2.75/5 stars! This is the second book in the "Billionaire Bossholes" series. The actual writing was good, but I didn't connect with this story. Maddy felt like she was written to be super naive and stupid and "bosshole" was instead an a**hole. I didn't really see him as redeeming and his motivations all felt sexual in nature.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Maddy and Noah. Maddy is a writer. Noah owns a sporting representative company. They meet at a wedding, they land up sharing a hotel room. Noah has just fired his assistant, he hires Maddy. Maddy is a fixer. They start dating. They fall in love.

It was alright, The story was ok but some of the things that happen in this book had me cringing to no end. Could have been a lot better.

Due to a reservation mishap at the hotel, Maddy finds herself sharing her suite with Noah, a high-profile sports agent who might have mistaken her for someone else when they first met. This unusual start leads her to a role as his personal assistant.

Their initial misunderstandings aside, Maddy and Noah instantly connect. She challenges him and introduces fresh business angles, while the sparks between them are undeniable. As the boundaries between work and romance begin to blur, they dive deep into their relationship.

However, everything takes a turn when a figure from Maddy's past threatens their budding romance, potentially causing a scandal for the company and tarnishing her reputation. With growing challenges pushing them apart, they must decide if their relationship is worth the potential backlash. The emotional climax was deeply touching.

I loved the dynamic between Maddy and Noah. Maddy was the ideal counterpart for him, helping him pause and notice the world around him, and she had a unique ability to make people confide in her. While Noah appeared to be a strict boss, his relentless drive and constant need to plan and control sometimes blinded him to his surroundings.Maddy and Noah's journey was intense, but they ultimately find their deserved happy ending. Overall, It was an endearing read to me.

I love getting my hands on a new Leslie North book! Mr. Jerk was full of banter and love. I loved it!

Mr Jerk is a fun and steamy romance that begins with a quirky hotel room encounter between the narrator and Noah Parker, a billionaire sports agent. Their tumultuous relationship, filled with humour and undeniable attraction, takes centre stage as they navigate workplace dynamics, steamy moments, and unexpected twists. This book is a delightful blend of romance, humour, and workplace intrigue that keeps readers entertained from start to finish.

Mr Jerk was a fun story about a workaholic, Noah, and smart problem solver, Maddy. Age-gap and boss-employee stories can be tricky but this does a good job. I’ve read a few different stories from Leslie North and have enjoyed all of them.

This was a great opposite attracts romance. I thought it was fun and quirky.

After a mix-up by the hotel after a friend's wedding, both Noah and Maddy end up in the same hotel suite, and without another solution, they end up sharing a bed. The next morning Maddy helps him out of a pickle after his assistant messed up, leading to her being fired, and subsequently, Noah offers Maddy the job as his new assistant, which she accepts. This leads to an office romance between the boss and assistant.

The book was well written and the character's personalities were well executed. The author also did a great job at describing situations and the backdrop of scenes.

Usually, Leslie North’s series come per three books. Because they are only available a short time on Netgalley, I thought that I missed the second and third one in the series, because after Mr. Grump, I didn’t see the sequel.

Turns out, that Leslie took her time to creat Mr Jerk. But here we are: yet another great Bosshole story; hot, spicy and funny. As always a great read, steamy and sparks flying. Totally awesome. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

This is the 2nd book in the “Billionaire Bossholes Series”. This was a fun, steamy read. If you like a grumpy, workaholic meets fiesty, independent protagonist, you will love this.

A good story overall, of a workaholic finding love. Enjoyed it, but the sex seemed a bit overdone at times, but easy to skim. Might just be my age of over 50. Would recommend though, as overall a good and quick read.

A fantastic release from Leslie North! Mr. Jerk isn’t that much of a jerk, but he is completely married to his job. He does get sidetracked by his new, half-his-age assistant, and they begin a relationship. However, one a work incident happens that leads to bad PR, guess who Mr. Married to the Job becomes? You guessed it. Mr. Jerk.

I enjoyed this book sooooooo (notice all those Os?) much more that the serial book 1 that the author released. I give a strong 4 stars. I look forward to reading more!

A really strong opening with their meet cute as it were but for Noah supposedly being a jerk and Maddy being a young feisty and put together women it should have made for a fiery and passionate story but it kind of lost its way in the middle. Maddy seemed to lose her edge and Noah became bland and mr nice guy albeit blinkered in business. The ex angle for Maddy was uncomfortable and didn’t quite fit, I don’t know why but it served its purpose for the whole story. Overall I enjoyed and read it quickly it’s opened up a new author for me to read!

This is the 2nd book in the “Billionaire Bossholes Series”. This is an entertaining read, age gaped, drama, steamy, romance, enemies to lovers, great characters and a great plot. Noah is sexy alpha billionaire sport agent. Maddy and Noah meet when the hotel they’re staying in overbooks them hence they have been assigned the same room. Noah enters the room and asks if Maddy is an escort. Maddy is not leaving the room nor is Noah and the two are attending a mutual friend’s wedding. Maddy is a fixer and she helped Noah out of a situation. Noah is in need of an assistant after firing his incompetent. He in turn asks Maddy if she wants the job and she accepts and he pays her a very high salary. Maddy’s ex-boyfriend Beckett unbeknown to her also works for Noah. Beckett is a thorn in Maddy’s side as he is causing problems, threatening and harassing other females.

Will Noah fire Beckett, will Maddy continue to work for Noah with her ex-boyfriend causing problems, is there an HEA in store for Maddy and Noah?

Mr Jerk is a hot, fun, easy read! I couldnt put it down!

What do you do when you walk into a hotel room and someone else is already there changing? Someone who's apparently capable of making magic happen and is beautiful? Well you hire her of course and fall in love.
This novel was a good second book in the Billionaire Bossholes series. While it could be read as a stand alone, the characters in the first book do carry over. However, they don't carry over in a way that makes the reader feel like they're missing anything.
Leslie North made this a fun, humorous, easy summer read. I cant wait to hop onto the next one she comes out with. Will recommend!

What a great saucy and spicy rom com book. This had a great writing style and each chapter kept you hooked from the start.

The Jerk started out so strong, and fizzled for me. Their poor communication, and the basis of their arguments really rubbed me the wrong way. He wanted more control, she had no idea. We can’t read minds! I almost DNF’d but pushed through to the end.

I’m a fan of Leslie North and have read the majority of her books. Unfortunately i could not enjoy this one, i found the character extremely irritating and the writing style was different to her previous books

Mr Jerk... except he wasn't actually a jerk?

We start off with a bang and kind of simmer off about halfway through. It's like when you're cooking pasta, bring the water to a boil and then let it simmer for 20 min. Don't tease me with a good time and let me down, OK?

I don't think I was expecting too much? Office romance, boss is a jerk but is secretly a softie for only you. You know the vibes I'm talking about.

Except that isn't the vibe of this book? Noah isn't a really a jerk. He's described as a boss who expects perfection and will dish out shit if it's warranted, but you don't actually see any of that? Is he really sort of bland?
I wanted to see him give out ridiculous demands, I wanted him to be standoffish and then warm to maddy. I wanted a grumpy boss. But all I got was a knock-off brand?

Our sunshine character, maddy, is written better than Noah. She isn't in your face annoying, and her Sunshine vibe is much more believable than Noah's grumpy jerk persona. But again, I found her lacking.

I don't know if I've read some great grumpy/sunshine workplace romances, and that's why this book didn't hit the spot for me or what.

If you enjoyed this great power to ya. Each to their own. But I think I'll put this in my disappointment pile for now.
