As expected from a middle grade book, this is full of angst. I do love the portrayal of anxiety and OCD and how the author addressed it at the end. I also struggle with both of those things and would've felt more comfortable with those quirks had I read this as a kid.
BEST FRIENDS by Shannon Hale is a fun relatable read to any young tween/teen. I am writing this review on behalf of my daughter who has read Real Friends.
She enjoyed the book and found it relatable. We had the audiobool version. Though she said it was entertaining, she felt she would have preferred the graphic novel better. She preferred the first book to this one. She rated it a 4.5/5.
A sincere Thank you to NetGallery and the Publisher for the audiobook version of this graphic novel.
