Buzz Books 2023: Romance was a lot of fun to read. The excerpts provided solid previews of upcoming romance books. They also provide the reader an opportunity to try new authors. I found several items that I want to read completely. My two overall favorites were Mary Jo Putney's Silver Lady, and Jenny Holiday's Earls Trip. Thanks NetGalley for providing this.

I’m an avid romance reader and always on the lookout for more love stories to add to my shelves. Buzz Books 2023: Romance is a fabulous resource for anyone who wants to know what romantic novels await us in the coming months. From standalones to series-starters, from contemporary to historical to paranormal romances, and from bestsellers and debut authors alike, this guide highlights 14 upcoming books any hopeless romantic will enjoy.

The 14 excerpts here are fairly long, giving readers a good idea of the plot and tone of each novel featured. It actually changed my mind on two books I wasn’t sure if I’d like: Do Your Worst by Rosie Danan and My Roommate Is a Vampire by Jenna Levine. Both actually look amazing and are now must-reads I plan to pick up soon!

Some of the other books I’m most looking forward to reading in full are Stars in Your Eyes by Kacen Callender, Earls Trip by Jenny Holiday, The Emperor and the Endless Palace by Justinian Huang, As Long as You Love Me by Marianna Leal, and Love of My Lives by Yamile Saied Méndez.

Buzz Books 2023: Romance previews an excellent selection of romances that I can hardly wait to read. Romance readers will be delighted by these excerpts and by the full books upon their upcoming releases.

Such a good idea and makes me excited for what’s to come! My only criticism is the taster is too good and now I have to wait for the books to come out!!

I just love Buzz Books. They are such a great way to discover new authors and stories. I’m so excited about these books, but two are going to the top of my TBR pile. Stars in Your Eyes by Kacen Callender looks fantastic. Queer actors fake dating incorporates one of my favorite tropes. I also already love Mattie, who is from my hometown. My Roommate Is A Vampire also looks really entertaining. Thanks to NetGalley and Publishers Lunch for this sampler.

It is both delightful and vindicating that Romance gets its own Buzz Books anthology. Loved the ones I got to sample here and I know that there are so many more upcoming releases as well! Hoping that I get approvals for the books I requested here!!

Pros: I love when NetGalley has these samplers because it helps me narrow down what books to request. These authors are all new-to-me, so I love the opportunity to get a preview of these books, especially from publishers I am never approved for like Berkley.

I always love when this gets released every year because I always find a bunch of treasures. It was also easy to find and request books. The sample size was long enough for me to decide if I liked it and it was well formatted.

This is an excellent resource for romance readers as well as those who read ARCs. I've already requested a few of these and added a few to my TBR. You get plot summaries, 1 sample chapter, and release dates.

At first i thought this would be the typical romance novel. Let me tell you this, it’s not! There’s so much depth and shape to the plot and build up to the romance and when i read the ending oh my gosh i gasped! 4/5 stars ⭐️
