I love this series. The series does have some issues with being really baby accessible but parents will love it.

From sunshine to snow and everything in between, we loves hearing the narrator walk through all the basic meteorological terms. The audiobook was engaging and magical. We live in Wisconsin, and we have monthly severe weather alarms go off. When the wind is blowing and the sky is loud with lights and booms, my son always wanted to crawl into bed with us. I appreciated this book dissipating some of that mystery, and subsequently the fear that comes along with severe weather. While my son probably doesn't fully understand yet, he will because I plan to keep this story in rotation.

I really liked the narrator of this book. It had a lot of factual information it. As an audiobook, I think it would need to be used with the actual book for youngsters to be engaged. I do not know that they would be engaged by audio alone.

May daughter (almost 2) and I really enjoyed listening to this one. The narrator has a great voice and there was a little kid doing some of the responses. Tay loves listening to other children so she peeked right up at those parts!

I can't say how much she retained but I think if I randomly play this series when we're in the car she'll pick things up. Kids are little sponges, for better or worse. She did seem to be paying attention which was really cool.

I definitely plan to continue the series!

A short little book explaining day to day weather that kids might experience in understandable language. It's informative, and it's especially nice that it explains thunderstorms in a clear way that helps remove some of the mystery and fear.

We love talking weather in our house! The kids are fascinated by it. The nonfiction information in this book is great for little minds, and the narrator and sound effects bring it to life, capturing the child audience.

These audiobooks are so fun! Perfect for audio listening in the car, or around the house while doing other activities. It can be listened to multiple times without kids getting bored.

Thank you Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for this advanced audio copy.

Such a fun, adorable, and educational book. It stayed short and to the point so it’s great for the attention span of young children. My grand daughter really liked it. Looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.

Audio About 6m

My timing was perfect as raindrops from those "fluffy things", as the child narrator called clouds at one point, started falling as I listened. I really liked the sound effects on this one, particularly the sound of thunder and lightning that the child imitated. Having a child participate in the narrations is a wonderful idea and most definitely should make it easier for children to relate. There are a few big words but given the role weather plays in our lives nowadays, I'm guessing they're words most children have heard most.

Some clever word play, too. For instance, the adult narrator talks about wind socks as a tool and the child basically wonders, "The wind has socks?" I didn't note the exact phrasing but it was perfect. Exactly the sort of thing a young, curious child might ask. The adult narrator has a playful, occasionally matter-of-fact tone that, combined with fun sound effects and effective timing, make this a winner. Short and sweet, really less than 6m listed, so as not to stretch young attention spans, and manages to convey a great deal of information in the fun process.

Thanks #NetGalley and #MacmillanAudio - #MacmillanYoungListeners as well as #RoaringBrookBooks for making this fun learning experience available. Now, if those fluffy things in the sky would just take the rain elsewhere for a bit.

Three books in and I'm still amused by this kid's voice. Here for rainbows.

My kids thought this was a fun little audiobook and enjoyed listening to it with their breakfast. I think there could be a little more excitement and such to make it draw the kids in and keep their attention a little better though.

I absolutely love this series. The narrators are fantastic and make everything easy to digest. I love that childs voices are added in too. This is an awesome way to introduce kids to scientific topics. I found this one about weather to be really cute and actually pretty informative. Its funny how much you forget about just the basics of life. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Nerdy Babies on audio are great, quick audiobooks for me to play for my kindergartner on quick trips in the car to keep him entertained. It peaks his interest and he asks more questions about the topics he listened to.

I love the addition of sounds and children's voices instead of it being a solo narrator. It adds a bit of whimsy and keeps it from just being an information dump.

Another great Nerdy Babies book. The audiobook was really good. It was fun and engaging. The book was a great explanation of weather that is easily understandable for young children. There were some parts that I felt was a bit harder to understand, such as some of the terminology and equipment.

I love the use of catchy intro and accent music, and the question format and child's voice is fantastic. As with the other books in this series, I'm confused by the very short length of the audiobook. I think it would have been better if it was ten to fifteen minutes long, instead of just five minutes.

Nerdy Babies: Weather (Audiobook) is so fun! The book itself features many different types of weather, with fun informational facts. The audiobook includes fun sound effects—I particularly enjoyed the xylophone rainbow—as well as excited kids to voice the dialogue, making it a fun listen. I know a meteorologist who is expecting, and I think this book will be the perfect baby shower gift.
