I loved reading this book! I really enjoy Christina Henry's books, and this latest one where one lady wakes up in a life that doesn't seem to be hers, sounded really fantastic, and these other two are in tricky situations, I wanted to know what was going on, and how things were all connected!

I loved the way that we were told this story. We would focus on one lady, and start to understand her story and mystery, and then we would jump to the next lady, until we had all 3, And then things were woven together, and oh, it was just so good! On the surface, these different ladies lives seem like they can't be connected in some way, they're different, with different particulars and situations. The overarching mystery of their connections? Loved it!

Getting to know these characters, yeah, they were all in rough situations that was difficult for each of them, like it was designed to maximise how awful it was for the individual. Tension kept rising, because we got to know these ladies, and oh, it was so good!

Really, this is such a well done story. I was on the edge of my seat, wondering how they were going to deal with their specific situation, what was going on. That ending was so great, but I do wish there had been more, I always want more!

This was a fantastic read, and I can't wait to read more by Christina Henry!

This book was brilliant. Fabulous concept, incredible execution, terrific characters. The big reveal was perfect. Don't bother asking "how," just climb aboard and enjoy the ride.

I think my favorite part about Good Girls Don't Lie is the fact that it was broken up into three parts with three different women. It's like they all find themselves in their own personal nightmare and then the fourth part of the book ties everything together. The pace was high and thrilling in the beginning and while the end wasn't as satisfying as I hoped it was definitely an interesting and entertaining read.

This story started out promising. It was very intriguing when Celia woke up to a life she didn't remember. I just didn't believe the motives of the bad guy: He's murdering women from an online mystery book club because... he hates women. I just wanted there to be some depth towards this character using his money and privilege to track randoms down. It has an interesting concept I'm just not sure the story was for me.

This book was extremely interesting and I really enjoyed it...

Although I would have loved if each story had its own book because I wanted to know way more of the details and dynamics, I inhaled this book. I had my favorite story and my least favorite, but I was quite interested in all of them.

Christina Henry is a fabulous writer and she always knows how to keep her readers on their toes. This book was no exception!

This held my interest and had me wanting to stay in this world (as an observer, because duck these situations these women found themselves in) to see what happens. I was rooting for each of the main characters, and holy buckets is this all the "I would choose the bear" vibes. I would have liked to see the big bad get caught up in the legal system, but that's because I'm a petty witch. I'm not upset by the ending by any means. Overall, a good story that had me hooked.

Three women find themselves in scenarios that are far-fetched and nightmarish. While they love certain genres and tropes, it is very different in real life. They know what to do because they know the rules of the genres and tropes. But what happens when the bad guys don't play by the rules? A sick game and there are no winners, only survivors.

Good Girls Don’t Die by Christina Henry is really a suspenseful thriller novel that does have a side of horror to it. The story in Good Girls Don’t Die is one that does change the point of view between the three main characters. The book also has a unique format in almost feeling as if reading three individual novellas that eventually intertwine together for the final chapters.

Celia awakens one day with the sense that things just aren’t right around her and her memory is foggy at best. What Celia does feel is that the house she’s in and the man calling himself her husband aren’t really familiar at all. Then there’s the little girl supposed to be her daughter, she’d remember a daughter wouldn’t she?

Allie is supposed to be going on a fun trip with a few close friends when her friend’s boyfriend decides to invite more people and turn it into a remote camping weekend at a cabin in the woods. Allie is definitely out of her comfort zone but when she falls asleep while driving having no clue how they got to the cabin she can’t help but feel things aren’t right.

Maggie wakes up to being hostage along with a group of other women around her and is told that her daughter is in danger. Willing to do anything to get home safe to her daughter Maggie goes along with what is being requested of her until things start going a little too far and those around her begin dying.

Good Girls Don’t Die by Christina Henry to me was a book that once I picked it up I couldn’t put it down. The story begins following the first character to a certain cliffhanger then jumps to the next and by the time I’ve been introduced to all three women and there situations I was completely in a trance trying to figure out the end. This is probably one that most folks need to suspend a little disbelief but I found it all to be an exciting page turner from start to finish.

This book was so unbelievably unique I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going on. It had all of my favorite sub genres of “murder mystery”, “house in the woods slasher”, and “competition dystopian games”. I really liked how this was almost like three short stories then we got to uncover what actually was happening and tied everything in. I think the only aspect I didn’t like is the fact this book showcased how the thing women need to be the most scared of is insecure men in their lives. I think the fact that abusers and men who try to bring women down or incels who get mad at women online for having opinions outside of what they expect women’s places to be. I just think it showcases the horror of womanhood and that there is a reason we choose the bear over than man in that scenario.

This was a total mood read pick when I grabbed it, and I had a fun time trying to figure out the story. With multiple POVs between three different women, as they each find themselves in lives that are not their own.

A genius play on several mystery/horror tropes, extremely feminist, and had hints of Don't Worry Darling. Absolutely loved this one!

Three stories of women with individual frightening experiences that eventually interconnect into one disturbing experience.

Good Girls Don't Die has four parts - one for each of the three women, and the final part, where the stories come together. I enjoyed the individual parts more than the final part. While I found the ending to be a bit of a disappointment, I still was entertained by the book.

A fast-paced and suspenseful thriller. Recommended for fans of mixed genres and strong female leads.

I read Near the Bone by this author and could barely get through it because it was annoying and slow. I wanted to try something else by this author to give them the benefit of the doubt. When I started this one, I felt the same way I did with NtB. It was just dragging too much for me. I don't want to put myself through that pain again. I didn't really care for the characters, especially Celia. However, I was okay with Maggie and her POV. I come to the conclusion that this author's books aren't for me. I will no longer read anything by this author.

This book started out slow for me. So slow in fact that I put it down for 2 weeks before I was like, 'oh yeah, that book, let's give it another try.' Once I got past the boring-ness and righteousness of Celia, and to the nitty gritty where she definitively finds out that something is not right, that is when I got into it. Her part also spent too much time describing things which bores me; I would rather build things up in my mind. I don't need you spending pages describing the woods and house to me. Give me a little something-something, but don't overdo it.

The story that saved this book for me was Maggie's. The obstacle course setting, plus the characters, all made for a good time. Allie's was alright, but I was kind of expecting more from it, especially considering the author made Allie such a horror buff. I guess I just thought the story was going to be scarier.

I also didn't like the ending. Celia had to go and ruin it again! I wanted there to be punishment, consequences, suffering, maybe some blood, not that. I suppose the story started out lame so it had to end lame too.

Celia doesn't recognize her daughter. She doesn't remember her husband. And she has somehow forgotten her past. She runs a restaurant where, thankfully, the recipes come to her with ease. She certainly doesn't remember the grumpy old lady who harasses her regularly or the cop who responds in kind. And then the lady winds up dead in Celia's restaurant's dumpster.

Allie was supposed to be celebrating her birthday on a beach vacation with her two best friends. But plans soon change and they wind up at a remote cabin in the woods with the friends' boyfriends in tow. When she's awakened by strange noises in the night, she knows something is wrong. But as a horror movie fanatic, her friends are ready to write off her fears.

Maggie has somehow wandered into a red-life competition that resembles the dystopian novels she's so fond of. She and a handful of other women are set on a timed course where failure could literally mean death!

All three women quickly realize there's something very wrong with their stories. But even they can't imagine just how twisted the plot is!

I wasn't sure where this one was going when I first started reading.

We meet Celia first. As noted, she runs a restaurant, where she is most comfortable because at least she can remember how to cook the dishes they serve! But at home everything feels off. At first she thinks its her. But she soon becomes suspicious.

By the time we get to Allie, we know something weird is going on. But Allie's experience is completely different than Celia's. Allie is with her friends. Allie is supposed to be celebrating her birthday at the beach until her friends' significant others tag along and change the plan. But that's when things go pear shaped for Allie!

When we reach Maggie, we're well aware that things aren't going to go her way.

I don't want to spoil the plot, but this is truly a fun book for book lovers and a great addition to Henry's collection of work!

I simply could not stay interested in this. I had a hard time keeping track and I didn't like them coming together. And normally I don't care, but it was all just so unbelievable, I started mentally checking out.
