What happens when you match 100% with someone on a dating app that's like a unicorn occurrence to happen.
Easton along with with his best friends, Grayson and Holden have founded an app that let's people maintain their anonymity but also get connected to people who are not interested in the courtship and the hassle but just in that one thing.
When Easton matches 100% with a user SaarasLove aka Love, he first doesn't believe it to be true. How can there be such a perfect match.
But soon Easton and his mysterious lady start connecting over texts and calls and realise that there is indeed something between them that's both of them have never felt before and is definitely special.
What is more intriguing is that even though they become so close together yet they have no clue about their names nor their faces.
It was fascinating and honestly the raw and real connection between these two made me feel like I was right there falling in love with them. AHH.. The way those scenes are written will make you feel that feeling of Falling for someone and not knowing what to do with all those unknown feelings.
Fast forward now, Easton and his friends have taken their business to new heights and even though 'Love' is in his past now he doesn't do relationships.
But when the new candidate for the Director position walks in, Easton can't help but question the familiar feels that Drake Madden makes him feel.
I absolutely loved the pacing of this storyline, how we are given a complete front seat to how Easton and Love fall for each other.
But also the reveals are so well done... AHH... During that once scene when Love reconnects with Easton all those years later, I felt like I was so on edge wanting to know urgently how and what all would happen.
Easton is SUCH A SWEETHEART, OH MY GOODNESS. THAT MAN MELTED ME, SEDUCED ME AND MADE ME FALL FOR HIM. πππ
Even though Drake made me question a few things as to why she did the things she did, but I definitely warmed up to her and liked that girl for how she had built her career and was such a confident lady. But what I loved more is Drake was a perfect balance of warmth and competency, the way she takes charge and yet is accommodating where her team or even her ex team is concerned.
The twist towards the end just shocked me and I was so upset for what happens. But once again I loved how our hero proves why he's the hero and the love that Drake and Easton share is definitely something very special.
One of the highlights of this book has to be the UBER HOT, RAW, ππΎπππΊπ
chemistry Drake and Easton share. Trust me the way Easton slowly tastes her, smells her and then the next moment does wild things to her had my head spinning. Definitely another will-melt-you-from-all-the-heat kinda ride. Loved loved this one. β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
The whole concept of this one was SO fun! I love for a second chance romance and this was so unique!! I was just screaming for them to open their eyes and realize who it was π€ they had such great chemistry literally from day 1!!! i loved the workplace forced proximity, it made for such a good time
When Easton and his friends create the ultimate hookup app, naturally they have to try it out . A shocked Easton gets a 100% match . He decides he has to meet his perfect match .
Drake is working and finishing college. She is looking for a hook up , when she gets on the new hookup app , she has a 100% match. They meet , have a mind blowing hook up , then drake disappears.
Five years later, Hooked app is about to launch internationally. Easton finally ready to move on, the problem is now the woman he couldnβt get out of his head is back and wants to meet.
What a story!

I loved this book! Marni has yet again written a dirty talking, swoony alpha male you can't help but fall in love with. Easton was the perfect mix of sweet and sexy and I just ate it up. He was smart and dedicated, to not only his friends, but the business they created together. He was the guy you could count on no matter what. When he got the perfect 100% match with "Love" a switched flipped, and he found himself wanting more than just a hookup.
I had a feeling when we met "Love" things weren't going to go Easton's way. There were a lot of true, raw emotions between the two of them, and the turmoil Easton faced when things didn't go as planned was so freaking sad.
We find out later who "Love" really is, and it's clear that she thought she was doing the best for herself. She had a budding career and made promises to her mother that she would be the best she could be.
When they finally got together, it was just pure magic. All the feelings and chemistry was just so amazing. It just felt so raw and real coming off the pages. Such an amazing story!

A fast-paced, easy second chance romance about Easton and Drake.
The story is divided in before and after, the former being their texts on the Hooked app and the latter being five years later and them having a boss/employee relationship.
This one can be a hit or miss read, it has it's good and it's kind of a meh moments.
This was a fun different take on a second chance/work place romance! The characters could have used a bit more depth & build up and I was totally confused when we got two part two but it made sense as it unraveled. I didnβt expect the twist at all! And I loved the full circle moment in the epilogue β€οΈ
Even without the dual POV, the author left an obvious breadcrumb trail for the reader to figure out who's who before we get to the reveal. It started off well enough and then coasted before we got to the obstacle the couple had to overcome. Not a read that will make a mark, OK overall.
Way too insta lust for me! I loved the premise, but couldn't connect with the relationship and how quickly it developed.
14/10 I could not put this book down! When Easton and his friends develop an app for booking up, he never expects to meet Love, his 100% match. Only for her to disappear for 5 years. When his new employee, Drake, comes into the picture, all those old feelings come rushing back. But what happens when Love also comes back into his life?
Wow ! There is something addictive about a hero who falls first, doesn't hide his feelings, and is not afraid to be together with his girl. Marni gave us the best hero ever (and mind you she has given some of the best already) and his name is Easton Jones and you are all going to fall in love with him.
I was intrigued by the plotline and the characters from the get go and it become more interesting as I got deeper in the book. I read it in one go and at the mark of 70% I had to stop and force myself to get some sleep.
I loved the instant connection and chemistry between the main characters and obviously the spice level was signature Marni's style - too hot to handle.
Also enjoyed that their chemistry was not on surface level, they had real talks and great understanding.
All in all I can't reveal much without spoiling the book. Just go in blind like me and you will throughly enjoy it. Trust me!!
3.5 stars.
"Mr. Hook-up" by Marni Mann feels like a thinly veiled excuse to write a book that's 65-75% s3x scenes... not that I'm entirely complaining. *wink* This is my first read from Marni Mann, and I am definitely going to read more of her books in the future. That being said, while the spicy scenes are really, really good, I found this story to be a little lacking in terms of emotionality. It all felt pretty... superficial to me. I never thought I would see the day when there were too many spicy scenes in a book... but here we are. I would have liked to see a bit more connection between the main characters Drake and Easton, not just a bunch of excuses to get them together to do the dirty. The plot is scant. Sparks fly between them in the beginning, but wanes as a the book rolls along. I love a good forced proximity, alpha, billionaire MMC second chance story, so this did enough for me to enjoy it overall. Still, I did find this to be a very fast read, and it kept me reasonably engaged from start to finish. Can't wait to see where this series goes next!
Thank you to NetGalley, Marni Mann, and Montlake for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for my review.
Not my favourite Marni Mann book π€·ββοΈ I just couldnβt get into the story and it took me ages to get through. I still enjoy Marniβs writing, but sometimes her character dialogue and choices seems unrealistic.
Plenty of sparks, feels, and emotions to be had as the story unfolds. I thought Easton was really super swoony and the story itself offered a nice balance of cute and heartstring tugging. Altogether, a great book and a solid start for this new series.
Mr. Hook-up is book 1 in the Hooked series by Marni Mann and a great start to this new series. 4.5 stars
Easton and his buddies create a dating app for one night stands and he connects with username βLoveβ with off the charts chemistry but then she disappears. Years later Easton meets Drake and sparks fly just like with βLoveββ¦such chemistry, office romance, second Chance and moreβ¦canβt wait for more in this series!
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy (ARC) of this book Valentine PR. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Marni Mann writes amazing fictional men and Easton may be one of the best yet.
Mr. Hook Up centers around Easton who recently came out with a dating app (with the help of some friends that I hope to hear more about later in this series). Easton matches with a mystery girl who is exactly what he needs. When the relationship ends abruptly Easton decides that love is not real.
5 years later, the company is expanding and hires Drake who has experience expanding businesses to new markets. Easton finds himself drawn to Drake but still is hesitant after his past experience.
I loved the banter and relationship building in this novel. The characters were likable and that drives the reader to root for their futures together. I definitely would recommend!
This was a fun one! I haven't picked up a Marni Mann book in awhile and I enjoyed being back in one of her stories.
Easton and his friends have created a dating app called Hooked & he anonymously matches with a girl at 100% compatibility. This is unheard of in the app, so they are eager to explore their connection. After meeting and sharing a steamy one night concealed by masquerade masks, they experience a string of missed connections and can't seem to meet again. Our FMC disables her account and phone shortly thereafter.
Five years pass and fate brings them together again, because he is her new boss. I don't want to spoil anything, so I will leave it at that!
What you can expect:
Workplace romance
FMC in STEM
Right person, wrong time
Spicy spice
Sweet HEA

Mr. Hook-up is the first book in the Hooked series featuring Easton and Drake. I must say I am hooked with this group of friends. It begins 6 years ago as dating app inventor Easton and his friends get their hook up app off the ground. What begins for Drake and Easton as a casual masked hook up soon turns to texting and then ghosting. Drake is overwhelmed with her new job, relocation and thinks she can't give time to anyone including herself.
Now we fast forward to present and the men have more than made a name for themselves in business and the app is changing and growing. They need a global tech wizard and Drake is just the guy for the job but on the first face to face they soon realize that he is she. She is brilliant, savvy, and can hack with more than the best. She is a force in the tech industry to be reckoned with. Easton and Drake soon find themselves dancing around the familiarity of one another. When Drake finally connects the dots, she needs to dig back into her old dating profile and reconnect. This couple had sizzle, chemistry, great banter and when they finally come back together, they are soon heating up the tech world and their private lives.

This is an electrifying romance that had me hooked from the start. Easton and Love's initial encounter on the hook-up app was sizzling, with their witty banter and explosive chemistry making every interaction utterly captivating. Despite their no-strings-attached agreement, emotions run high, leaving me on the edge of my seat. The story's unique backdrop of a dating app development added an exciting modern twist, and Mann's writing skillfully brought the Boston setting to life. Years later, Easton and Drake's reconnection was heartwarming and steamy, making it impossible to put the book down. The secondary characters added depth and intrigue, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next installment in the Hooked series. Mann's storytelling prowess shines in this tale of love, desire, and second chances.
Honestly, I devoured βMr Hook-Upβ. At first, when I read the book description, I wasnβt sure if this was a book for me. I mean I love Marni Mann, but Iβm not always a big fan of books that are more erotic than romantic. And this book title made me think this book wouldnβt have a lot of romance. Luckily I was so wrong. Easton is supposed be a bit of a womanizer, but from the moment he starts talking with Love he changes. And I loved how easily he was swept away.
βMr Hook-Upβ had a fun twist I expected, but didnβt love any less because of it. The chemistry between the two main characters was amazing and I loved everything about them. Especially Eastonβs character made me swoon. He was just so nice, fun and manly. Sigh.. And the best thing about this book.. no 3rd act breakup.
I also loved how Drake was such a strong, high educated woman. I loved how much she loved her job and how hard she worked to get where she was. Her past choices might have been heartbreaking, but in the end it was the best thing for her and I loved that it wasnβt all perfect.
βMr Hook-Upβ was a wonderful read I read in a day. I loved the two main characters and I also canβt wait to read the other books in this series. Easton has two best friends that will make for some great books.
I really loved all the vibes in this book. The first connections between the hero and heroine were so fresh and brought such a fun dynamic to their romance! They meet on a hook-up dating app but they mesh so well together that they continue talking. Their connection was easy-going right from the start, but in true romance fashion something gets in the way.
Cue the second-chance romance! There's something about the way these two just *connect* that really sang to me. Her backstory came out more and more as the story progressed and it endeared me to her. And the hero? He's so smitten with the heroine, but my God, he's a dirty dirty man! Marni can write a sexy scene that makes me both swoon and blush! Highly recommend this one, especially if you've loved this authors recent contemporary romances.
