This was a weird book cover, but it was a great second chance romance read. I will definitely be reading more of Rosen in the future!
This was a fun rom com. I enjoyed the second chance aspect of the romance. I really liked the way the time went back and forth to really add more depth to the story.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read and review an advanced copy of this novel. I highly enjoyed it and will be recommending it to others.
A heartwarming, life-affirming novel about the beauty in keeping your heart open to myriad possibilities - the writing is simple and great and the characters sound like some of my closest friends! <3
It got a bit old towards the end. Parts dragged a bit too much. The FMC was not the smartest a lot of the time. I unfortunately was not the biggest fan of this book.
Ali Rosen’s "Recipe for Second Chances" is a heartwarming and uplifting novel that beautifully combines the art of cooking with the journey of personal transformation. Rosen’s engaging writing and relatable characters create a delightful narrative about love, second chances, and the healing power of food. The story weaves together themes of forgiveness and renewal, all set against a backdrop of delicious recipes and culinary delights. With its blend of warmth, humor, and heartfelt moments, "Recipe for Second Chances" offers a satisfying and enriching reading experience that will resonate with fans of feel-good fiction and food enthusiasts alike.
Recipe for Second Chances by Ali Rosen is rom com set in Italy. The Italian countryside was honestly my favorite part of the book. The storyline itself was hard to follow. The book goes back and forth in time so much that the story is confusing and not cohesive. I felt it really hard to read. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.
This second chance romance was a fun and easy read. Perfect for foodies and armchair travelers alike! Make sure to check out the yummy recipes at the end of the book.

Recipe for Second Chances is a love story about Stella and Samuel from the beginning to seeing each other nine years later at a friends wedding in Umbria, Italy. The book is a second chance romance that was well written with great characters and I look forward to reading more books by the author. Overall I enjoyed this one and would recommend this book to any reader who loves a good romance. Thank you to NetGalley and publisher for this book in exchange of my honest review of Recipe for Second Chances.
This was such a fun read! A wedding, Italian adventure, and second chance romance! What’s not to love! I really enjoyed this story, the writing, and I’m obsessed with Samuel! It lost a couple points for me because I think Stella held onto her past for a little too long, and it was more annoying than something driving the story towards the end. I definitely recommend this book as a nice and light romance read for the summer!

I always love a good book that revolves around food and travel and love going to other countries in books (and in real life too). This is a quick and easy read adn one I enjoyed and was very entertained by. The characters are good and the story flows well. There is fun and humour and a bit of romance as well.
I enjoyed the journey I was taken on, the recipes and food I encountered and the hunger I endured. This is my kind of book and I look forward to seeing what comes next from this author. A great read.
Thank you NetGalley and Montlake for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

What a glorious book. It took me on a journey through grief, loss and love, recipe by recipe. The characters are written with such empathy and compassion you can't help but fall in love with them. I am now going on my own journey as I work my way through the wonderful recipes hidden within the pages. Highly recommended
thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy. I really enjoyed this and will be getting copies for my shop.
Amazing book!
I was thoroughly engaged throughout this book and I didn't want to put it down! The author captured my attention from the get go! Five stars from me :)
Thank you for approving my request, NetGalley :) I enjoyed reading this book and I believe people who have gone through an interesting past could also relate. It's all about the feels.. So much feels in love and whether people deserve second chances.
Thank you Netgalley and Montlake for the chance to review this book. I, like many others apparently, struggled to like the MC. I have nothing against casual sex or catching feelings, but this storyline was not for me. Firm believer in the idea that not every book is for everyone.
This was a cute and enjoyable read and I would be definitely open to reading other books by Ali Rosen in the future. I enjoyed it! If you like romcoms you will enjoy this book. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for granting access to this book in exchange for my review.
The RECIPE FOR SECOND CHANCES is a journey of Stella’s journey learning to trust others as well as believe in herself - in taking chances. Stella’s view of love is severely thwarted by watching the surprise ending of her sister’s marriage and her sister’s devastation in the wake of being abandoned. She copes by keeping most people and things at a distance so that she won’t have to experience the same loss. Thanks to her core group of friends from school - and a persistent suitor named Samuel - she learns to take a chance.
Thank you to NetGalley and Montclair for the advanced ecopy of this book that was published on November 1, 2023.
I just don't like books with sexual flings and too much sex scenes, so overall this book did not click for me. I also found the main character kind of insufferable.
