This is the first book I've read by Mia Sheridan (I know shocking but please don't come for me). I've heard about another of her books so had high hopes for this.

Honestly I'm on the fence with All The Little Raindrops. I will say please check trigger warnings if certain things aren't what you want to read as there's quite a bit in this.

Overall I got through this but I feel it could have been more than it was but it dragged by the last quarter.

If you like dark romances and don’t have any triggers, this will be up your alley! As for me, I’m conflicted. That’s not really my jam but I am a fan of Mia Sheridan so I tried to keep an open mind longer than I would have with another author. The main characters were 18 at the start, so the kidnapping, rape and ptsd sexual relationship aspects of this book were too much for me. And then, without spoilers, the secrets/lies that followed are one of my least favorite tropes. So, I’ll give it 3 stars and call it a day.

In All the Litle Raindrops, Noelle and Evan awake to find they've been kidnapped and are being held in cages at some unknown location. In a Saw-like game, Noelle and Evan are given multiple chances to betray each other but they neither will go back on their pact to get out whole. They stick together and come up with a plan that leads to their escape. The story then jumps ahead several years with Noelle and Evan reuniting after Evan discovers the game didn't end with them. They're determined to take down those responsible for their suffering and end the game.

I liked that you're pretty much thrown right into the story from the start. Noelle has already been kidnapped and is wondering what is going on. Evan then arrives and you discover there's something that connects them together. I thought it was interesting how they were connected and spent a lot of the book trying to figure out how that connection caused them to be picked.

While I liked the pace of the beginning, the book did slow down quite a bit and I struggled to continue. I did start to enjoy it again toward the end when they started investigating but for a large portion of the book, I pushed myself to keep reading. I would've liked for the characters to be more fleshed out. I think I would have enjoyed the story more if I could connect with Noelle and Evan. While I can usually ignore situations that are unrealistic, there were some moments during their investigation that things went together a little too nicely. Noelle and Evan would randomly connect the dots and leave you wondering how they came to that conclusion so fast.

Overall, I give it three stars. While the story started off strong, I didn't end up connecting with the characters. I did like how it ended but it felt rushed. I would've liked if the author spent more time on wrapping everything up and would have loved learning more about the Collector.

Just to be clear: this is Mia Sheridan, the New York Times bestseller author who wrote “Archer’s Voice”, that twisted and dark book that everyone begs me to read at least once a week?

I promised a long time ago to read that book, and since I obviously didn't I was properly excited. And the joke is on me because hear me out: I haven't read it (yet) because I was afraid it was too much for me.
So when I found out I was approved for the Arc of her new book - described as equally disturbed as her previous stories -, I jumped in it prepared for the most gross, devious, disturbing romance anyone could ever come up with.
What I’m hearing is the universe laughing at me, while I look at reviews other people wrote, wondering if we read the same book.

I can describe “All the Little Raindrops” only as what I’d have liked it to be: darker and faster.
The slow narrative would have been justified by unthinkable things I don't feel to write down, while this version is in desperate need of cutting down chapters.
On the other hand, the story is just… meh.

That said, I blame the marketing people: if you give an illusion of the book you’re commercializing, readers will not be pleased. The ones who know the author and her works may try again in the future, but new readers won't be so understanding.

The premise of this book sounded very intriguing, but unfortunately it just wasn't for me. At 390 pages, this book could have been condensed to create a compelling mystery about two victims solving their own kidnappings. Instead, the first 25% of this book is a pure horror novel with vivid and graphic details of human trafficking, including rape, sexual assault, physical assault, and confinement in cages. This book was so much more disturbing than I had anticipated, and it was very difficult to get through. The next 25% of the book was more of a romance, which felt too unbelievable and forced. Fortunately, I found the second half of the book much more captivating and enjoyed how Noelle and Evan worked together to solve their case, although it was still quite dark and twisted. Fans of "Verity" and "Local Woman Missing" will likely enjoy this book, but it was too gruesome for my taste.

I am not too sure how I feel about this book, it was definitely interesting. I 100% recommend checking out trigger warnings for this one because there are definitely some super dark moments here. This book reminded me a lot of Still Beating by Jennifer Hartman, but this book focuses a lot more on the mystery aspect than romance. My biggest problem with this book is I felt that all the investigating the main two characters did was pointless and did not really add anything to the plot.

I made it to the 14% mark, and went on GoodReads to see what others thought about this book and it seemed like people either loved it, or couldn't finish it and decided to DNF quickly. I was not expecting this to be as dark as it was, especially right off. Based on the synopsis, I know Evan and Noelle escape but I don't think I can read about what they suffer through and how other people are involved in it, to get to the "after". I had only read one other book by this author, in a completely different genre, but I don't thinks she's an author I'll keep reading.

This intriguing story gripped me from the start. It is not the usual romance story that I know Mia Sheridan for. This Is a bit different, dark, brutal, and graphic in some parts, gutwrenching too, with twists and turns that weren't expected. All that kept me turning the pages to see how everything would end.

I love Mia Sheridan and her outstanding writing. All the Little Raindrops by Mia was such a dark yet phenomenal story. I was hanging onto every single page.
This story is an intriguing dark crime mystery with romance added in the mix.
I loved Noelle and Evan. Their journey was crazy and not for the faint of heart.
A compelling romance and thriller with twists and turns that had my heart rate spiking. Heartbreaking, raw and gritty. But I loved every minute reading it.

I love Sheridan's writing. I've been in love since Archer's Voice.

I'm surprised to see her turn into this territory, the more mystery, horror genre.

Her characters are well written, all of them and she leaves clues all over the book, but still, the plot twists had me gasping and screaming at my phone.

Her descriptions are amazing! I love every single page, even the most disturbing ones.

I don't know if there's going to be another book, but I would love to read more about Evan and Noelle.

Engaging and entertaining. A recommended purchase for collections where crime and thrillers are popular.

This is a harrowing story of the abduction of Noelle Meyer and Evan Sinclair. Both awake in separate cages next to each other not knowing where they are or why they were abducted. They have a connection in that Evans father shot and killed Noelle’s mother, leading to great hardship for Noelle and her father. Despite this the two form a bond to work together to try to escape the torture and terror of their captivity.
The depravity and torture they experience at the hands of a rich mens game is horrific and makes for a hard hitting emotional story.
Some years after their escape they meet again each knowing that with the adversity they faced together there is a special bond between them and that they can’t help but fall in love.
Evan is now a private investigator and together they start to uncover why they were abducted, revealing all manner of conspiracy and sheer evil.
Hard hitting this is at times an uncomfortable but still excellent read, tense and exciting, but the real message here is the resilience of the human spirit to rise above terror and torture and to live a future life of fulfilment and happiness.

Evan and Noelle wake up in cages and find themself part of a twisted torture game. They manage to escape and agree to go their own ways to heal. Now, seven years later, Evan is looking into similar incidents and goes back to Noelle for help.

I was expecting this to be a lot more suspenseful than it was. It felt more like a perseverance story instead of a thriller. The last like 30% was more of that mystery thriller I wanted. Not a bad read, but not really a thriller I’d say.

I could see this being one of the next big Booktok books but this one wasn't for me. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but definitely not this dark, twisted, Saw-like storyline. It was incredibly graphic and needs clear warnings - I like to think I can read some pretty heavy stuff, but this was a bit much.

When I first started reading I didn't know if I would love it because I am not a huge fan of 3rd person writing but this story was so good and kept me engaged the entire time. I think this book would be perfect for someone who likes romance but wants to read a thriller but I will say that if you consider reading check the trigger warnings. I would HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone especially since the last 20% of the book my jaw was literally on the floor. Lots of twists and turns that I DID NOT see coming.

This was definitely an entertaining read from start to finish, but it was also quite violent and disturbing. The story seemed to savor the details of what the captives went through just a bit too much for my taste. And the premise was also a bit outlandish. But if you’re looking for something quite dark, there is definitely a lot to like here in this well-written and suspense-filled tale. And if you’re lucky, you won’t have too many nightmares afterwards.

I don’t know what I would label this as, maybe a mystery/thriller/horror/romance?

After waking up in cages, Evan and Noelle learn that they have been kidnapped. Not only that, but they are also forced to play a sick and twisted game by their “watchers”. Despite their connection that should force them apart, they decide to help each other and escape. “We leave here whole and together.”
Years later Evan is a PI and comes across a case that resembles what him and Noelle went through. After checking it out, he decides to find Nolle and bring up the past. They learn that the secrets they are looking for is from a man called The Collector.

While this story was hard to read at times (think Saw-ish) I did like the story and the ending and how two people rose above all the evil and something beautiful came from that - love. They works through their trauma and learned that life is precious and to find the beauty in things.

I would say this book does have some triggers, so be sure to brace yourself. It’s not for the faint of heart.

Their families have history and it’s not good, but these enemies become unlikely allies in order to survive. When they eventually escape their terror, their bond is both a blessing and a curse and they decide they need to go their separate ways to heal. Their past eventually draws them back together and there are so many secrets that are revealed that could tear them apart for good. I found this book disturbing and heartbreaking but also full of hope. We see the worst in people, but also the best. I loved how strong Noelle was and how loyal Evan was. They both went through hell, but eventually they found heaven in each other.
