I had a hard time getting into this novel, unfortunately. The dialogue was a bit forced, tedious, and unnatural, and I never felt for or cared about the characters and what they were doing as a result. And there was a lot of exposition (telling) instead of plot development and action (showing), which significantly slowed the overall narrative and made it seem more report-like, as opposed to novel-like. The idea of the novel was a good one. I just really wanted to care more about the characters and what they were doing and going through in the end.
