The chemistry between the billionaire sports agent, Noah Parker, and the feisty protagonist is off the charts. From the moment they meet, sparks fly and the banter is hilarious. This enemies-to-lovers story kept me hooked till the very end. I couldn't help but root for the strong-willed heroine as she navigates her complicated relationship with the hot jerk. With steamy scenes and unexpected twists, this book had me glued to the pages. If you're in the mood for a sizzling romance filled with wit and passion, "Mr. Jerk" is a must-read!
This is a steamy age-gap romance and was an overall enjoyable read. Character development was good and the chemistry between the characters felt real. There is a lot of things happening that could potentially threaten their relationship but overall this story does have a happy ending. It was a fast-paced read and was enjoyable. I would recommend this book to someone who enjoys age-gape and grumpy MMCs.
Thanks NetGalley for the ARC!

So this is the second book I’ve read from Leslie North and i did not enjoy it as much as her previous.
I liked the start of their meeting with their fiery tempers, and wished it continued in that vein but it sort of dissipated to the usual romance and i missed the banter.
The romance was sweet but never really gave me feelings that i have had previously.
The title i feel was wrong as it did not fit the main character as the problems he had to deal with would make anyone have a slight attitude and not be a jerk.
I will try this author again to see if it was just a blip to me.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for a ARC
After reading the description of this book it sounded like a really good read, but for me it didn’t live up to it. I know we are supposed to suspend reality a bit but to me it just went a bit far. I found both characters immature and annoying. I’m sure I will be in the minority an£ maybe I was just not in the right mood for it. Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for giving me access to a review copy of this book.
I wasn't the biggest fan of this read if I am being honest. I felt very disconnected from the characters. The very of the beginning of the book but lost interest mid way.
Noah Parker is a jerk and for most of the story lives up to that title. Maddy is someone we should call a fixer for she fixes everything. They met by both having the same hotel room and Noah calling her a call girl. She is not after realizing they can not get another room they have to share. He later discovers that his assistant did not book the plane for his next appointment. He is a sports agent and owns the company, while he is upset and fires her Maddy has fixed everything and has gotten him a flight and a car. Seeing that he takes her with him and she actually is the reason he signs the college player. Most of the story is there back and forth which is good there is a part where one of her exes works for his company and that leads to problems and Maddy ends up leaving and this makes Noah finally realize he must come to terms with what is going on with him inside. A good story with some weird moments, but overall a good book.

This one actually seemed to have a plot behind. There’s a gap between Noah and Maddy, in age difference, position, wealth and experience. They seem to be a good match, but she’s inmature.
Mr Jerk is the second book in the Billionaire Bossholes series by Leslie North. This book hasn't been well marketed to include that it is the next in a series. After I finished Mr. Jerk I wanted to see if it was part of a series since their were groups of friends mentioned that seemed like a backstory, Come to find out, I actually read the previous book and really enjoyed it! Goodreads nor North's website listed it as part of a series.
Mr Jerk starts out with one of the best meet cutes I've read in awhile. Noah walks into his hotel room to find a woman undressing. He mistakes her for a prostitute but she's a bridesmaid in his best friend's wedding. They end up being double booked for the room and of course there's no more rooms available. This encounter leads to Noah hiring Maddy to be his new assistant. They pretty much immediately take off flying around the world to court new sports stars. Eventually, they begin dating. They must navigate their relationship with friends, work, and Maddie's past.
I liked this book. More so now, that I can remember the backstory from the previous book. Their romance started fairly quickly. Noah tried (pretty weakly) to resist Maddy's sunshiny personality. One of my favorite parts was watching Noah interact with Maddy's friend group. They are such an integral part of Maddy's life and Noah tried (and succeeded) in winning them over.
Tropes include: office romance, meet cute, sports romance, grumpy/sunshine, billionaire, age gap, found family

This was a wonderfully heartwarming grumpy/sunshine office romance, complete with a sexy, billionaire CEO and a beautiful, sunshiny acquaintance-turned assistant. This book was a great, light read ad I read it in a matter of days. I was quickly drawn into Maddy and Noah's story and was immediately charmed by Maddy's sunshine and Noah's attentiveness and devotion to Maddy and her happiness. The storyline was a bit predictable for a grumpy/sunshine novel, but overall, this was a great read and I will likely read the rest of the books in the series.
DNF at 60% - this is not necessarily a negative review, I’m just a huge mood reader and I’m not handling this book right now.
I found the very start of this book a little hard to believe… like as if he offered her a job after knowing her for less than 12 hours, because she was able to book him a flight??? I mean I guess he was scrambling for an assistant… but then to just outright offer to triple her current salary? Would any white collar male (especially a sports agent ffs imagine the inflated sense of importance and ego) actually do that? Well I guess she was ‘breathtaking’ to look at. I also got the sense Maddy was very naive from the get-go.
So as you can tell, this book and I got off on the wrong foot 🤷♀️ but Mr Jerk was a jerk indeed. Again I only read 60% and I didn’t dislike it, it’s a creative a well written story, but I’m a mood read and right now it is just too much stress, not enough to enjoy.
Beckett was just so fucking gross, which I know was the whole point of his character, but still he felt unnecessarily dislike-able. Gave me Tamlin vibes (especially in chapter 21/22).
This book just stressed me out. I knew Noah’s flip out was coming but it still surprised me how self-centred he was. Maddy is basically telling him how she was in a difficult relationship with a gaslighting controlling asshole IN COLLEGE and he found a way to make it about himself and the appearance of his business. But also, yes Maddy should have told him she had a serious relationship with a co-worker. BUT I can also understand why she hesitated too, with the confusing dynamics between her and Noah from the beginning.
Full review coming once I’m in the mood to give this book a second go!
Maddy and Noah have the best cute meet I have read in a long time! From there you get to see Noah develop into a different person but still staying true to who he is deep down. Maddy is loving her new path and life and having Noah being a huge part of it is even better. What Maddy didn’t see happening is some of her past coming to ruin her life now. Will Maddy and Noah be able to work through a few rough times and come out stronger?
I am a big fan of Leslie North and usually really enjoy her book. Like some of the other reviewers have said, the first 1/3 of this book is really good and I was pretty invested in the romance between Noah and Maddy, even though I'm not a big fan of age gap romances, especially this big and between a mid twenty year old and a mid-forty. In my opinion, that big a gap is really hard to overcome. That said, part of their romance were sweet, like the trip to Europe. But the way he treated Maddy when things got tough, I didn't buy it and I really had a hard time buying into his remorse. I'm giving this book 3.5 stars rounded to 4 because as always, Leslie North writes very well, I'm just not a fan of this big of an age gap.
Really enjoyed the beginning of this book as Noah and Maddy meet and start their relationship. I enjoyed watching her surprise him with her capabilities. There was a fairytale aspect to their romance that I found fun. I thought this would be a higher rated read but I didn’t love the third act conflict. They were both immature and the lack of actual communication irritated me. Maddy’s friends didn’t help at all with their wishy washy input. I liked this book enough to know that I will try another book by the author even if I didn’t end up loving it as much as I had hoped.

Quick Summary: A punch drunk on love romance
My Review: Mr. Jerk by Leslie North was the type of romance that comes out of nowhere and sucker punches you right across the heart. It's all about a grumpy Type A professional who meets a young, joyfully spontaneous fixer/problem solver extraordinaire.
My Favorite Quote from the Book: “I fell, madly, wildly, desperately in love with you, Maddy Malone. And I’ve been going out of my mind because I thought I’d lost you forever. So before we go any further, I need to know if you feel the same.”
(Couldn't you just swoon? 😍)
My Aha Observations: Noah and Maddy were so different from one another. Despite that, they had a connection that was undeniable. Both leads had a lot to learn. In the end, they realized that growth had to happen before they could have anything worthy of being called love.
My Final Say: Readers who enjoy older man-younger woman romances will love this one. It was very well done and tackled many of the unique challenges that come with this type of romance.
Other: The friend group of Maddie had a vibe. The dynamics among the friends was interesting. The fact that Noah came full circle with them proved to be a noteworthy watch and tell.

Thank you to the author and to Relay Publishing for making a digital ARC of this work available via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. The words I have shared are my own.
* I look forward to becoming better acquainted with this author's work.
This was an ok read for me the character lacked chemistry. The writing and story was good but not my favorite book from this author.
2.75 stars.
Thank you to NetGalley for a e-book copy of this book for an honest review, all thoughts are my own.
So let me just start by saying I really like Leslie North's writing, I just need to find the right book for me, unfortunately this one just isn't for me.
I'm not a huge fan of age-gap romance, it just doesn't sit with me.
This is Noah and Maddie's story, at a wedding they end up in the same room and after calling her a hooker they end up with the single bed trope, which I do enjoy. Noah then hires Maddie as his assistant and as they say the rest is history. I did enjoy the travel aspects of this book and the friendships. Just something about the relationship, not just the age gap, didnt work for me. I didnt like how Noah came across when it came out about Maddie and Beckett and I understand that was the miscommunication part of the story with the 3rd act breakup I just think it was kind of unforgiveable.
I received an ARC from NetGalley in return for an honest review.
The title was a total misnomer. Noah wasn’t a jerk at all. I didn’t like the cover which seemed to have nothing to do with the hero.
Sorry, but I found this book formulaic, predictable and really rather boring. This ‘writers collective’ have produced an uninspired story that is modelled on so many similar stories., many of which are far more entertaining.
Everything was signposted and there was a lot of ‘telling’ not ‘showing’
.
.I quite liked Maddy’s ability to show how clever she was when they first start working together.
I didn’t like that she didn’t tell Noah who Becket was right from the start. It was so clear that there were going to be trouble down the line.
I am amazed at how the writers managed to make Noah’s billionaire status so uninspiring. Buying clothes, private jet, foreign travel - utterly uninspiring. If I read about billionaires I want to totally experience the difference in lifestyle.
Finally, the sex scenes were decidedly un-erotic. They read like biology manuals. Where was the emotion, the romance, the sexiness?
Sorry but I was very disappointed. This book is competently written but it is so obviously a ‘written to a pre-determined checklist’ that it just didn’t work for me. Sorry but I couldn’t engage.
Not really Mr Jerk at all! It feels like the title was set to match the others in the series, or heavily rewritten after the title was selected?!
In true style of the "Leslie North writer collective", this is another easy to read, feel good romance story that will help you kill a few hours, bring some smiles, and make sure you cheer on the girl gang.
In the beginning Noah comes off a little like a Jerk, But I like how dedicated he is to his work, employees and people that he represents. That dedication comes through in so many ways. Maddy sees it and is able to bring a lot to the job. She could be a sports agent easily. All of the glitz and glamour is awesome but so is the few at home night that they share. I loved reading Mr. Jerk, and will be telling all of my friends what a great book that it is.
