This is the best thriller I have read so far this year! I cannot believe all the turns it takes in what is a fantastic storyline! Emma's husband suffered a bad accident and she goes to a bereavement group run by Faith. There, Emma meets Sam who is Faith's brother who recently lost his wife in a fire. The two of them hit it off and when when Emma discovers she is pregnant, they get married. Shortly after the marriage, Emma begins to question a lot of thngs about both Sam and his sister Faith. Hold onto your hat for this rollercoaster of a ride in this very suspenseful read that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC of this fantastic read that I highly recommend.
I found this to be really enjoyable. The pacing was very good, every chapter advanced the plot and it definitely kept me interested. The midway twist was brilliant - I absolutely didn't see it coming. There were many layers to the plot and it was fun to uncover them all.
The only issue I had was that the characters were a little bit thin - Emma was your typical doormat MC and the 'bad guy' was a bit movie villain, but otherwise this was a very good book and I would recommend it.
So many twists and turns that I never saw coming, The Bigamist drew me in striaght away, such an addictive read.
The Bigamist by Rona Halsall is a fast-paced read that will have your head spinning. The narrative kicks into high gear almost immediately and does not let go until the very end.
Emma is attending a support group for those who are grieving the loss of someone close to them. It is here where she meets Sam, and on the surface he seems to be all that she has been looking for. But is Sam the man he presents himself to be and, in fact, is anyone showing their true self in this twisty, brilliantly crafted and compelling tale?
Rona Halsall has delivered yet again, and her legions of fans will not be disappointed by this latest offering. 4.5 stars
Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for an ARC.
I love Rona Halsall books and this psychological thriller is no exception.
She always manages to hook you into the story and invest in the characters from the very beginning and I found myself feeling for Emma.from the start. Emma has lost her mother, her unborn child and her husband in a very short space of time and finds herself at a bereavement group where she meets Faith Barclay. Faith introduces her to her brother, Sam, and from there the story unfolds.
Twists and turns galore, I could not put this book down and read it within 24 hours. It was hard to work out who was evil and who wasn't by the end.

Edge of your seat thriller a book with so many twists and turns.Who is the bigamist him or her so well written so involving a true page turner.#netgalley #bookouture
Omg I was blown away! So from the start, I loved how original the premise sounded and couldn't wait to get stuck in and jeez, once I started then I couldn't get enough! I was flying through the pages and completely captivated. The twists are genius and so masterfully done. You do not see them coming and they have your jaw on the ground. The plot is well paced and always moves forward. There's no paragraphs of pointless blurb just to up the word count, once this book starts...... it doesn't stop until the last page! I devoured it in a day and have absolutely no regrets
My Review:
Loved!!!!! Once again this author delivered such an enjoyable entertaining read. I do want to say though once you start this one you will have to finish otherwise you will get nothing else done. In fact, I flipped through the pages so fast just so I could get something else done for the day. Ok let’s talk characters. For me, the characters are what made this book. I didn’t who or what to trust out of any of them. All of them had something to hide and were very shady. Next up the plot. What could more interesting than a husband who hides the fact that he is married to someone else. I don’t know how he did it. I have a hard time being to one person let alone two. Last but not least that heart attack of an ending. I kept saying OMG. I had a thought from the very beginning on where this one was headed but I still can not believe. It was full of twists and turns. Never trust anyone but yourself. Also, if you have a feeling something is off than it probably is. Trust your gut. Rona Halsall really outdid herself with this one and I can’t wait for you to write more. All of them have been so fantastic to read. I will say though this was my favorite to date.
In conclusion, the plot, the characters and all the twists in this book made this book an enjoyable read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks to #Bookouture and #Netgalley for and #ARC of #TheBigamist.
This book is a twisting turning race to the end, just when you think you have it all figured out you're wrong again. It was hard to put this book down. All is not as it seems.
Wow! I think I have whiplash from all of the fabulous twists in this book. It’s definitely a breakneck speed page turner and I read it in two sittings as I had to find out what the hell was going on. The ending left me speechless. Brilliant!
I loved the way the story opened with Emma attending a bereavement therapy group. Soon after, Faith and Sam were introduced. As the relationships developed I was totally hooked.
The Bigamist is a fantastically fast read with plenty of what-the-hell and wow moments. A must read for psychological thriller fans!
A shock beginning lays the path for this book, an interesting subject and not one I have encountered very often so was keen to see how the story was told and the subject covered
We meet Emma who is attending a group where people who have lost someone close go for help, advice and comfort, here she meets Sam and she feels she has ‘bonded’ over grief, but is Sam all he seems to be?, and that is the theme running through the book with all the characters we meet; is anyone as they appear to be? As the book progresses more comes to light and as things get more complex we find out that they are not…..
A dark, twisted and cleverly written tale with a big bang of an ending…..Ultimately is as always with this author a full on psychological thriller that you never quite know where it is leading or taking you…..needs to be a Netflix 5 parter, superb all round

Wow! This novel was fast paced with so many twist it had my mind BLOWN every page down to the last sentence!!!
🏡
Emma turns up at a bereavement meeting after her husbands tragic accident. She becomes friends with one of the counselors and her brother.
🏡
Sam and Emma have so much in common as Sam lost his wife and they start planning a future together. Emma is pregnant and Sam’s job as an architect keeps him away from home for half the week. Thankfully his sister Faith is there to help. Emma has come into a lot of money and Sam is intent on building their dream home!
🏡
This novel has deception all over it since the title alone grabs you! Who is the bigamist? So many lies, twists and acts of revenge that my mind was spinning to keep up with all the twists.

A must read for this who love a mind blowing psychological twist! You won’t want to miss out on this one. Thank you Bookouture and Netgalley for this advanced copy due out July 5.

Is she a bigamist or is he? This book had me hooked! I was so intrigued by the premise of this book and it honestly was so much better than I expected it to be it is an incredible read. Some unlikable characters. Truthfully, I couldn’t put it down. I love books with this kind of pace. Great book and congrats. I’m sure many more will enjoy it as well.
A complex plot where it’s actually unclear who the bigamist actually is, Emily actually annoyed me and I was hoping that she get a backbone. Having said that it was a gripping read.
Bigamist him or her? Hmmmm
Interesting storyline. Was great buildup to everything happening. Dragged a bit for me on the building part. Great character developments. Definitely had you wondering in parts. Not twist but suspenseful.
Thanks to the author, the publisher and NetGalley for an early release of this book.
This book was sent to me electronically by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher for the copy and the author. Realistic characters keep the story moving quickly. Mystery and intrigue keep the reader guessing. Fiction that reads like nonfiction at times.
Emma is married to Sam but then has a dreaded phone call with another woman claiming to be his other wife. Sam seems to be have been keeping secrets recently, however is he the only one who has things to hide?
This was such an entertaining thriller. The pacing was great and I became gripped to the story early on, so much so that I read the whole book in one afternoon. I never knew who to trust and loved the creeping sense of unease throughout the story. I also appreciated the mass of surprises. I had plenty of shock moments throughout the book! I enjoy books where the story goes in random, unexpected directions and this is exactly what I got. The characters are quite unlikeable and some of their actions were questionable. There were also a few far fetched moments, however these do not detract from the overall story and it is definitely a book I had a lot of fun reading. This is the first book I’ve read by Rona Halsall and I will definitely be checking out the rest of her books. I won’t hesitate in recommending this to other readers! 4.5 stars. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this early copy in return for an honest review.
This is an excellent thriller. The main character kept me annoyed though out the book. Is any women really that stupid? Is she a bigamist or is he? This book kept me slightly confused as it really doesn’t have a good party both parties are really unlikable individuals. Overall it’s worth reading.
