did it again! The best in historical romance.

I knew I would love Imogen's book but somehow it still exceded my expectations.
This one is for the girlies that have always felt or been told they took up too much space, were too loud, too much. I related so much to our little explosives enthusiast and I loved the way Sarah utilized explosives to describe things. That was just cherry on top of the cake.

SARAH! That epilogue?!?!! How dare you!! I need the 4th book NOOOOW.

Thank you to netgalley and avon books for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Maclean is in my top 3 historical romance authors. With this book, it solidifies it yet again, why I'm obsessed with her writing. Reading Knockout made me want to reread all her other books all over again because I love this series and all her others so much. And can I just say the excerpt at the end with the Duchess.... UM I need that book yesterday! I am so PUMPED for that book!!

Imogen is the perfect combo of cheeky and vulnerable. She is also is a certified genius and so adorable. Tommy is my new book husband as he is just my type and every time I read his description, all I could think of is Henry Cavill :heart eyes: This book is quick, light read with the perfect amount of building up tension and then enough spice that keeps you engaged.
I as always will recommend this book, this series and really any of Maclean's books are worth the read! Please pick this up and read this!

4 Stars Knockout by Sarah MacLean was such a great historical romance and mystery! MacLean really knows how to write strong, well-rounded women, as well as incorporating modern day issues into a novel set centuries ago. Tommy was one of my favorite types of romantic leads: a cinnamon roll. He absolutely worshiped and admired everything about Imogen. He proves again and again that he would do anything for her and to keep her safe. In return, Imogen doesn't doubt the sincerity of his feelings and gives him the praise that he needs when feeling insecure. Such a great read!
