An interesting novel about a little-known story of Southern men serving in the Union forces. A good story full of interesting facts and accounts. Ab good read for the Civil war enthusiast.
Thank you to #NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

I hate to say it but Silent Cavalry is the type of history book that I hate: boring, long-winded and lacking charm. Howell Raines lacks the writing style of Chernaw, Larson or Grann who are able to write stories out of history instead of a book report like Raines does.
