This book was an enjoyable read with some fun twists. The story centers around Tillie, who finds herself in a whirlwind of chaos when her best friend’s wedding plans go awry. While the plot is engaging and the characters are likable, some parts felt a bit predictable. However, Knight’s humor and heart shine through, making it a pleasant read overall. I didn’t realise until reading the reviews that this book is part of a series which shows how well the book is written to be a series and stand alone.
Parts of the book had me laughing out load (the crabs on the beach!) whereas others were much more serious exploring different topics.
I did think parts were a slow burner and struggled to keep my attention but it did soon pick up.

A vacation fling turns into something more in this destination wedding, no strings affair that follows the sister of the bride home to Atlanta. This was fun and lighthearted and good on audio. temos um boy que nunca deixa outras mulheres entrar por traumas com uma e uma querida que ta enjoada do trabalho e sempre tentando tapar buraco na dinamica familiar e por fim se encontram numa ilha paradisiaca e se amam sem saber oq vai acontecer no final da viagem ja que um mora lá e o outro ta a passeio

eu gostei do livro pq ela foi bem levinho de ler, bem livrinho pra ler com uma soda italiana do lado, ou drinks mais elaborados se voce consome alcool, o ponto forte do livro pra mim foi o fato de que eles vao descobrindo juntos como combinar para que essa relação de certo, sem que um passe por cima do outro pq como alguem que já morou fora e que já gostou de alguem que morava fora o grande impasse é "como ficar juntos sem desistir de mim?" e isso é tao dificil pq tu fica pensando em diversas situações que podem dar errado pq é normal o ser humano ter ansiedade

enfim, não lembro dos hots pq eu tava tao focado em saber como e se eles iam ficar juntos que isso teve um peso maior pra me fazer gostar do livro

This book is amazing! Another great book from JJ Knight. The best part of this book was when the crabs came out of everywhere, even the bushes and they all went straight to the wedding that was in the beach. That scene would have been great to see in person

From the moment Tillie and Gabe lock eyes, you can feel the chemistry between them sizzling like a summer sunset on the beach. Their banter is witty and light, and their meet-cute is absolutely hilarious.

As the story unfolds, you start to realize that these two are kindred spirits who understand each other on a deep level. They share a passion for their work and a desire to make a difference in their communities. But as their vacation comes to an end, the harsh realities of their lives begin to intrude.

What I loved most about this book was the way Knight handled the characters' emotional journeys. Tillie's struggles to balance her loyalty to her sister with her own desires were relatable and heart-wrenching, while Gabe's backstory was both tragic and redemptive. The secondary characters, including his friends, added a delightful layer of humor and warmth to the story.

The epilogue brought me to tears, and I loved the way Knight tied up loose ends in a way that felt both cheesy and authentic.

There's just something that calls to me when there's a destination wedding in a romance novel. And through in a little healthy competition, I definitely can't resist! Tillie and Gabe had HOT chemistry and I loved them together. I didn't know upon reading that this is a follow-up to another book, so I do recommend reading the books in order if you want to avoid any relationship spoilers. But, if you're like me and you're a chaotic lil demon and read according to your mood, definitely pick this up when you have a Pina Colada in hand and you're laying on the beach. Or on your driveway in the sun pretending you're on a beach.

You won't be disappointed!

This was a fine romance. I read this while on vacation and felt it was a good choice for a vacation read.

The wedding shake-up is a perfectly charming romance that is lighter than air and that has very little active conflict. I found it really entertaining.

This was definitely a rom com and I loved everything about it. I have read a few of J J's books and I have not been disappointed yet.

i love love this writer, the way that she made me feel with the first instalment was another world. the plot was very good and I can't wait to read whatever she writes next. it was a lovely story and seeing my favourite couple get married was just what i needed it

This is a good book. The two main characters are Tillie and Gabe. They meet when Tillie’s sister is having a beach wedding just down the beach from Gabe’s hut. There is an instant attraction. Tillie has taken two weeks off for vacation on the island. They start dating. It gets to be the last day and they have to say goodbye. They work it out and fall in love.

All the way, yes to this read, it was such a cute book and I loved how sweet and romantic this was, and with the spice it had to oh my gosh, I will definitely be reading more from this author and can’t wait to continue this series! Five stars

This is the second book of the Wedding Meet Cute series. I have not read anything by this author before, but after reading this, I will definitely be going back and reading the first book. I had such fun reading it. It is a cute and sweet story that will having you smiling and laughing along the way through. Tillie travels to a destination wedding for her sister on La Jarra Island. While there, she meets a hot bartender, Gabe, who she first butts heads with but then the two are wildly attracted to each other and they start hanging out together. They both decide to keep it casual, since Tillie will be going back to Atlanta after the wedding. But the connection they share is deep and saying goodbye is harder than they thought.
A fun and flirty story, but not without its challenges! I enjoyed the relationship developing between Tillie and Gabe, they had such sizzling chemistry. And the banter between them was so much fun to read. A highly entertaining story I am glad to have had the opportunity to read!
