This book delivered on the steamy fun time I was looking for !

As a single girl I can relate to the fun that is online dating and I found dating app concept super fun.

A second chance office romance with characters that actually communicate? Yes please.

Some things that did not work for me was the earlier chats between them on the app. I found some of the dialogue a little cringy and found it a bit hard to push through to part 2 of the book.

The spice was Devine and a solid 3 🌶️🌶️🌶️

HOOKED me enough to be keen for book 2

I really enjoyed the premise of this story, particularly the communication over the app, however part of me feels like everything was resolved far too quickly and easily. The twist/big reveal was also very obvious. This didn't detract from the story though, and i found it was well written. This is my first time reading anything from Marni Mann and I enjoyed her writing style so would probably read more of her books in the future.

A good 3.75 book for me. I really enjoyed most of the story. I liked the characters. There was some good banter and spicy scenes. It just felt really fast for me. One of those I know I read the book but could only tell you one thing that happened. It was hard to connect with the characters since we didn’t get any real depth to them. Like for Holden, ummm how did that happen? I also felt like Drake was a really bad friend to Saara. It was always her her her and never gave anything back.

I loved the whole dating app concept and how it was tied into the plot. It kept it fun and interesting in the beginning which immediately got me wanting to continue reading. I’m always a sucker for dual POV. The author did a great job at keeping my interest throughout the book and maintained good pacing. I loved both the male and female main characters (Easton and Drake), and the friend(s) each of them had. The care that Easton has for her and guiding their relationship was so sweet. And he calls her “Love” ?!!? Obsessed. I love that neither of them ever waived from each other and would have actual conversations. Drake was a little more reserved about vocalizing her feelings I think but it fit with them and they both reassured each other. For the third act problem that occurred, I appreciated it wasn’t miscommunication and that their feelings didn’t waiver from each other. I liked that it took me a little by surprise and how it was solved. The only thing I feel like I missed out on was a little more detail into what happened in each of their lives while they were apart. I think that could’ve added more to the story, or at least had then talk more about it. But overall I loved this story and the epilogue was such a cute way of tying up the book!

I had such a fun time reading this book. I was binge reading this when I had the free time, it was addicting!!

Easton and his friends had made a hook up app and it was made for only a one night stand type of hook up, no strings attached. But the app had matched him with a 100% with another user on the app and the connection well obviously was there because the match was at a 100%….. and the rest is history and you’ll have to read to find out more :)

10/10 worth the read.

This was a good and steamy second chance romance story with great characters, a great storyline and a sweet ending. I enjoyed the conversations between Easton and SaarasLove but I loved Easton and Drake even more. The chemistry between them were undeniable and I enjoyed the steamy scenes. I liked that Drake told Easton who she was and that the story didn't drag it out. This story was sweet and steamy with a touch of suspense and betrayal. I would definitely read more books from this author. and recommend this one to anyone looking for a steamy romance story.

Easton and Drake. Easton is the owner of a new dating app with his best friends. Drake joins temporarily when she needs some excitement in her life. Unbeknownst to Drake, she is matched to Easton, the creator. They only know each other by their account names. They hit it off instantly and have great chemistry and good banter. But soon, Drake is pulling away, without explanation, and Easton is getting burned.
Fast forward many years, Easton is CEO for the app company and Drake is applying for a position. They have an instant connection and it doesn’t take long until Drake discovers this is the past guy she had a connection with and soon tells Easton. I appreciate the quick communication between these two and that the story didn’t drag out the surprise. Also, there was no ridic communication or drama section that gets on my nerves. The story did take a bit to have an actual storyline but once you get into Part 2 it gets better. Love how the couple stuck with each other and trusted each other. Good story. This is a pretty quick read so for some entertainment, and steamy love, just read.

After creating a new dating/hookup app Easton or Mr Boston finds himself with a rare 100% match, love. Him and love eventually meet up and Easton really begins to feel like he could fall in love with her and he’s never had feelings like this for anyone else but then love disappears and Easton is left heartbroken.

Then we skip to five years in the future where hooked (his app) is the number one dating app in the country and Easton meets Drake hooked newest recruit and he begins to feel that all to familiar feeling that he once felt for love, but don’t worry there is a very good reason for that😉

This book book was very fun and the characters chemistry was just *chefs kiss* I loved the first part of the book where we got to see their origins and i also loved the second part giving me the forbidden office romance it was just PERFECTION. i was initially worried that there would be a love triangle but i’m thankful to report that’s not the case.

Overall this was a super cute steamy read!!!!
and I’m really excited to read for the rest of the series as well

Thank you netgalley for providing me with an arc in exchange for my honest review!!!

Very sexy, very romantic and very hot. A fast, exciting read with characters that I fell in love with myself and fought their battles with them. Tangled lies and trust issues, excellent coding and work environments and a lovely tale,

I loved the will-they or won’t-they feeling that there was from the very beginning with Love, so when she was just suddenly gone, I felt cheated. However, I loved Drake for Easton instantly, so I knew there was a reason for everything. She was his equal from the very beginning which I adored. I won’t spoil the book, but I definitely was not upset with the ending!

In my eyes, Marni can do no wrong. I have yet to read one of her books that I did not LOVE. I adore her writing, it is always seamless integration of plot and steam. Mr. Hook-up was no different. I loved it. 4.5/5 stars!

While this may not have been my favorite Marni Mann book, I still had a good time reading it! The concept of them having this strong connection via the MMC's dating app, Hooked, was fun. Not only because of their conversations but because of how they met up again years later. The forbidden element combined with their past connection leads to some serious steam. The best part of the book for me was how the author tied in characters and storylines from her other books. I am such a sucker for interconnected books, especially if they are not technically in the same series. Overall, I thought this was a fun book to binge. My one complaint was really that the first part felt a bit rushed, and I would have liked to see more there, but would still recommend to others!

This book just wasn't for me. I usually love insta-love but for me this one just didn't work. That goes for the spice in it as well, though it started almost right away it just didn't grab me like I wanted it to. The writing voice just wasn't the best and I honestly didn't care for the characters at all. All around I just wanted more out of this book, more story less talk.

Easton Jones! You are quite the heart stopping, gorgeous, dominant alpha male of many a fantasy including mine!

When Easton and his closest university friends begin a new dating app - Hooked - it makes sense as a single guy to dip his toe in and try it for himself. Strictly for research purposes you understand....... What he wasn't expecting was a 100% match and sets out to discover who this lady is and whether the app is accurate in its assessment.

I am loathe to include spoilers here but suffice to say, a steamy night of masked anonymity ensues and then circumstances collude to keep these perfectly matched lovers apart....for years!!!

This was extremely well crafted with characters you can really get behind.

Drake, the FMC heroine is a beautiful woman sure, and these are often non relatable to us mere mortals, but she is someone we can identify with., her insecurities and need to prove herself professionally.

There is a plot twist or two but I wanted just a tad more angst, maybe even a bit more of Easton chasing Drake once she reemerges. This is just the drama queen in me though.

This is a thoroughly entertaining and satisfying love story which is both quirky and seriously hot. A new author to me but I aim to remedy that.

Marni Mann is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. This book hit all the right spots. I adored the main characters and it had the perfect amount of spice. After reading this, I’m so excited for the rest of the series. An added bonus? A cameo of some old favorites from another series!

I received an Advanced Reader Copy by NetGallery for an honest review.

3.75 ⭐️ 3.5🌶

Loved this! Excited to continue this series! I love Drake & Easton. Good banter & spice and no unnecessary 3rd act conflict.

Quick, spicy read and Marni knows how to write spicy scenes.

Definitely add this to your TBR! Thank you to Negalley & Marni for an advanced copy!

A great smutty read!
If you want a spicy read with a different take on the second chance romance trope, you need to pick up Mr. Hook-up.
It's told in two parts (Part 1 being the past & Part 2 being the present). Both parts are equally intriguing and fun. There's insta-love between the characters but I was okay with it here since their chemistry is insane.
The spicy delivers too! I needed to fan myself multiple times.
100% would recommend.

Mr. Hook-up follows the story of Easton and Drake. At first they meet via Hooked, a new dating app started by Easton and his two close friends. They speak anonymously and click straight away, even meeting at a masquerade ball. But they don't know the other's name or where they work.
5 and a half years later, the messages between the two have stopped and Easton is busy working for his company when Drake walks in - she's a new member of staff and there is something familiar about her. Drake feels the attraction straight away and begins to suspect that he is Mr. Boston - her anonymous hook-up from years prior.
This is a very steamy romance with chemistry from the get-go and no third act conflict which I always appreciate! I liked discovering more about the two characters, especially that Drake is one of the most talented people in her field, one usually dominated by men. We also see the change that Easton goes through when he meets his anonymous lover and then later on, Drake, as he goes from a playboy to completely monogamous and smitten when he falls in love. A fun and steamy read!

Things I liked:

- As always with Marni's books, the steam is A+. There's a lot of it but it doesn't ever feel repetitive.
- I loved the structure of past and present and how the connection they felt initially was felt immediately upon meeting again too, even though neither of them knew why.
- No third act breakup

I'm hoping Grayson, Holden and Saara get their own stories next.

This book wasnt my favorite. It felt like it was more smut than plot. But it was still well written!
