An amusing curiosity, but without any explanation of influences or histories of the pieces, it gets boring rather quickly. A lot of white pages, too, plumping up the page count unnecessarily. (I also found the large watermarks on the review copy made it difficult to see the detail in the art pieces.)
More of an art book than a graphic novel. It's single images of characters or a panel drawn in manga style. Interesting to leaf through.
Perfect for any manga and comic fan! The art in this book was gorgeous. I know a few of my regulars will love this book.
Marvel Comics: A Manga Tribute is a terrific artwork tribute book. Viz Media and Marvel Comics did a fantastic job with this Tribute art book. This art book features Manga versions of popular Marvel Comics covers from the last few years and also pinups of popular characters, both heroes and villains.
The artwork in Marvel Comics: A Manga Tribute is beautiful. The pinups are amazing interpretations of Marvel heroes and villains. Manga and Marvel Comics is an awesome combination. The Manga style of art works so well depicting action scenes from comics. I love the look of Marvel's heroes surrounded by Manga action lines. It's like a new modern version of the Kirby Krackle.
In Marvel Comics: A Manga Tribute all of the artwork speaks for itself. The illustrations are lush, full of color, and lots of action lines. This wonderful book is a new type of Artist's Edition book where new artists put their spin on your favorite superheroes and villains.
I hope there will be a volume 2 of the Marvel Comics: A Manga Tribute. I think many Marvel and Manga fans will buy it. I also think Viz Media should consider doing this type of Manga tribute book with DC characters. I think it would be another huge hit with fans!
If you enjoy Marvel Comics pinups, Manga, or just appreciate beautiful art then please pick up a copy of Marvel Comics: A Manga Tribute. This book is worth buying and enjoying the amazing artwork.
Stay Awesome and keep reading.

I love the art so much in this book. It is well done and looks amazing. There isn't really any text but each page is a tribute to a Marvel character. Can't wait to see the full size version.

This was an interesting book of artwork. I specifically enjoyed the Avengers section. Loki and Squirrel Girl were also really fantastic. It was really interesting to see other artists take on these long running comic book characters.
The art is wonderful but it would have nice if the book offer more than just the pictures. A breakdown of the artist process or inspiration for the piece would've been great.
A beautiful look at Marvel characters drawn manga style. I found the styling to be rather visually interesting and all the characters looked like themselves but in manga style that was both beautiful and uniquely different.
This book was a beautiful cross between manga and comics. Each page was amazing and as an old school marvel fan appreciated seeing all my favorite character redesigned in such cool ways!
This was a really cool collection of art! It showcases the different styles of artists and uses familiar characters.
This collection will be released on July 18, 2023. VIZ Media provided an early galley for review.
Having stepped away from the purchasing of monthly titles from the comic shop over a decade ago, I do not get to see much of the variant covers that show up more and more on comics. So, a lot of the artwork in this particular book was absolutely brand-new to me. The book is organized in four categories: Avengers, Spider-Man, X-Men, and then the rest of the Marvel Universe.
It was very cool to see these variant cover images from Marvel books done is the many styles of manga. Many are pin-up style and not dependent of the book's storyline. Some are in a very playful style while others are super-polished and poster-worthy. All of them are incredibly detailed and just fun to look at.
This is a great collection of covers and other art for the serious Marvel collector, particularly those who like a variety of Marvel characters, rather than just one or a small handful. It was a bit too generalist for me, but I appreciate its breadth and the art.
